All three of our private, well-spaced sites include toilet facilities and offer something unique for overnight stays or day visits with a picnic. You can even walk to the sites for a day outing and enjoy the views, the creek, and fresh air, especially at The Hut, perched atop the hills. Topspot – a peaceful hilltop hideaway among the trees with amazing views. 4WD is required for overnight stays and good Backing Skills The Hut – a rugged hut with three enclosed sides, perfect for sunset drinks or a picnic. Suitable for tents or camper trailers; 4WD and reasonable backing skills required. The Laneway – beside the winter creek, ideal for small caravans, motorhomes, 2WD vehicles, or tents (please check with hosts if your vehicle is large) Family and Animal Experiences: Pets are welcome (please keep them under control unless discussed with hosts). Families are encouraged to contact us during their stay if they’d like to meet our farm and rescue animals, and we’ll arrange a visit around feeding time. $10 from every booking goes directly toward feeding and caring for our animals, helping keep them happy and healthy. Notes and Safety: Autumn and winter rains may make hill tracks slippery; bookings may need rescheduling for safety. Fires must be contained within the provided fire pits. Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford. The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though. Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house. You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only. Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed. We are a small vineyard, winery and cellar door set on 45 acres of land. It's mostly pasture with 7 acres of vineyard. Guests are welcome to park during the week in the cellar door carpark or on the South side of the cellar door. On weekends we have a grassed strip, 8 metres wide, between a vineyard block and a windbreak. Which overlooks the valley behind and distant hills to the front. Being self contained is essential. Our toilets are only accessible when the cellar door is open. On weekends guests are welcome to come for dinner on Friday or for lunch on Saturday or Sunday, and then stay overnight, so they can enjoy a few drinks without worrying about driving home! Only one site can be used at a time ensuring hipcampers have the place to their own!
