The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon. Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome. There may also be a chance to feed the sheep and collect eggs (seasonal). Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. From the 15th April fire are allowed. & portable firepits are available for your use Sorry, not pets.

We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 3 friendly dogs, 4 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor every Sunday and Wednesday, and daily during school holidays. There are also restaurants and galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer. Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf. Rocky Dale Farm

This is a campsite for those who want the best of both worlds, the serenity of the Australian Bush, but close to all the modern conveniences and holiday activities. Surrounded by the Hindmarsh Valley National Park and a working sheep farm, you’ll be sharing this campsite with the local kangaroos, and if you’re lucky, an echidna or two. There’s a creek running through, and vibrant bird life. Nearby is a beautiful bush-walk through the Mount Billy Conservation Park. Situated half way between Myponga and Victor Harbor, only 15 minutes to either, there are many activities available. Kayaking on the Myponga reservoir, or surfing, swimming and sun bathing at either Horseshoe Bay or Waitpinga. Urimbirra wildlife park is less than 10 minutes away, and around the corner is the Softfoot Alpaca Farm, with the on-site Swagman Restaurant. Also in Hindmarsh Valley is the lovely restaurant Lost Phoenix Farm. Over your stay, you will likely encounter our two dogs, Lola and Sherlock, who very much enjoy meeting our guests. Lola is particularly fond of children and loves to play fetch with them, whilst Sherlock will try charm you out of your sausages. Despite what he says, he is well fed at home. They are both good at giving high fives. If you would prefer not to see the dogs, please just let us know and we will keep them under strict supervision. An RV dump point is located on Adelaide Road, Victor Harbor, within the tourist information bay, 200m south of Waterport Road, approximately 10 minutes from the site.

All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. Firewood can be brought in by you or we will provide wood for $30/night per site. Sites suit bush camping with limited amenities. Potable water is available upon request but there are no toilets or services on site. There are also restaurants and galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer.
