CALLEMONDAH FARM CAMPING Callemondah is a 1500 acre Farm owned by Norm and Rhonda Betts located south of Warwick in Queensland. Callemondah is Aboriginal for "Many Hills" and the Farm is an Aussie Whites Sheep Stud Farm. Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting. There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here. We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions. We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting. You can go for an amble throughout the farm or do a larger hike and take in the spectacular views from the various high points. 1 night at Waverley Historical Homestead

Fab stay @ Waverley Homestead, would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made it very special - so quiet, and with stunning views over the paddocks, looking towards the distant mountains. Great for individual campers who like company, but would also be perfect for a small group of friends, as the campfire in the middle makes it great for socializing. Really enjoyed the company of Mikey - resident dog - who is such a sweetheart and hung with us until Gav came home to reclaim him. Gav is lovely - popped down to make sure we had all we needed, and we had a good chat, then he left us to enjoy the solitude. Awesome sunset, and although it was a super hot day, it gradually cooled down and we were able to have a wee campfire, which was magical. Stars were spectacular throughout the night and birdlife lovely to watch in the trees. Plenty of shade for us in our van and flat ground to park up on. Norm was very helpful with directions on how to get to the campsite, and the drive in was beautiful. We stayed for two nights and although we didnt spend much time on the grounds due to visiting family, the time we did spend was peaceful and picturesque.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Norm was a great host - awesome communication, reliable, and just a genuinely nice person who want you to enjoy your stay (e.g. he put some grain down near our camp so the kids could get a closer look at the animals). The kids loved playing in the dam with the rope swing and canoe. Love that you can pick your own site and have a campfire - grass is kept short, there is plenty of shade from the gum trees, and a peaceful bush vibe. Feeding the pigs was also a highlight for everyone! There is heaps of room to explore - certainly doesnt feel like you are only 10mins from town. Basic bathroom did the job - portaloo was your average portaloo. It was in a central location and a good distance to all sites.

Lovely clean farmland. Close to Warwick and a short drive to Stanthorpe. Dam for the kids to swim in, which they all loved. Great that norm does the rounds of an arvo with firewood for sale, and to ask families to join in with animal feeding.

Absolutely stunning sunset views and nice and secluded. Took the advantage of the total fire ban and went to the bun pub for dinner. Awesome old pub with $25 steak night on Thursday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere with the sound of cows all around. Also a great show of stars at night. Would be great for small groups 4-5 camps/ vans wanting to camp together with large communal fire out in the centre of the camp area. Look out for the resident magpie as he liked to swoop even sitting having your morning coffee. Friendly attentive host with delicious fresh eggs!

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.

Norm was very welcoming from the time we arrived. He took the kids for rides on his bike up to the house with us to feed the animals and the kids had the best time feeding the pigs and patting the dogs. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Great open space with plenty of room for a drive thru site or large group with a big fire pit and amazing sunsets. Plenty to see around the area with the Bunya mountains up the road 20 minutes and the The Bun hotel five minutes away for a good feed and a cold beer with great service. Gav and Andria were very helpful on arrival and left us to enjoy our stay.
