The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owner does not reside near the campsite.
The Scrub Campsite has evolved to offer adults-only camping experience. In response to strong demand for child-free accommodation, the campsite now operates exclusively as an 18+ campsite ideal for couples, solo travellers, and small groups seeking a tranquil and relaxing environment.
Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement.
A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. You can connect your gas bottle to a Kick Ass hot water shower. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans by signage on the front gate. Campers are not permitted on high fire danger days.
Wood can be purchased from the self service white ibc container for $20 for a wheel barrow load.
Please adhere to the camp rules which are posted at each campsite.
The campsite is located on the Heysen Trail and close to many Lower Fleurieu Peninsula beaches and attractions. The popular Belicious Cafe is a 50 minute walk.

We ask that campers respect all other campers, the land that they are camping on and follow the campers motto - Leave nothing but your footprints.

Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer
Ranges and is
on the Bremer River in Rockleigh.
This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.
We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums-
surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated
further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and
requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.
The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.
We are 45 minute drive
from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.
We are only 30 minutes drive from
Monarto Conservation Park
which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals.

We’re just minutes from the McLaren Vale wine region, local Hills wineries, and 35 minutes from Victor Harbor’s coast. For a meal out, The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road, with cozy wood fires in winter and a beautiful outdoor area in summer.
All three of our private, well-spaced sites include toilet facilities and offer something unique for overnight stays or day visits with a picnic. You can even walk to the sites for a day outing and enjoy the views, the creek, and fresh air, especially at The Hut, perched atop the hills.
Topspot – a peaceful hilltop hideaway among the trees with amazing views. 4WD is required for overnight stays and good Backing Skills
The Hut – a rugged hut with three enclosed sides, perfect for sunset drinks or a picnic. Suitable for tents or camper trailers; 4WD and reasonable backing skills required.
The Laneway – beside the winter creek, ideal for small caravans, motorhomes, 2WD vehicles, or tents (please check with hosts if your vehicle is large)
Family and Animal Experiences: Pets are welcome (please keep them under control unless discussed with hosts). Families are encouraged to contact us during their stay if they’d like to meet our farm and rescue animals, and we’ll arrange a visit around feeding time. $10 from every booking goes directly toward feeding and caring for our animals, helping keep them happy and healthy.
Notes and Safety: Autumn and winter rains may make hill tracks slippery; bookings may need rescheduling for safety. Fires must be contained within the provided fire pits. During bushfire season, open wood fires are not permitted. Limited phone coverage is available at The Laneway. Please respect all guests: loud music and disruptive behaviour are not tolerated.

Obviously vehicles lengths vary. Vans larger than 18ft will need experienced drivers who have towed in tighter locations and know how the wheels track behind the tow vehicle. Larger vans will need to take care. Under 18ft vans will easily fit, but care also needed.
Family hobby farm on six green acres in the historical town of Clarendon (Toondilla), just half an hour south of Adelaide. Set in a gully with a winter creek (Willow Creek) running through (dry in warmer months). Conveniently located within walking distance to the main street of Clarendon - five minutes to the Bakery and 10 minutes to the Royal Oak Hotel and General Store!
The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon.
Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
Plenty of options in the area to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy, including: nearby wineries (some dog friendly), beaches (Moana and Aldinga/Silver Sands can be driven on), reservoirs (Mt Bold - hiking and views) and (Happy Valley - hiking, running, kayaking, fishing), Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation Park, ForestrySA land (including TreeClimb, Bone Gully MTB and parkrun on Saturdays at The Avenues - Kuitpo (Your host is the Event Director).
Bakery, General Store, Clarendon Bowling Club, Riverbend Reserve, Op-shop and Emprades (antiques shop) and Royal Oak Hotel all in the mainstreet of town. Along with historical buildings, you can relax in the local town or venture further.

We are a small vineyard, winery and cellar door set on 45 acres of land. It's mostly pasture with 7 acres of vineyard. Guests are welcome to park during the week in the cellar door carpark or on the South side of the cellar door. On weekends we have a grassed strip, 8 metres wide, between a vineyard block and a windbreak. Which overlooks the valley behind and distant hills to the front. Being self contained is essential. Our toilets are only accessible when the cellar door is open. On weekends guests are welcome to come for dinner on Friday or for lunch on Saturday or Sunday, and then stay overnight, so they can enjoy a few drinks without worrying about driving home!
Apart from the cellar door cluster, there's a minimum of 100m between sites, with the off grid block being 250m away. This gives plenty of seclusion so you can enjoy your time in nature!

Welcome to our home Tanah Merdeka! Enjoy a private and picturesque camp-site by the creek with views of rolling hills, rocky outcrops and ancient gumtrees. Watch the Kangaroos and the birdlife, see if you can spot a yabbee or frog in the creek and sit back and unwind.
Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford.
The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.
Dogs are allowed off lead within the fenced camping paddock but be aware of grass seeds.

We had a great overnight stay at 'The Hut' and were well looked after by Sam. We were greeted with a gift basket and escorted to our site which had a beautiful view over the hills for sunset. Highly recommend this site as long as you have a 4wd as the ascent is quite steep. Loved it and will be back.

We have now stayed here twice and it was another tremendous group of experiences for our whole family. Everything was wonderful and Sam and Chris are the best hosts and taught us about all their animals at feeding time. So very thoughtful on all aspects. I can believe how lucky we were to stay again. I won't forget the Echidna I saw by chance, first one in my life I have seen in the wild : )

We arrived in a wonderful weather. Although site 6 is slightly sloped and requires a little bit of tricks to place the tent (ensure cozy sleeping experience at night), we absolutely enjoyed site no. 6’s quietness and privacy. Thank you Rob for hosting us and chatting with us.

Loved our stay at Six Strings. Michael is an amazing host, he was welcoming and accommodating.
The wine tasting is a must, Michael provides a fantastic insight to the history of the vines and the process he goes through to make those great wines. It's the most personable wine tasting you will experience, a truely great experience.

Our second time camping here!
We had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Gum Gully Heights in Rockleigh, SA. Rob was welcoming and friendly, and the communication before our stay was accurate, helpful and informative.
Although the weather was a little rainy and cloudy, we still had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. We would definitely recommend this Hipcamp and would happily stay again!

Our stay here was really nice, we were amongst the vines - beautiful scenes. Being pet friendly we could bring our puppy, he loved it. The bathroom facilities were modern and clean. Other sites were far enough away for privacy, and Alistair was very responsive and a great host. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to others.

Rob was super friendly, he even paid a visit to us and have a quick chat. We had booked Site 6 and it’s perfect for us and our dog as you can have a whole site to yourself and it is gated too! Perfect for our fur baby. Would definitely pay another visit in the near future with our mates.

We enjoyed a beautiful long weekend stay at Tillbrook. James and Annabelle were friendly hosts and responsive via the app. There was a wedding on 1 afternoon/evening, so we couldn't stay on the back block as originally booked (it's in the line of sight from the cellar door) but James offered to refund the $ difference. There was another camper when we arrived at the cellar door driveway block by the water tank. We were able to stay at another site for the first night and then move by the water tank the following day. Lunch at the cellar door was phenomenal - highly recommend booking if you're staying over a weekend. We had our dog with us and were able to use the toilets at the cellar door. On leaving, there were vans on all sites. We enjoyed seeing the cows near the back block, horses on the neighbouring property, kangaroos and rabbits around at dawn and dusk and we saw a flock of yellow-tailed black cockatoos!

Great place to stay, nice and quiet. Definitely do the wine tasting it's well worth it. Only a short walk into Aldinga for supplies or a meal and all of the McLaren Vale sites at your door step

Absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect, with beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made the whole camping experience even better. Would definitely stay here again!
