There are plenty of activities to try around town, from bushwalking, exploring the Rail Trail in Murwillumbah and downhill mountain biking at the Uki Mountain Bike Park (Less then 8Km from our property). The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace. We are a short drive from the beautiful Hell’s hole, Unicorn falls and Mavis Kitchens. Stonesthrow is a rural property in the Illinbah valley, nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, with council approval for limited camping (4WD only - leave no trace). So if you want to escape the crowds at public campgrounds, your privacy and enjoyment are assured! We are NOT a 4WD adventure park so vehicles must be parked up at your site on arrival and left there unless leaving the property to go to town/tourist activities. Any exploration of the property or travel to toilets is strictly on foot only- NO 4WD'ing. Anyone driving around the property will be asked to leave. We have sites both near the creek and facilities and up on the plateau. Our elevated/remote sites require capable 4WD's with off-road/AT tyres and campers need to be fully self-sufficient including having their own sealed chemical camping toilet and an ensuite/privacy tent. If you don't have your own commercial chemical camping toilet then you will be given a choice of sites with access to facilities. We reserve the right to view/verify your toilet before allowing you access to the elevated/remote sites. Caravans are restricted on where they can access- with no guarantee of sufficient sunlight for solar. Elevated/remote sites cannot be reached with a caravan- please bear this in mind if booking with a caravan. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead when moving about the property. Please let us know if you wish to bring a dog and you will be allocated an appropriate site as some areas of the property are designated 'dog-free' camping zones. The common area (old shearing shed) has composting toilets, communal fridge, microwave, jug, drinking water, sink for washing up and table/chairs. There is 500 m of (shallow) creek frontage, kms of walking/riding trails and grassy creek flats for recreational activities. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. There is also a variety of fruit trees and plantation timber. Please note that arrival must be in daylight hours with sufficient time for orientation, travel to your site and set up before dark. If your plans necessitate arriving later than this then please contact us to discuss prior to booking. When booking - please read the property rules carefully.

Our campground is on my family’s dairy farm that has been in the family since 1904. I’m the 4th generation on the farm and work alongside my parents and my husband operating the family business of milking cows. The campsite is on a private area of flat ground right beside the Oxley River with views of Mt Warning. We are excited to share our piece of paradise with others. We DO have a composting toilet but DON’T have any shower facilities. Although the creek is very close by we advise you bring your own drinking water. We are pleased to provide a gravelled campfire area along with a gorgeous outdoor setting that seats 8. Our campground provides a unique private camping opportunity. Once you book whether it is for a group of one or 25 no one else can book the site. The site is not visible from the road. Perfect for a relaxing getaway that brings you close to nature and connecting with friends. As we are a working farm, unfortunately, we cannot allow pets.

We loved Curtain Fig Drive. It was a magical family site. The actual caravan sites (we have a 24ft caravan) was so easy to park. We even stayed attached to the car for convenience. We paid for a feed bucket and fed the many animals and it was a blast. Our granddaughter came one of the days and help feed. She fed and petted the horses. She loved it. We also walked down to the pretty creek and of course, she again had to paddle. Guy, his wife and all his kids were wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower block is always clean. The only thing I would recommend is contacting Guy before you arrive. You really need to listen to the instructions of the address location. It is a little tricky. But if you do as he tells you it is simple. We give Curtains Fig Drive 5 stars.

We stayed at Curtain Fig Drive. The sites are good sized allowing privacy between neighbours. There are many animals roaming free on the property and our kids loved it. We paid the extra for a feed bucket which was well worth it as the kids would feed whoever came to visit our tent. Guy and his family are incredibly welcoming. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Camping here is as it should be. Our friends wanted to join but were told the camp was booked out. We were shocked at how empty it was. There was space and despite there being only 1 shower, I never saw a line up. We were not on top of each other. The free roaming animals all looked loved and well cared for. Also Guy was going to town and stopped and asked each camper if they needed anything!

I messaged the owner with our thanks but a brief summary: My partner and I had the most wonderful time, even with the rain! We did have only one issue and that was the group of young ones next to us. Being young ourselves we know how to go out and have fun, however the noise was almost unbearable. However facility wise everything was wonderful. Beautiful scenery and the creek was nice and cold (yes we were a bit silly going for a swim) would love to come back again soon!

It is at the forefront of Permaculture Design, displaying many permaculture principles, and produces an abundance of food and various yields from within its living environment. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet is a family friendly farm, situated on a sixty six acre (27 hectares) property that fronts Terania Creek opposite the village of The Channon, Northern NSW. The property is completely off-grid and contains 800m of creek frontage with fishing spots, a swimming hole for campers, and abundant wildlife ideal for bird watchers. Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet has recently become a community of 8 private residences that share this beautiful property. We kindly ask that campers respect the residents’ privacy, however if you spot them on the common grounds, they are always up for a friendly chat. CAMPSITE The campsite is situated on the communal grounds at the heart of Zaytuna Farm Eco Hamlet on flat lawn surrounded by bamboo and the sounds of the rainforest. We also have 10 raised camping shelters on offer, suitable for small tents for 1-2 people. Campers have close access to bathrooms built from eco-friendly shipping containers with composting toilets and warm showers; a fire pit, a kitchen garden to share from, an education/function center (available for hire), a common sheltered area to relax with wifi, and an equipped shared kitchen. OTHER NOTES We strictly have a no drug and alcohol policy. Due to our policy and customs, we kindly ask that no pork products enter the property, and that reasonably modest clothing is worn (shoulders down to knees covered is fine) including around the swimming hole. Please note this is not the place for partying, but a place for connecting with nature and nurturing wellbeing. We kindly ask that all rubbish is taken off the premise as there are no bins. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or Any Camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek. 2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time. 3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds treat it like you would a national park. 4. All waste must be bagged and taken off site with you. Our property is located in the heart of Rathdowney, gateway to the picturesque Scenic Rim. There is a two week maximum stay available at the Memorial Grounds. Be COVID-safe! You’ll need to provide us with your name, address, mobile, email and vehicle registration. It helps us to keep everyone safe. We have powered and unpowered sites available for independent travellers. On-site at the Rathdowney Memorial Grounds it's an easy walk across the street for supplies, or for dinner at the local. We have toilets and hot showers available! The ovals have lights. We’re a small family on a beautiful 5-acre farm next to the Brunswick River in Mullumbimby. We practice permaculture and organic fruit and vegetable farming. Camp under shady trees or in a grassy paddock. We are 10 mins from the Brunswick Heads rivers and beaches. Simple amenities including an outdoor shower. You can purchase firewood or bring your own. Dogs permitted as long as they are kept on a leash or kept within the campsite and it's left clean. All rubbish must be removed. Restricted numbers so you can be sure you won't feel overcrowded. Contact us if any days aren't available as we often get cancellations. There's a country feel yet it's 3 mins away from the thriving township of Mullumbimby. Lots of cafes, artisan shops, Kiva spa and amazing healthy food everywhere. Or enjoy the nightly pilgrimage of the flying foxes across the evening sky.
