You will have access to our beautiful peaceful surroundings, with adequate shelter under some lovely big trees park your camper or pitch a swag. We also have a nice running creek that you can enjoy watching our many wildlife that are present throughout the creek, fish, eels and turtles. It's truly a very private and relaxing spot to chill out and enjoy camping for a few days or whatever suits your needs while passing the area. Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals. Site 1 right down on the creek large grass flat space big enough for two families to set up camp. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ. Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area. Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience. Main smaller but very private area with the creek running around the outside of the spot. Easier access to the creek for a dip and larger firepit. When the ground is very wet, a four-wheel drive car is recommended. No fishing, no dish washing in the creek to protect the wildlife, please. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. Dogs are also welcome, but they have to be on the leash . Thank you.

Under some rainforest trees or on the flat which is a large grass area. Not so ideal for a camper trailer as it slopes slightly. When the ground is very wet, a four-wheel drive car is required. No dish washing in the creek to protect the wildlife, please. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. Dogs are also welcome, but they have to be on leash. Thank you.

Nice spot, In notes of booking it says “swimming not advised”, on arrival we were told no swimming at all as 2 crocs live in the area, the bank surrounding the creek is easily accessible for a crocodile and could cause harm.. my partner and I with our dogs unfortunately Packed up and left as we just felt on edge and not safe

Stunning location, beautifully managed with gorgeous surrounds. I even got a luxurious massage off Miyuki-the owner. We DEFINITELY plan to come back (if there’s ever a vacancy - it’s generally booked up). Great weekend.

Beautiful grassed area very quiet. Creek nice an refreshing. Bonus toilet which was nice an clean (portaloo) Only downfall was access to creek is poor and not suitable for older people of kids.

Beautiful little private spot next to the creek filled with fish and turtles. There were small rubbish and recycling bins provided, as well as an outhouse with a portable toilet which was kept very clean. Couldn’t swim in the creek as there has been recent croc sighting nearby but still great to camp by.

Miyuki and Larry have curated a very special spot next to a beautiful creek. Feeding the turtles was a highlight, as was the massage my partner received from Miyuki, she said it was amazing and perfectly relaxing. They have a communal portable toilet that is immaculately kept. It was extremely private, we could have been miles from anyone. 10/10 would recommend 👌

Wow, this place was amazing. The site was clean, well maintained and spacious. The creek was beautiful to swim in and the toilet amenity was very clean and the porta potty changed out daily. There was another camp site around the corner but they were out of site and a great distance away. Loved this place and definitely recommend it!

Great spot close to Josephine falls and Mount Bartle Frere. Campsite is private and spacious. Swimming in the river next to campsite and Charis/table and Bins were a nice touch. Would stay again 😁

Beautiful camping spot on the creek, welcoming host showed us to our site. Very peaceful and great location, highly recommend. Just watch the grass, it gets dewy and can be easy for a 2WD van to get a bit stuck, we parked a bit further up the slope and were fine 😊

What a stunning setting! Supremely peaceful and pituresque - a completely wonderful sanctuary!! Miyuki could not be more thoughtful or attentive to all the little touches at this site! Next time we’ll stay a week!!

Site 2 has a fair slope to it - but nothing some chocks couldn’t fix for our vans! Very large site - we had 2 vans and a camper trailer, still had plenty of room! Friendly hosts and great communication. Dog friendly - they loved the creek. Access to creek a little challenging and steep on site 2. Appreciated the toilet, tables and chairs and mozzie candles.

Our group with young kids enjoyed camping at Woopen Creek campsite. There was plenty of room to run around. The creek was lovely, although slightly steep for little people to get down to. Still manageable with adult help! Toilet facilities were clean. Miyuki also offered massages so a few of us enjoyed some pampering! Such a lovely treat while camping! Would recommend!

Nice camp-site right on the creek. Shady trees and big open grassy area. It was great that a toilet was provided. Also gave us some food to feed the fish and turtles. Nice firepit area. Firewood a little expensive for what you got but otherwise the stay was perfect. Would stay again.

Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us Larry and Miyuki! We stayed at site 1 and enjoyed the privacy, beautiful rainforest and bird life and Miyukis hospitality in ensuring we were comfortable and had all we need. The bins and toilet were a luxury for us after several nights free camping and the the turtle and fish food brought lots of fun! Thank you so much!

Lovely spot with 2 relatively secluded sites. As described, site 2 was on a bit of a slope, but we were still able to get our camper van level with a wheel ramp. The portaloo is a nice touch. Larry was very helpful getting us settled then left us alone, which was perfect. Thanks!
