Located just 9 km from Scottsdale, Pandora Valley offers a secluded and sheltered camping area in a paddock with not a house in sight. The property is nestled within the scenic Cuckoo Valley, covering 90 acres and currently operating as a beef farm. The Mackenzie Rivulet winds through 20 acres of native rainforest in the centre of the property, providing hours of exploration for campers. The rivulet is shallow, with clear, slow-moving water, making it a perfect spot to cool off on a warm summer’s day or a beautiful place to sit back and read a book. The property has only recently been purchased by its current owners and is a work in progress, so for now there are limited facilities onsite. Campsites are pet friendly. Fire pits are allowed in all sites.

Located in the next paddock along the lane from Home Base, campers can set up on the edge of the bush, roughly 20 meters away from the rivulet. This site has a nice flat area and has a walking track down to a small set of rapids in the river. Access is via farm laneways but is accessible by 2wd vehicles. The camping area is relatively flat, but vans / motor homes may need to be levelled. Guests will need to be self-contained, There is no power or water connection on the property. All campers to take waste with them and leave no trace. Phone service can be patchy on the property. There is a waste dump and water fill point located 9km away in Scottsdale.

Located just a bit further down the driveway from Home Base, campers can set up in the back corner of a small paddock. The paddock is partially surrounded on 3 sides by trees but gets plenty of sun light. This site is within easy walking distance to the rivulet. Access is via farm laneways but is accessible by 2wd vehicles. The camping area is relatively flat, but vans / motor homes may need to be levelled. A small amount of Fire wood is included in the booking and more can be purchased if required. This site currently doesn't have its own fire pot yet but campers are allowed to have a fire. Guests will need to be self-contained, there is no power connection on the property. All campers to take waste with them and leave no trace. Phone service can be patchy on the property. There is a waste dump and water fill point located 9km away in Scottsdale. Owners - Andrew & Laura, their two children Carter & Sylvia ages 9 & 4 and two kelpie cross dogs Scout and Storm 13 months and 3 months are also camping on and off in the area but there is heaps of room if you would like your own space.

What a great 3 days we had here! Andrew and family were so accommodating for us and went above and beyond to help us out. Their property is beautiful and would definitely love to come back.

Great stay for the Easter break, owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. Don’t trust Google maps as they sent us to the wrong side of the farm. It is a working cattle farm and we found the cattle quite entertaining. Just out of Scotsdale.

Pandora Valley. Just starting out Andrew and his family are working hard to bring thrir small farm into what I can see is going to be in demand in the future. We stayed at Rapids, tucked away in a secluded corner with Scottsdale just down the road you would be forgiven in thinking you were on a farm a long way from anywhere. Kookaburras calling morning & night, Carnaby Cockatoos, fish in the riverlet that runs through the property. A few cows around but not a problem as they are fenced off. Big plans brewing, can't wait to come back and see the progress. Andrew & family are friendly hosts supplying us with fire wood and allowing us to run our genset outside of acceptable hours due to us being the only campers at the time of our visit. Sad to leave but we have to keep heading back to catch the ferry to the mainland. Til we meet again 😍

Carter's Corner
Lovely and quiet with a gorgeous outlook and close enough to Town if you need anything. We had a great sunny spot to enjoy the birdsong and read a book. Being able to access the creek via a lovely bush walk was really special, and the sunsets were spectacular. Laura and Andrew were the perfect hosts and we will definitely be back.

We loved this place! Andrew was really helpful with directions and communication. We stayed by the river and Andrew provided us with a fire drum and wood so we could enjoy the campfire. Waking up to the sunrise and the birdlife was simply magic. Thank you Andrew for letting us stay at your property.

We had an amazing stay at this camping spot! The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They even offered us fresh quail eggs, which were absolutely delicious for breakfast. Such a lovely family with beautiful kids, and we made a new little friend with their puppy who was always up for a pat. The creek was gorgeous, and the track they’re working on made for a really nice little walk. Even the cows were super friendly! We would definitely recommend this spot and would absolutely love to come back.

What an incredible spot to get away from the busyness! Great location, close by to Scottsdale and many great MTB tracks, but feels so secluded and rural. We were even lucky enough to be gifted some quail eggs from some gorgeous quails right on the property! Thanks Andrew & Family, we will be back! 🚌 🏕️

We had a lovely one night stay at Andrew and Laura’s place. Amazing hosts. Lovely to meet the family. Thank you Carter and Sylvia for the fresh quail eggs. Easily accessible with our 18’8 van. Beautiful grassy location close to creek. Thanks again for having us.

I loved tent camping at Pandora Valley, the kids and I had the best time! We were sheltered from the wind and positioned in such a great spot for kids to be kids. There is a beautiful area down by the river with hammocks, a tyre swing and totem tennis. We also enjoyed having a dip and taking a short walk through the bush. It made me feel like I was in my own world! The owners are super helpful and friendly. Their site is still being established and they have some fantastic ideas they are working on. We will definitely be back!!
