Krystal Waters

3 sites · RVs, Tents26 acres · San Remo, VIC
Located on Phillip Island Road just before the town of San Remo and the bridge to Phillip Island. The property is 26 acres with beach frontage to Western Port Bay and views of French Island. The land has been used for pasture, mostly for cattle, with a large dam wall which at one time had a small gauge train track on top running to the old port of San Remo. These days the property is used as a hobby farm with a few cattle, a vegetable garden, some fruit trees, and replanting of native trees. We offer three RV/tent sites on the property, with our caretaker also residing onsite. While the sites ensure privacy, guests may encounter others during their stay since restroom facilities are shared among all campers. There is 1 shower with hot water and 1 flushing toilet. Site 1 stands apart from the other two sites, equipped with both power and water. Sites 2 and 3 are situated 20 meters apart, however, guests can spread out more if they do not need power. We're currently in the process of expanding our property, constructing several new sheds. As a result, you might notice building materials on-site. We've made every effort to separate these materials from the campsites and keep them out of the way. Our site is on a very busy main road and is easy to miss if you’re driving fast. I have a big sign on our gate but you may need to slow down in order to see it! The GPS should guide you right to the property. Please note, because of our elevated location the winds can be strong at times - but the views make it worth it in our opinion!

Tara Valley Cabin and Camping

4 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Kilcunda, VIC
Magnificent, spacious private property with stunning ocean views overlooking beautiful Bass Straight. We offer two camping options here: Self-contained sites in our back paddocks (these do not have ocean views from the campsites), or a single hilltop site that enjoys access to our fantastic camp cabin, and has ocean views. The Cabin site is perfect for caravaners and campers with full use of our large self-contained cabin. The cabin does not contain any beds but provides you with access to a kitchen, bathroom, and toilet for your stay. Enjoy the fun of the outdoors with all the convenience of full indoor amenities (BYO towels). Hang out in the spacious cabin and cook up a feast in the fully equipped kitchen or cook and dine al fresco with the barbie! The large picnic area is complete with cosy fire pit for those chilly nights. Please note, we require minimum two nights stays for the cabin option if booking over a weekend. If you do not need use of the cabin, and have your own camp toilet, look at booking our self-contained paddock sites - whilst they don't have the ocean views, they're just as beautiful, and peaceful! We're very animal friendly! Pets are allowed so long as they don't hassle other campers. Get away with the family or get some friends together for a great escape just over an hour from Melbourne. Inverloch - Bunurong Country

We started off spending weekends camping on our peaceful pocket of bush paradise when we built our home. We have since kept the campsite maintained and a place for family and friends to stay and escape their busy lives. Most recently, we have opened it up to Hipcamp in late 2020 where we have loved sharing our property and getting to know fellow campers.

The Wak Paddock

5 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Kongwak, VIC
The Wak is a well-maintained 1 acre vacant paddock where you can park your caravan or pitch a tent and sleep under the stars. It's a simple bush camping base positioned on the river flats in which to explore the beautiful surrounds of Kongwak. It's a chance at escapism hugged by velvet cattle-dotted hills and endless picturesque greenery. Please note: no facilities. Please arrive during daylight hours so as not to disturb others on the paddock. Driving on the paddock in the dark in unfamiliar territory adds unnecessary risk to others eg. collisions with swags. If this isn't possible, please set up camp in the house yard away from others. On arrival please call/text 0488091478 if you're unsure whether you're in the correct paddock. Our property is only 2 acres in total. The rest of the land belongs to busy farmers who don't want to be disturbed by lost guests trespassing on their land. Yes, that has actually happened! Entry is the right-hand-side gate at the end of Wolonga Estate Road. You'll see two cement troughs side-by-side sitting in the paddock. Located just 5 mins from the village where the vintage-inspired Kongwak Market is held every Sunday from 10-2pm. There's views of the green hills and beautiful beef and dairy cattle are rotated from paddock to paddock in nearby fields. They're the best kept cows you've ever seen! A curious fox has also been known to sneakily visit campers onsite. He's harmless but likes to steal the odd shoe. It's best to pack away any small items and food stuffs. 10-15 mins from Inverloch. 15 mins from Wonthaggi. 15 mins from Korumburra. 20 mins from Loch. 20 mins from Leongatha.

Tarwin Lower Eco Studio

1 site · Lodging17 acres · Tarwin Lower, VIC
17 acres, with 2 cleared, only 3 kms as the crow flies, from the coast. You can hear the surf in the evening. The property is the bush refuge corner of a larger grazing property. Whilst sheep and cattle graze on one side of the fence, the wildlife grazing on "our" side includes echidnas, wombats, wallabies, possums, koalas, and is home to more than 30 species of birds identified so far. Tarwin Lower EcoStudio is not far out of town and the Tarwin River (4 kms), for boating, paddling and fishing. Slightly further afield is Andersen Inlet (great fishing, paddling, paddle boarding, boating, and shallow waters for very young children), Venus Bay Surf beaches, and Walkerville South bay beach (with boat ramp). Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory less than an hour's drive away. And that's just the water sports. The Great Southern Rail Trail is just up the road, at Koonwarra or Leongatha, and has a range of rides with varying degrees of challenge. The Eco Studio itself is completely off grid, built from reclaimed and recycled materials, as part of our commitment to living lightly. There is an outdoor kitchen, and composting toilet, and our home garden (we live on the property too) is often abundant and the fresh organic produce is for sale for our visitors. PLEASE CHECK the description for further details about what is provided and to indicate if you are bringing your pet(s).
