A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. As an outdoor educator, I have worked and played in the valley and surrounds for more than 25 years and I'm still discovering new things to see and do! Advancetown Lake is a short drive away with paddling, sailing and fishing and no power boats or jetskis (Yeeha!!) There is a mountain bike park on the E side of the dam. You can walk from here to Springbrook and Lamington National Parks and the glow worms at Natural Bridge are a night time "must see".

A beautiful piece of remnant forest on the bank of the Nerang River, with a swimming hole that is second to none. The tree tent is situated in a small forest clearing overlooking the river rapids. The site has a compact outdoor kitchen complete with refrigerator, an outdoor hot shower, a firepit and a separate composting toilet. Sails are rigged above the tent to provide extra shade and shelter. It's private and shady but only a few minutes from the house. The valley is a gem, only 200 odd people live here. The entire property is fastidiously maintained . The tree huts were very comfortable and cool despite a few hot hours outside , affording an amazing view of the mighty Clarence . The camp kitchen was well stocked with pots pans and utensils, and the presence of a nice electric refrigerator was particularly welcome.

Our stay at Clarence River Wilderness Retreat was absolutely beautiful. The property is so remote and serene that you truly feel like the only people in the world. The river and surrounding nature are breathtaking — the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. Living simply for the weekend was so peaceful and grounding. We had everything we needed; the off-grid amenities were fantastic and thoughtfully set up. We spent our days playing cards, strumming guitar by the fire, watching an incredible storm roll in at night, and soaking up the sunshine the next day while canoeing and relaxing by the river. A special mention to Sharon, one of the owners, who was so friendly, welcoming, and proud of her beautiful property. Hearing her stories about her family and the land made the experience even more special. We felt completely safe, comfortable, and cared for during our stay. 2 nights at Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse

I had the most magical stay in the Treehouse! Such a beautiful area and a stunning backdrop - I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and enjoying a cuppa on the deck. There is a dam on the property for a refreshing dip and the best toilet/shower set-up. Honestly, couldn't recommend this stay enough and although there is access to shops close by, I would recommend bringing some food with you and letting yourself enjoy nature for a few days 🌿

Our stay at the treehouse was everything we needed for a peaceful reset. Nestled on a beautiful property near Springbrook National Park, we were surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature, pure tranquillity. The space felt private, serene, and perfect for a night by the fire, a homemade dinner, and a cosy board game inside. We had everything we needed. The fairy lights twinkling around the treehouse and the beautiful flower garden made it feel truly magical, like stepping into a little hidden haven. The owners were so lovely and welcoming, clearly pouring so much passion and care into both the treehouse and their property. They made us feel right at home and shared some great local recommendations, including a refreshing swim at Hart Bridge and a coffee and plant shop at a gorgeous nursery café down the road. Plus, we loved saying hello to all the friendly cows on the way there! It was the perfect nature escape, peaceful, thoughtful, and full of charm. We couldn’t recommend it more.

1 night at Caravan in the mountains

We had such an amazing time at Kathy's place. The location, the setup and the hosts are absolutely incredible. Very welcoming, warm and friendly hosts and the caravan setup is very comfortable. It had all basic amenities and much more - there's a dishwasher, fridge and drinking water. Beds were very comfortable and lots of extra beddings. The view is breathtaking. We had a nice fireplace setup when we arrived and Kathy came up to greet us and was very welcoming. We had such a great night chatting around the fire and star gazing. The space is high up on the hills and you get a full 360 mountain views. The farm animals were very friendly and we enjoyed feeding the rabbits - they were so cute and extremely friendly. Highly recommend staying at Kathy's place. We can't wait to return.

My girls and I absolutely loved camping at Kathy’s! The caravan was well set up and Kathy was very thorough in ensuring that we had all that we needed. Loved that caravan already had linen and bedding and all appliances were in good nick. Kathy was always responsive whenever we needed anything. The highlight of our stay was getting to pat and cuddle the bunnies. My daughters absolutely loved this and couldn’t get enough. They’re already trying to convince me to move into NSW so we can get a pet bunny! We definitely recommend this spot. Great for anyone just wanting a bit of peace and quiet with Kyogle only a short 15mins away if you need supplies. We’ll definitely be back.

Five wonderful nights spent tucked away at Eagles Rest in Findon Creek. Nestled in lush green hillside, this thoughtfully designed, purpose built home provided a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed everything from outdoor showers to refreshing dips in swimming holes and relaxing evenings around the fire pit under a star spangled sky. We stayed for two nights at the Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we’d stepped into our own little hideaway in the rainforest. The setting is so peaceful — surrounded by trees, bird calls and nothing but nature. The treehouse is cosy, well set up, and had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the Aneta was very friendly and super helpful. A really relaxing and unique getaway — we will definitely come back!

Privacy, peace, and a welcome escape from the concrete jungle. We had a relaxing two days in the caravan—Kathy is a wonderful host, and the animals are absolutely adorable. They love a cuddle, especially the baby bunnies. In the evenings, we enjoyed campfires, and during the day, we had lots of fun going for walks. There’s also a bike trail if you bring one along. Highly recommended!
