Thank you who camped this year. We have « closed » our area from mid January to April. If you wish to camp during that time message us on Hipcamp, and we will endeavour to see if it is possible. This assists in avoiding overcrowding) There is NO access to our property from Kuranda end! Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. Checkout is generally when you feel like it. Dog friendly. Site may be closed in the wet season from December to April, once monsoonal events occur

This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. My family loved camping on Dee’s property. They keep the place well maintained. Toilets and showers are in mint condition and the camping grounds are well maintained too. Dee supplies heaps of cooking equipment and utensils from the local communal hut as well as swimming equipment. The fresh water creek is always flowing and the water temperature is perfect. Thisvspace is great because you cannpark under trees which give good shade, very close to creek and comunal space as well as toilets. I loved this place everything about it, Rob and Dee very lovely accomodating and welcoming went out of there way to make us feel at home and they went out of their way to wish my mother happy birthday by putting up a sign, very attentive. The space is gorgeous good swimming spots and lush environment, ill definitely be returning for sure!

Heidi & Mike really are superb hosts and their secluded creek-side property is utterly amazing. We were spoilt for choice for creekside areas to park our caravan, all of the potential sites were equally stunning, beautifully level with a lush buffalo grass carpet. The wildlife was abundant and a true joy for birdwatchers - Victoia's Riflebirds, Wompoo Fruit Doves, Emerald Doves, Spotted Catbirds, Forrest Kingfishers and Honeyeaters. We didn't get to see a Tree Kangaroo but we did see Platypus swimming in the creek next to camp. Amazing!! Heidi & Mike, thanks for sharing your sensational slice of paradise, and we most certainly will return.

Come and stay at our beautiful 200 acre farm, surrounded by the Mulgrave River and only a 10 minute boat trip to the magnificent Russell Heads. There is high tide boat ramp access and your choice of river front camping areas. Perfect spot for fishing, birdwatching, crocodile spotting and relaxing in the outdoors (follow the Host's safety advice re crocs). We are around 30 minutes south of Cairns and there is plenty of great things to see in the surrounding region with national parks, beaches and waterfalls all nearby. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome but please ensure they are kept contained and you respect any fire restrictions in place. Sorry, no pets.

Spacious campsites are beside or near a massive dam that attracts a great variety of bird life and the amazing sunsets are different each day. 🌅 Three spacious spots are available a few short meters from the edge of a large dam (sites can be seen from the farm road) with another completely secluded site amongst the bushland. Bird watchers dream with the constant residents and seasonal birds flying in for the dam. Swim, kayak, catch and release fish, throw in a RedClaw pot or hunt for mussel clams. Do some hiking or 4 wheel driving around the hundred acres with our 4 wheel driving tracks. Meet the Farm Animals where campers can chat with the menagerie of animals we have on the farm such as Clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows, chickens, buffalo, peafowl, ducks and friendly geese. Hold newly hatched poultry, friendly chickens and maybe even lambs. Bookings are essential come by the farmhouse and meet at the gazebo. We are 10mins from Dimbulah or 20mins to Mareeba with their many attractions. We can tell you all about the many attractions and activities this area has to offer. Please Note: Cattle Creek and Waterfront Campsites are accessible by 2WD. The other campsites are 4WD access only and with off road campers/caravans only (high clearance to get through a dry creek crossing). These are self contained sites so please take your own shower and toilet facilities and take away all waste. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be supervised at all times for the protection of the sheep, poultry, wildlife and not to be brought to the house yard. Sorry no motorbikes or ATV’s. We have a wet season (December to March) and dry season (September to December) choose your ideal times to stay.

Plenty of space to set up where you feel comfortable within the fence and surrounded by horses. 15km or 20 minutes from Cairns City Centre and 10 minutes from Coles or Woolies in either direction. (Please note Gordonvale Woolies is closed on Sundays, Mount Sheridan shopping centre has Kmart, Coles and Woolies). A cane train line runs across the front of the property so during cane season the trains come past a few times during the day and night. They can be noisy but are fairly quick. Fresh and crystal clear swimming hole/ creek at the end of the road if you continue west down Maitland Road. Please stay in the front block and before the horse stables. Guests must be self-contained with their own toilet facilities.

Juliet and Grant have been custodians since 2003, in that time we've built a house, raised a family and now that Alex and Hayley are both at University, life has become a little quieter, (not so sure if we like the quiet though!) Now we've only just started with Hipcamp, we do have a lot to discover, happy to listen and learn. We do offer plenty of space and you will not be crowded out as we keep numbers very limited. No facilities, no toilets, showers, electricity, rubbish bins etc. We do ask that you respect this as you must be fully self contained. We do not consider, a bucket with a lid, to be self contained ok! Right now though in our top dam, we have a flock of White Egrets roosting at night, spectacular when they depart & return each day, however due to the number of these birds, hundreds if not more! they have fouled the water in the dam & it's a bit on the nose.
