If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore. The site is flat and mowed, with easy access from the road for caravans. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) ** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority. The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. ** Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club. Guests will be able to see them fly around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club. During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globemasters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area. Firewood able to be purchased as an extra. Please leave no trace and take all rubbish with you. Lake Cottage Mount Walker

A private lake, totalling 25 acres, on a 320acre farm, just one hour from the centre of Brisbane in the Scenic Rim Regional Council. A farm stay with privacy, space and stunning scenery for guests to relax. Views of the lake, Mount Walker and the Great Dividing Range. Plenty of fish in the lake for keen anglers. Bird watching. Private walking tracks. Large windows to take in the lake, farm and mountain views. A veranda and fire pit. Shady trees by the lake to sit, picnic and fish. Walk down to the Bremer River to look for platypus, koala or echidna. Escape to the country and create some memories. The cottage would allow a family to have the best of both worlds, children could camp safely next to a fire pit under the stars, whilst their parents enjoy the comforts of home. Fully self-contained lake cottage: airconditioned; one bedroom; queen size bed; one bathroom; shower over bathtub; open plan living; full sized kitchen; full size fridge; toaster; kettle; electric fry pan; basic kitchen set up; washing machine; dryer; ironing board and iron. This is a working farm, access to the farm maybe requested at check in.

Well set up amenities and grounds, and plenty of room. Beautiful surrounding bush and water outlook. Megan and caretaker Graham were very helpful when we had an issue with our boat. Many thanks for a carefree, lovely stay.

Weekend Trip to Haigslea Bush Camp

We shifted from the Wallaby site (tucked away nicely) to this one for our 2nd night & they both have their perks! This one is right by the dam with limited tree cover but provides the ability to see/prepare for passerbys (for those traveling solo &/or with Dogs) & swim without needing to leave camp! We ducked out to the vacant camp site (the possum site?) to have our post-swim Zoomies hehe Love the trails to keep pups fulfilled!! Didn't feel like we would bump into anyone! 👌✨ Camp area is behind the Horse yards etc at the back of the property, so it's safe & quiet. Love this space!

Everything was clean and tidy and amenities were very convenient. It's set in a lovely area. However very hot in the wooden cabins, next time I will come up with a plan for that, it was still a great stay.

The staff were really great! The first night we were there, there was a group who were loud throughout the night and in the morning Doug was really proactive about getting everyone's feelings about them and moved them further away from everyone. Apart from that, even though it was a long weekend, it didn't feel like we were all camping on top of each other's spaces! We had lots of fun!

Absolutely stunning sunset views and nice and secluded. Took the advantage of the total fire ban and went to the bun pub for dinner. Awesome old pub with $25 steak night on Thursday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere with the sound of cows all around. Also a great show of stars at night. Would be great for small groups 4-5 camps/ vans wanting to camp together with large communal fire out in the centre of the camp area. Look out for the resident magpie as he liked to swoop even sitting having your morning coffee. Friendly attentive host with delicious fresh eggs!

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.

Great open space with plenty of room for a drive thru site or large group with a big fire pit and amazing sunsets. Plenty to see around the area with the Bunya mountains up the road 20 minutes and the The Bun hotel five minutes away for a good feed and a cold beer with great service. Gav and Andria were very helpful on arrival and left us to enjoy our stay.

Beautiful spot! Easy to get to and from Toowoomba city. Clean toilets and showers. FYI highway noises are persistent without a sound barrier but we slept fine. Would come back again :)

10/10 recommend this beautiful camp site!! We came here with a group of 4x4s and had plenty of space!! Very private and such an amazing view from the top of the hill. We also loved the drive into the property, and Richard was super accommodating!

Great spot on the lake. Very quiet and private but within a short drive to shops and cafes if you need them. Spectacular views and a charming old house. Well maintained garden with plenty of space and a fire pit. House was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We made the mistake of leaving the windows open as the sun set and then the house was full of insects (despite the fly screens), so once we knew to avoid that mistake the next night we had no dramas.
