The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owners do not reside near the campsite. Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement. Persons under 18, youth groups, school groups or scout groups etc. are not permitted to book at the campsite. A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. You can connect your gas bottle to a Kick Ass hot water shower. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans by signage on the front gate. Campers are not permitted on high fire danger days. Wood can be purchased from the self service white ibc container for $15 for 20kgs. Please adhere to the camp rules which are posted at each campsite. The campsite is located on the Heysen Trail and close to many Lower Fleurieu Peninsula beaches and attractions. The popular Belicious Cafe is a 45 minute walk. Whole campsite bookings can be made by contacting the owners. We ask that campers respect all other campers, the land that they are camping on and follow the campers motto - Leave nothing but your footprints. Topspot – a peaceful hilltop hideaway among the trees with amazing views. 4WD is required for overnight stays and good Backing Skills The Hut – a rugged hut with three enclosed sides, perfect for sunset drinks or a picnic. Suitable for tents or camper trailers; 4WD and reasonable backing skills required. The Laneway – beside the winter creek, ideal for small caravans, motorhomes, 2WD vehicles, or tents (please check with hosts if your vehicle is large) Family and Animal Experiences: Pets are welcome (please keep them under control unless discussed with hosts). This is a Farmhouse with all the feels of a comfy homestead. The property was originally a dairy and features the remains of the old homesteads. The space This is a Farmhouse with all the feels of a comfy homestead. The house was built approx 80 years ago by the farmer's family. The big, solid walls are laid with concrete by the farmer and his young son, from the materials on the property. It has recently been rewired and fully re-plumbed, all to make it safe and usable. The floorboards are all sanded and polished, and a new lick of paint has made the property fresh and inviting. The property was originally a dairy and has the original ruins of the old homesteads and dairy buildings from generations before. The property is now used for cattle, sheep, and crops, and is about 1000 acres. It is bordered by Currency Creek, which flows with crystal-clear water from a spring all year round, and is a wonderful track to hike around and enjoy beautiful views of the inlets and creeks leading to the lower lakes. The farmhouse is surrounded by huge pine trees and gums, and there is an easy access turn-around driveway and plenty of parking. The property is only a short distance from Goolwa, Middleton, and Victor Harbor. In the future, the plans are to have a veggie garden for tenants to pick from and chickens, ducks, and small animals to associate with. There are cattle with calves and sheep in the neighboring paddocks. We have invited you to bring your dog along, but at this stage, they will have to be tethered at all times so they do not escape and interfere with stock. This is for their safety as well. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Please note that Pymbroke is in the Murraylands zone & fire danger season starts early. 1st November 2025.

We have 43 beautiful acres half way between Goolwa and Strathalbyn. We are located walking distance from lake alexandrina, we’re there are plenty of activities to do such as fishing, boating, and more. There is abundance of wildlife with our resident mob of kangaroos stoping by daily it’s a bird watchers paradise. This site is a 4 minute walk from the main house and is completely private. The property has its own private road so plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes, we have horses and cows that guests are welcome to feed over the fence. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire. The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing. Must be self contained and leave no trace.

Kim and Michael's warm welcome and hospitality made us want to go back again. Beautiful vineyard and olive trees. Spotted Kangaroos nearby. Not even to mention the wine! Five Stars. ☆☆☆☆☆

Kim and Michael are amazing people. They were extremely welcoming. We loved the evening around the camp fire and wine tasting the Six Strings wines. Yes, we will defnitely be back for more fresh air and wine.

1 night at Six Strings - McLaren Vale Vineyard

Amazing spot to stop for a few nights. We stumbled across this gem whil passing through. The property is great, being able to pull your van right next to the vineyard. Its a short trip to the beaches and local groceries, and also quick to the cbd, bit feels like you are rural. If you have time, do the wine tasting. Its so great hearing the owners passion for their wine and being able to taste what was grown on this property.

Weekend Trip to Breakaway Farmstay

This was the 3rd time we've stayed there. We love this place. Short drive from Victor Harbour, 5 minutes to Waitpinga Beach and Moo's distillery on site for lunch or dinner and drinks. Rob and family and Moo's staff are so lovely, this is a great spot to just getaway for a few days and recharge your batteries

Unfortunately only got to stay for one night and wish we had more time here, such a cool, free / untouched space where you feel so far away from the hustle n bustle. So quiet and peaceful, would go back tomorrow.

I really enjoyed camping at The Scrub Campsite. The communication with the owner was clear, so it was easy to find and the is good signage as well. We had a tent and, although we only spent one night there, we had a great time. I loved that we could pick out our own site. There are some closer to the communal kitchen area, and others further, tucked away. They are all tidy with trees and bushes and a clearing for the tent and the car to park. There is a firepit, table and chairs with every site. We took our own wood (you can also buy some there), had a nice fire going and did some campfire cooking. There is a lot to do for the kids as well if you go with the family. Waking up to the birds and sunshine was awesome. Definitely would go back and recommend it to others.

Noorla happy farm is a great place to stay/camp, have been there many times, it is a place to relax, feel safe, enjoy the scenery. The hosts are very welcoming. Looking forward to my next trip there.

Weekend Trip to Pymbroke Camp

This campsite was amazing and was perfect for my group trip. Each campsite was large and great size for our larger group. The property is well kept and extremely tidy, including the 2 long drop toilets. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay. Site was easy to locate and ground was perfect for tents.

Six Strings is a perfect campsite. Kim and Michael are very welcoming. We had a lovely grass site overlooking the vines. The wine tasting was excellent, good wines and Michael was knowledgeable about the whole process. I’d highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the MacLaren Vale.

Weekend Trip to Stone’s Summertown Cherry Farm

We had a great time here on our first camping trip with kids. The fully enclosed site was fantastic for giving the children freedom to play safely. There were rocks to climb on and explore, plenty of space for walks, and we saw kangaroos nearby which the kids loved. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the site was easy to access with a nice flat surface for setting up camp. A lovely, relaxed spot for a family weekend away.

We had a lovely evening at Harry’s. Harry and Anne are very friendly and accommodating and with the added charm of the animals, our family really enjoyed our getaway. We continued on to Mannum Falls the next day for a hike and picnic.
