Daintree Village is a short stroll up Dagmar Street before reaching public toilets, mail box (pick up mail from Daintree Village Hotel), Croc Xpresso Cafe (breakfast & lunch), Daintree Village Hotel (lunch & dinner), Daintree Originals (souvenirs, arts, crafts, t-shirts and tropical clothing). The CREB Track is nearby running through the heart of the Daintree Rainforest to Roaring Meg Falls and on to Wujal Wujal. Only 4x4 vehicles without trailers on this adventurous track. The CREB Track is currently closed. Also there is the Bloomfield Track running from Wujal Wujal to Cape Tribulation. A large open marquee area is provided shelter and shade between all sites. The two very friendly donkeys love to be with children. The property is in the middle of the Daintree Rain Forest with all its beauty. There are endless walks, guided tours adventure activities for all ages and fitness. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Pull in with your RV beautiful peaceful spot surrounded by fruit trees and rain forest. Go for a swim in one of the many local swimming holes. Great adventures to be had exploring the amazing Daintree National Park from within, Beautiful Cow Bay Beach is just 3 km away. The children will love the donkeys and chickens. Campfires are permitted outside of any restrictions and must be contained and supervised at all times. Well behaved pets are allowed on leash as we have our animals.

Had an absolutely beautiful 2 nights at Twitchers Hill with friends and 2 Italian greyhound dogs. Theresa and Frank very generous and relaxed hosts providing more than just a peaceful hilltop heaven. Very approachable and available if you need and also allowing you to enjoy their slice of paradise. Citrus were in fruit and their red grapefruits and limes were delicious. We had a lovely time camping in a tent on site 5, surrounded by beautiful bush and close to the river. Very private and peaceful. There were a few sensitive weed prickles about, so shoes a must. We loved our swim in the river and seeing the cows. The owners were so lovely and very helpful with directions when we got lost in the dark finding the site! We can’t wait to stay again! We had the most incredible stay at FNQ Blooms! Nestled at the base of Queensland’s tallest mountain, this tropical flower farm is nothing short of magical. The property is a lush paradise, and camping beside the crystal-clear rainforest creek was an unforgettable experience. The campsite itself is relatively flat, spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty — perfect for families, groups of friends, or couples looking to unwind in nature and have the serenity to themselves (like us!). Falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and waking up to the sounds of the bush was pure bliss. Exploring the creek and private waterfall was a highlight for me. The water is so clear and refreshing, and the scenery feels untouched and pristine. It's rare to find a place that offers this level of tranquillity, beauty and privacy in one spot. FNQ Blooms is a true tropical haven, and the flower farm adds a unique and vibrant touch to the whole experience. Jodie is an exceptional host and gifted us her time to share with us the lifecycle of a vanilla bean which was incredibly interesting! We can’t wait to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in one of Queensland’s most beautiful corners.

Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other. Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef or enjoy a boat cruise to an island. The campsite features a large flat grassy area with great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water. Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west. Boonjie is a great place to base yourself to visit the amazing sights in the surrounding area! Our property has beautiful native visitors, including the occasional cassowary, and regular morning choir of ground dwelling chowachillas. This campsite suits self reliant and self contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and water supply. Lamins Hill lookout, and the entrances to Windin Falls, and the famous trek up Queensland’s Highest Mountain, are only minutes away. So too, are the Atherton Tablelands‘ crater lakes, Eacham & Barrine, and the small town of Malanda, with its iconic falls, both designated swimming destinations, though, highlights are the clear creeks between there and Boonjie (means mate). This is near “Top Camp”, where First Nations people would arrive after the gruelling walk up the Russel River, from the coast, where Innisfail now stands (Innisfail can be seen from the top road). With evidence of European and Chinese gold miners, from the 1900’s, this spot is both remote AND central, for a day trip to Millaa Millaa’s extraordinary Falls circuit, Herberton’s Historical Village and the flowered and funky Yungaburra.

Tolga Caravan Park is situated on the Kennedy Highway at the northern end of the Tolga Scrub, the last remnants of the endangered Mabi Rainforest in the region. The Scrub is home to an abundant variety of local wildlife, including the Spectacled Flying Fox – with the Scrub being their only permanent camp on the Tablelands. We have easy access, large, grassy, flat sites with some drive through sites available. We offer powered and un-powered sites. We also have onsite cabins – with more accommodation options coming soon. The Rail Trail can be accessed to the rear of the property offering guests a great walking or bike riding trail with direct access to Atherton and to the Tolga Hotel. A few places to explore are Lake Tinaroo, Paronella Park, Yungaburra platypus viewing, Crater Lakes, Herberton Historic Museum, Millaa Millaa Waterfalls, Curtain Fig Tree and Gallo Dairy Farm to name a few. A perfect base for all of your Tablelands exploring. Pets are welcome if you have your own van. The park is walking distance to coffee shops, takeaway, Tolga Hotel, newsagent, bakery, hair salon and The Humpy.
