Weekend Trip to GLOWS Garden Centre Camp

We had a wonderful stay at this unique camping spot tucked away at a lovely garden center. The surroundings were peaceful and full of charm — a perfect place to unwind. Our host was incredibly kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed our conversations and appreciated the helpful tips about the area. As a special bonus, we were even offered some fresh vegetables straight from the garden — such a generous and thoughtful gesture! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a calm, friendly, and down-to-earth experience.

1 night at Tully Mountain Views

Oh my goodness, I don’t know where to start. The site was expansive with a huge flat area. The lawn was lush but neatly mown. Strategically placed passion fruit vines made us feel quite secluded. Access to a bathroom was such an amazing bonus! Our host was lovely & welcoming as was her cute little dog. We chose this site as it was pet friendly and we are travelling with our dog. We had absolutely stunning views of the mountain, moonrise and in the morning clear skies allowed us to see Hinchinbrook in the distance.

3 nights at Malanda Stream Private Camping.

We had such a wonderful time at this camp site. You get the place to yourself. It’s a wonderful spot right on the creek with platypus and the next door pond. Fire wood and pit provided and such a warm welcome from the Heidi and Mike. We will be certainly going again.

Tropical Hibiscus Caravan park was a great stay! We were there for 3 nights with our motorhome. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. On Mondays and Wednesdays they fire up the pizza oven and you can bring your own pizza to have it baked, which is lovely and tasty! Showers are powerful, amenities are clean. Laundry equipment is a bit outdated. The beach is a five minute walk from the park, which is beautiful. Grocery store is a 5 min walk as well, very convenient. The park is small , peaceful and quiet. All in all a very nice stay!

We stumbled across this site when we were lost at night, and were lucky enough to meet Margui, who made it possible for us to stay in a superb space, and to discover its environment and resources! Thanks to Margui. And don't forget "hold my beer!!!"

FQN at its finest. You won’t find any fauna or flora better than this on our planet. This spot, at the footings of Wooroonaran NP, nestled on the mighty Mulgrave river, is the best as it gets…be ready for it!

We absolutely loved staying at Glows Garden Centre! The sites were all huge and thoughtfully positioned for privacy, with a fire pit, rainforest and free range poultry galore! Town water available to fill tanks as your drive in. Plenty of room for the kids to play, and the perfect location to explore Mission Beach and surrounds - especially when seeing the caravan parks packed in like sardines! The hosts Nancy and Shane were so friendly and the onsite cafe was amazing too. Definitely recommended!

This campsite ticked all the boxes for Private Property camping. The site down next to a beautiful, running creek, the opportunity to camp by ourselves in such a lovely environment and the connection with hosts generous enough to share their “special place” all added up to a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Great facilities, very clean and modern toilet and shower block. Wish we could have stayed longer! Pool area was also lovely!

We loved staying here. Very peaceful. Views are amazing. Amenities Very clean. Ground is flat. Amazing scenery all around Tully. Sheree is really nice and welcoming. You don't have to have neighbours as it is very well set out and plenty of room. Jacko little fox terrier comes and visits and a cute little dog.

Weekend Trip to Three Falls Holiday Millaa Millaa

Lovely experience at Three Falls, Nisha was a wonderful host who welcomed us at the gate and showed us round her beautiful property. The camping area was seculded and picturesque. Power and water was provided and we had a relaxed and private night, which was nice after many evenings in large, busy campsites. Nisha showed us her menagerie of animals, including a duck that thinks it's a chicken. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay after a day exploring all the nearby waterfalls.

All aspects of this hipcamp are great. The lawns are lush, the views are spectacular, the rainforest walk is picturesque and the location is handy. Big thumbs up for this spot!

We have only opened 4 lovely grassy sites. Our Hipcamp opened September 2024 and only 200m away is a cafe at our Garden Centre for a great coffee 6 days a week! You will need to be self-sufficient however we do have a cold water shower and toilets available between 7am and 5pm in the adjoining Garden Centre. We are located on Tully Mission Beach Road with the bike path between Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach running right past the front gates, so a quick ride into town and plenty of space to bring your boat! We your hosts, (Nancy and Shane) operate the adjoining Garden Centre and Raw Materials yard so there is always something happening and with vast local knowledge of what to do and where to go, we are only happy to help. Opened in September 2024 we have planted a tropical fruit forest plantation as well as citrus orchard and with our 50 beautiful free-range chooks (pets) you will have them wandering around freely, clucking away happily.

A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. A highlight is a beautiful permanent creek which meanders its way through the property for approximately 1 km and is habitat to platypus, turtles, an abundance of bird life with towering blue and rose gums. Take a dip on a hot day in one of several water holes including a large lagoon adjacent a mini waterfall surrounded by beautiful she-oaks. We have 4 available campsites, spread well apart (although visible) all with amazing views.. Maximum occupancy per campsite is 2 guests (of any age). All camp sites have their own fire pit (season permitting). We sell large crates of split firewood for $20 or you can collect your own from the property. Please do not bring firewood onto the property for biosecurity reasons. If you are traveling with friends and everyone wants to book a site with us we would be delighted to host you but please ensure that you set up your caravan/tent/swag individually at each site noting the maximum occupancy of 2 guests per site.
