Nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park, in behind Calen (Camerons Pocket), this great campsite offers you the opportunity to go swimming, fishing in the fresh water, put a tube in the creek and relax by a campfire. Oh, and there's berries! You will be camping right beside St Helen Creek, just a throwing distance from the Strawberry Farm which is open during the winter months (July- September). There is access to toilets and showers, but you will need to bring your own drinking water. You are welcome to have a small campfire in one of our dedicated firepits, and enjoy the starry skies at night. This campsite offers the perfect experience for the whole family. For an additional fee, you can pick strawberries from July- September. Blueberry picking is from October to January. There is lots of wildlife around from kookaburras to kangaroos. Plenty of places to swim if you wanted it to be more private. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate tents through to caravans, campervans and larger camping vehicles. If you want to get away from the rat race for a while this is your ideal location. We take one booking at any one time. You have the site all to yourselves. Your site is three acres of privacy and seclusion, rainforest and a beautiful freshwater creek. Close to walks to Araluen Cascades and the Wheel of fire falls at Finch Hatton Gorge. There are no facilities here, so you need to be fully self-contained. No wifi. No mobile coverage (great to get the kids off the screens). There is plenty of water, firewood and wildlife though. Sometimes you won't be able to access the site as creek floods in heavy rain - can be cut off. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please note check in is between 2 pm and 5 pm unless arranged otherwise. Access is best suited to 4WD or High Clearance vehicles. Not suitable for small cars. The site is suitable for caravans/trailers 6 metres long or smaller. We can accommodate up to six vehicles on the site (for a large group. travelling together). Forest Flying rainforest activity is next door. ($90 per person - booking essential). If you want to get away from it all and relax beside a beautiful crystal clear spring-fed creek with a rainforest backdrop while clouds float by, then this is a place for you. We have one private creek site with or without power, you will have the place to yourselves. Ammenities are at the main residence up the hill, a small usage fee per stay per couple applies. We are not a commercial campground and are in process of restoring the property back to its glory and bring back the native animals after being effected by bushfires in 2018. There are BBQ and fire pit areas setup for your use at the site and firewood is readily available at fee. The property is located 800m above sea level 11km up Dalrymple Road in Eungella. The property entrance is concealed and on the left side were wheelie bins are located and opposite a traffic mirror. From the front gate which is on your left and has a Land for Wildlife sign is a locked gate. Eungella National Park is boarding the back of the property where the cloud rainforest and creek are located. Nights can be cold and rain sometimes unpredictable. We have a 150 acre property, 50 acres of which is rainforest with a magical creek winding through it. Rainforest walks have been marked or you can just follow the creek and discover secluded swimming holes with small waterfalls. There are leaches in the rainforest and we recommend that you bring insect repellent and adequate hiking gear. You will love the bird watching, sighting the native animals with many rare species around. Forest bathing is a must with areas setup to sit and relax. During November firefly´s drift through the property at dusk. Rosellas, King Parrots and Finch's are popular on the property and Cockatoos make a regular visit. After a good rain, a frog fest starts and can be heard all night. There are chickens free ranging and Kookaburras have a good laugh at them most days. Access to the property is by booking only, we recommend, 4WD and AWD during the wet season but 2WD is ok during the dry times. High clearance caravans up to 7m or medium size campers are ok, we have a long gravel entry road into the property with inclines and tight bends as shown in photos. It is recommended with towing a trailer that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle. A tractor is available on site if needed in wet conditions. Campers are preferred to have own amenities and all waste has to be collected and taken off the property. Use of the amenity block is available at the main residence on request. Washing machine and dryer are available for a fee. Please contact us if you need further information. This is a dog and horse friendly property. We have many ground feeding birds, free range chickens and wallabies and request that animals do not wonder unattended. If your pet is well trained and can be restrained from casing wildlife then all is good to bring them. If in doubt please ask for confirmation to bring them along. Please note that we have parasite ticks on the property and recommend that you give your pet a tick treatment prior to arriving. We have no mobile phone coverage on the camp site, limited coverage if you drive up the hill at the highest point. Internet is available at the main residence at a fee per stay.

A beautiful area to camp and learn more about Sugar Cane as we have travelled a lot ourselves with our large family in a caravan we want to offer other families an affordable place to stay. We are on a cane farm and have flat grassy area suitable for all types of vehicles, tents, camper trailers, caravans or just swags. The house site is a large area around the main homestead of the property with toilet and shower facilities right there, including washing machine and dryer at a small cost for your convenience, also a BBQ that can be used with table and chairs also, come and have a drink and a chat in the afternoons and if wether and wind permit and no fire bans in place a chat around the fire pot.We are just off the Bruce Highway 1 hr from Airlie Beach and 45 minutes from Mackay. Safe to pull up and leave your van while you go sight seeing in our beautiful area.

Gully Getaway

Bush camping along the banks of a seasonal Gully that is lined with huge, majestic paperbark trees. There are 10 separate camp spots and all have a slashed track to the pit toilet. 3 in shady areas away from the gully that are suitable for Caravans. 3 located near the Gully, suitable for Caravans and larger groups and 4 that are located near the Gully but only suitable for camp trailers, roof top tents and smaller groups. Enjoy nature and feel free to explore the gully with it's many natural bridges and hidden animal habitats. As this is a working family farm, cattle from the remaining property will graze this Gully block from time to time so all gates must remain closed. We also ask that children are supervised at all times and advise that the Gully is not suitable for swimming. Kelsey Creek is a cane farming district and a small gauge train line goes past the property which makes for a lovely rural experience. Keep an eye out for the glow in the sky and you might get to witness a cane fire also. Being only 7 minutes west of Proserpine it is well located to take in the beauty of the Whitsundays. Gully Getaway is in an Environmental Protection Zone that restricts trees being felled and the removal of debris in the watercourse, so please do not use for firewood.

Ben Lomond Station

Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available. We are a nature based camping area. Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace. Access to the camping area is for 4WD only with caravans off road and high clearance. Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect any fallen timber yourself. There is a ban on cutting down any standing timber even it is dead. There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers. Ben Lomond station has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.
