Conveniently located between Launceston and Devonport, Buckbill Banks Camping offers a beautiful, level camping area overlooking Quamby Brook Creek. The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space. There is a woodfired hot tub beside the creek, which all campers have access to. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, or enjoying a morning soak whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, as well as your individual campfires. Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp together. The property has good access for all types of vehicles.

This is a beautiful natural campsite on land near our home. You'll need to have your own power, toilet/shower and leave no trace. Please note: We have recently undertaken levelling earthworks and many sites are bare earth. We recommended using a mat, we have a limited number available to lend, however we recommend you bring one if you have one. Looking forward to grassed sites in a few months!

The camp grounds are located just 8 minutes from Latrobe and 15 minutes from Devonport.The camping area is located on the banks of the Mersey River where you can enjoy your favourite water activities or just relax by the water side and enjoy the sounds of nature.Campers must be self contained with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome but please keep them under control. We have rain water available as well.We recommend a 4x4 vehicle when towing caravans as the driveway to the property is gravel and on a hill.This is a working farm so please have respect for the host property and livestock.$10 per person, per night. Kids under 12 are free so don't put them as part of your booking.

Check in after 9am you get a whole day BEFORE you camp for the night and check out by 3pm this way you get another day here and plenty of daylight to get to your next place. This place has river flats surrounded by wilderness and is the first private property on the river. It is 40 acres and we have MANY animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, dogs big & tiny and a pet pig who loves a belly rub. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way) The property has a big house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use, the hot water is via a woodfire (takes up to 9 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with spa bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few double bed air mattresses (Brand new still in boxes) are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) You are welcome to come camping anytime with a range of needs catered to. Sorry no wheelchair ramps, a single step into the house and one step into the toilet too. Pick whatever spot you like to camp, by the river, the rocky island in the river, in the bush, just on the grass anywhere. The big house is for you to use the toilet, kitchen sink and feel free to have a cold shower if you want. You can wander on the property connect with us and if you like you can help feed the animals. We are very happy to host people who love nature and enjoy organic farm life. There is NO wifi or mobile phone reception ZERO, so you can finally enjoy total tranquility. (there is a landline telephone in the big house so you can make a call if you need to, it is a private number)

We're just 7km from Hollybank Treetop Adventures, waterhole and mountain bike track, and even closer to Lilydale Falls and the Mt Arthur track. For those wishing to venture further, local vineyards, Bridestowe Lavender Farm, the seaside town of Bridport, and local beaches are not far away. Lilydale is 25 mins out of Launceston city but everything you may need is close at hand ... a pharmacy, post office, IGA, several cafes, local artisan shop, takeaway, children's playground and the local tavern are all in the one main street within walking distance.

The property is partly cleared and partly forested and is situated on, and surrounded by, a bend in the Mersey River in the shadow of Tulumpanga (the Gog Range). Stooge Farm is home to abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidna, wombats and a healthy population of platypus which can often be sighted at dusk along the river. Embrace rest, swimming, canoeing, fishing, barbequeeing, bushwalking, birdwatching in the lost world of Stooge Farm Tasmania Only 20 minutes from the lovely regional town of Deloraine where you can stock up on supplies, enjoy a good coffee and the many amenities and historic streetscapes. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.
