The property has had changes to 3 sites which happened on December the 17th 2023 at around 6am in the Morning we were awoken to the sounds of timber and dirt hitting the house and in a matter of 2 hrs sites 1 /2 and 3 were totally destroyed and the Trevethan Creek was directed through our property, This event was a Landslide from the top of the Moutain which went through the Trevethan Falls and the trees and dirt got caught up in a bottle neck down from the falls. We already had 3 .5 Meters of rain in 4 days! the bottle neck broke out at 6 am hitting us like a freight train and the rest is a good story to tell around a fireplace. We are working hard to clean up sites 1 /2 and 3 which I can see results. Site 1 is open and is very good with water running by the site/ Site 2 is open and we are currently doing work on the new site 2 / Site 3 is currently moved until we clean up the old site. We have a new Site which is Site7 on the creek and very private and Site 4 on the dam and Sites 5 and 6 are bush camps and are very Private. We are hoping to see the tree Kangaroos coming back as well which are good viewing from Midnight on wards to 3 am. Please come and stay we have more sites planed for the future. Please be sure to read the descriptions carefully Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. There is also a hobby farm in operation on the property, so you may hear and see the workings of the farm as you explore. We are confident that once you discover this place, you'll return time and time again.

Yindilli Camping Ground is set amongst some of the most beautiful open eucalypt forests and rainforests of north Queensland and is located on the CREB Track, a popular 4WD tourist route. Nearby is the iconic Roaring Meg Falls. The track is not suitable for towing caravans. We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery. An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing. Facilities include: septic toilets, showers, dry firewood (on request) and spacious sites Children and pet friendly. The water is tank/bore which is fine for drinking and I am happy for you to fill your water tanks during your stay but I do ask that you use it sparingly…….. no washing of vehicles or vans please 🙏 With only 1 site, you will absolutely not be crowded in. There are no toilet or shower facilities available so you will need to be fully self contained. This is the perfect base to explore all that the Daintree, Port Douglas and Atherton Tablelands areas have on offer. Julatten Hotel is a great spot for a cold drink and a lovely meal, with live music on the weekends. 9 Mile Store is 2km from your site and has fuel, some groceries items and takeaway food if you don’t feel like cooking. Mossman is only 18km away for most other supplies and services.

The water is tank/bore which is fine for drinking and I am happy for you to fill your water tanks during your stay but I do ask that you use it sparingly…….. no washing of vehicles or vans please 🙏 With only 1 site, you will absolutely not be crowded in. There are no toilet or shower facilities available so you will need to be fully self contained. This is the perfect base to explore all that the Daintree, Port Douglas and Atherton Tablelands areas have on offer. Julatten Hotel is a great spot for a cold drink and a lovely meal, with live music on the weekends. 9 Mile Store is 2km from your site and has fuel, some groceries items and takeaway food if you don’t feel like cooking. Mossman is only 18km away for most other supplies and services.

What a special little gem of a campsite .. our site had tap water and power , and plenty of room for our ute and camper trailer setup . Peaceful river with sandy bank is only 50 m down some steps. Kayaks, canoes and sun lounge are provided too . Judy and Don are great hosts and very welcoming onto their picturesque property ... not our first time here and we will be back again and again. VERY hard to beat !

Two years ago we stayed at the Barron River Getaway and we had such an incredible time that we decided to return. Same as before, we had an amazing experience staying on Judy and Don’s property. Our hosts were warm and inviting, and with a large and lush lawn overlooking the Barron River, it was the perfect place for our student group to spread out. We enjoyed watching the abundant birds and marsupials on the property, swimming in the river, and sitting around the campfire while having enriching cultural exchanges with our hosts and the guests they brought. Don and Judy don’t just know the local history, they’re a part of it, and have played an important role in making Kuranda what it is today. We are so grateful for the hospitality and flexibility they showed us, and their farm is a great place for any group gathering.

Bobby-lee was super friendly. Loved the grassy site, and the crystal clear creek with its sandy bottom and beaches were sublime. It was like being in a green cathedral. Only downside were other campers feeling the need to leave their own hundred or so metres of private creek to constantly pass through or take over the little piece of paradise directly beneath my campsite.

We stayed at site #2 and it was fantastic! So quiet and private. Creek had some water in, from ankle to knee deep, great for a quick rinse! Long drop toilet with a view is great! Camp site is huge, so easy to manoevre trailer/caravan around. Plenty firewood was provided, and hosts Debra and hubby came around for a coffee and brought some lovely fruit as well. Highly recommend this spot! We will be back soon!

This place is nothing short of amazing!! Plenty of recent rain meant everything was green and luscious. Flowing, fresh creek was perfect for swimming. Nice sandy bottom with plenty of shade cover. Bobbi and her family are very helpful and run an amazing camp-site. We will be back to enjoy this slice of paradise.

Great little campsite only a few minutes from Mossman and 2 minutes from the fantastic Newell Beach. Great location to explore the Daintree, Port Douglas areas and local freshwater swimming holes. All sites are grass around a small man-made dam with fire pits, surrounded by farm land, with friendly cattle. There's a communal shed to catch up with neighbours at sundown. Family run property very welcoming. No power or toilet but ideal for self contained camping and vans, with water taps available to top up your own tanks. Ideal place to explore from or just relax.
