Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride.

Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub.
We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince.

Close to Sheffield the town of Murals, Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing and water skiing, Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids, Latrobe Chocolate Factory, Ashgrove Cheese Dairy Door, Van Diemans Ice Creamery, Wild Mersey MTB Trail network, Mole Creek Caves, Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary, Mount Roland hikes, Forth Falls and surrounded by many amazing walks and other natural Tasmanian attractions close by.
For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy, traveling in groups or prefer mountain views we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is accessible for standard cars. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites a little closer to the road.
Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. No amenities on site you MUST bring your own camping toilet and if camping in anything other then a caravan may be asked to show that you have a toilet with you. ** NO Dogs allowed on property as this is a working farm**

Really lovely Hipcamp with mountain and forest views. A short walk into the village and bonus access to an onsite toilet.
The camping area was reasonably flat and grassy with perimeter fencing.
Very quiet and peaceful location and plenty of space to manoeuvre a caravan. Would definitely recommend.

For $30 this place was fine. Bit of a walk to get to the toilet and a few obstacles and hazards so make sure you check the way to the toilet before dark and also have a torch if going in the night. Bring toilet paper as only one roll was supplied and there were 5 groups of campers. Didnt want to call or ring the bell at 6am to wake the host for more, lucky we had our own. There are also a lot of pet geese which are right at the fence so quite noisy.
Overall though, for $30 it was ok for the night.

We tent camped for a night. Location was good with a nice outlook. There are some good flat areas at the bottom of the camping area but the top section looked to be on quite a slope.
Uphill walk to toilet was not too far and toilet was clean. With only one toilet being available it could be a bit of a wait if the camp ground is full. We didn't have a problem with that as we were only sharing with about 4 other groups.

The Farm Cradle Country had beautiful views over the fields towards the hills.
The caravan site had lovely mowed green grass and was nice and level.
There was a communal fire pit to enjoy with supplied firewood.
When we stayed we had the place to ourselves which was awesome.

This spot has it all - location, solitude, views and sunsets. An easy drive from Devonport, with Sheffield nearby for food, coffee and water, the 3 days we spent at the Farm were the perfect beginning to our Tasmanian holiday. So much to see in the area, with Cradle mountain the highlight. A pre-dinner walk through Shae and Steve’s block was also beautiful. Thankyou!

Cherry Top was an absolute delight. The owners were cordial and accommodating. The tenting area was so easy to set up! You know when you can't drive the pegs in for all the gravel? Not the case here. Smooth pegs for daaaaays. Not far from the quaint community of Lilydale, which has a public pool, library (only open some days) and a few cute shops. Wild blackberries abound!
If you have the time, ask about the story of the Hazelnut child! Heck, might as well grab a bag of Hazelnuts while you're here 😉

We had the absolute best time camping at James, Graham and Christine’s place last weekend and couldn’t recommend it more! The space is perfectly secluded by the river where we even spotted a platypus frolicking in the water. The entire family were extremely welcoming and even allowed us to try some of their fresh produce and take it home! James and Graham have built their own sauna and plunge pool which are available to use for a small cost-an experience we absolutely loved before going to bed each night. Their hospitality throughout our stay was unparalleled and we’ve already booked our next weekend away to come back. Thank you for everything you did! Georgia and Kate :)

It was fantastic! So central to Launceston and surrounding Tamar Valley areas. We stayed 4 night altogether. Beautiful grounds surrounded by little lakes. Toilet facilities were great! Lots of animals for the kids. Great sized sites and Lucas was super friendly. Book on HipCamp or pay on-site. Arrive - pick your site and all done! Highly recommend. We stayed in unpowered site.

When we got there there was plenty of river sites but the people that were there would not let us put our van there as they had friends coming later that night wanted it (4 sites more) I though first in gets sites but didn’t want to argue as they would have made our stay horrid.

Fraser Flats was everything we expected and more. A brilliant site, next to Ringarooma river, on a large farm, in a tranquil valley. Derby is just done the road, with the Dorest Pub and The Hub pizza house, but we just lived the chance to chill and enjoy the natural environment.
