The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owners do not reside near the campsite. Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement. Persons under 18, youth groups, school groups or scout groups etc. are not permitted to book at the campsite. A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. You can connect your gas bottle to a Kick Ass hot water shower. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans by signage on the front gate. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Please note that Pymbroke is in the Murraylands zone & fire danger season starts early. 1st November 2025.

Amazing spot to stop for a few nights. We stumbled across this gem whil passing through. The property is great, being able to pull your van right next to the vineyard. Its a short trip to the beaches and local groceries, and also quick to the cbd, bit feels like you are rural. If you have time, do the wine tasting. Its so great hearing the owners passion for their wine and being able to taste what was grown on this property.

Six Strings is a perfect campsite. Kim and Michael are very welcoming. We had a lovely grass site overlooking the vines. The wine tasting was excellent, good wines and Michael was knowledgeable about the whole process. I’d highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the MacLaren Vale.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Rocks Farmstay. We stayed in the Niagara Falls site which was just beautiful. The kids had a blast in the cubby, and the kayak on the creek. The adults loved a walk around the property, sitting at our campsite taking in the beautiful surrounds and the sound of the running creek. The site was big enough for our 23 foot van, which was reasonably easy to manoeuvre into position and the facilities were good. Quite a steep decline when approaching the bridge, so a 4WD is required if towing a decent sized rig. Thanks Steve for sharing your property with us!
