Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites.
There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife.

Access height has been raised to 3.7meters. Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions.
There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flatish firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning.
The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition.
FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. NO OUTSIDE WOOD CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PROPERTY AND BURNT. I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE A MIDDLE GROUND ON THIS ISSUE BUT UNFORTUNATELY SOME HAVE ABUSED THE FAIR RULES SO THIS IS NOW THE SITUATION.

We grow alot of our own fruits and veggies which you will get opportunity to see and taste when camping on our property.
We have a large fire pit, and a little private one, that you’re welcome to enjoy for cooking, or just for relaxing. We can provide fire wood for an additional fee.

Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking.
As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs.
There are NO FACILITIES on the block so campers must have their own toilet. This is VERY important to note before you make a booking!
There are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.
We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded.

Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub.
We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince.

The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter.
The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please).
The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips!
Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

As well as camping, it is also available to rent for a variety of purposes; as the ultimate fishing retreat, for wedding, birthday and other significant life events, as a yoga, meditation and lifestyle retreat, or simply the ultimate holiday destination. This is such a special place that you really need to come and experience it for yourself to believe it. We await your visit.

What a superb spot! An easy drive from Hobart with stunning views and several beach accesses. Our border collie, Billy, loved chasing the seagulls! With only three sites over a large area, there is ample privacy which we like. This is going to be our new favourite!

Exactly what we needed after travelling Tassie for five months. We were lucky enough to have the entire area to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet and hot tub. Thanks Bert for making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was as best it can be. Cubby House corner seems to have the most privacy but there is definitely limited solar opportunity. We had two nights to enjoy the bath and the set up to create the hot water was easy to follow. We shall be back. Thanks heaps

Annette’s land space is large and has spectacular views. We opted to camp in a spot not designated which suited our needs.
we witnessed quite a lot of bird life and dolphins playing in the bay.
Unfortunately for us we copped severe windy and wet weather so didn’t get to explore as much as we would have. I did like our stay but would definitely consider the time of year when returning.

This camp site has plenty of room and plenty of options for your off grid camping. I really enjoyed my stay choosing to camp almost on the point of Dormans point. It gave me a wonderful wild wind experience on one night - an amazing show of the how strong and alive wind can be. It was exhilarating. The rest of my stay also had beautiful gentle calm as well and stunning clear blue skies and moonlit nights. The private beach is something else and my highlight was the swimming. The water so lovely and clean and clear. Great for snorkelling. Highly recommended spot 🙂

Spectacular site with amazing water views. Loved the quiet camping environment. Top spot and not far to travel to Hobart. The host Annette is brilliant and quick to respond to messages. It was great having the ability to pull up and camp where we liked. Only one minor disappointment, according to the hipcamp site it states you can have a fire pit (which we purchased for the trip) but upon check-in we were advised we must have an enclosed fire. We do love sitting around an open fire. Other than that, highly recommend this host and her property. Would love to camp there again 😍

We had a peaceful and relaxed night at Craigbourne Estate and woke to a beautiful view of the sunrise over the dam. Powered site 1 was spacious, neat and tidy, and easy to find.

Bert met us on arrival and drove down to site . Explained about the area and came back at m to light the fire for the bath . Very private camp and the bath was amazing. Kept heat for a long time . Very peaceful and relaxing stay . Camp area is very grassy and green with natives and listening to the creek to go to sleep was very restful.

To the north, the Bay of Fires’ white-sand beaches are fringed with bright orange, lichen-covered rocks. At the southern end, the pink mountains of Freycinet National Park provide a prime backdrop for bushwalking and camping, with options from basic campsites to luxury glamping retreats.
Launceston and North
Launceston is the gateway to northern Tasmania, where you can hop between colonial towns, sample Tassie wines in the Tamar Valley, or catch coastal views and diverse wildlife at the Narawntapu and Mt. William national parks.
North West
The glacial lakes and wildflower-carpeted moorlands of Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park are northern highlights, watched over by the much-photographed Cradle Mountain. Ambitious hikers can tackle the popular 65-kilometre Overland Track. On the north coast, boats from Melbourne arrive in Devonport, from where you can set out along the coast or follow the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail.
