Framed by the rugged border range National Parks "Mindoo" is 1100 acres of rolling green hills dissected by the pure, cascading, waters of the Cataract River which provide a number of private riverside campsites. Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others.
For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done.
Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided.
Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart.
As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Please read the listing for the campsite you are wanting to book. Some of our sites do not suit caravans. All roads require high clearance vans.
If you do not like dogs or your own dogs are not very sociable Mindoo may not be the place for you. Daisy the Doodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle) and Paul the Pig Dog (a very gentle Bull Mastif/Catahoula) like to come and say hello to campers at The Park & The Junction.

Llandillo is a picturesque 700 acre property located 11 kms from Emmaville, and 55kms from Glen Innes in the northern New England region. It has 2kms of Severn river access along its southern boundary, which offers great fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. We run a small sheep farming enterprise on the northern more open half of the property, and the southern part running down to the river is natural bushland. Activities include fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking, fossicking, bird watching or getting to know some of our much adored farm animals.
We offer accommodation in our a two-bedroom cabin. Our homely cabin offers a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the trees. Our cabin includes one double bed, two single beds and two double lounges that turn into sofa beds. We have a friendly old Wallaroo who lives around the cabin. Many other wallaby’s and kangaroos can be seen from the windows. It is a great place to relax reading a good book, catch up on well deserved rest or use as a base for outdoor activities. The cabin also has a large firepit out the back where our guests are welcome to have a campfire or cook a meal over the coals. Firewood will be supplied.
There is a picnic area with a large open firepit and toilet just meters from the waters edge. Many unique animals have been seen at the river, including spotted Quolls, Platypus, fireflies, Deer, Goats, Kangaroos, wallabies and many species of birds. Guests are able to walk the entire 2km of river fishing or just enjoying the free flowing water. Nine times out of ten Murray Cod are caught along any part of the river on our fishing adventures. BYO fishing gear. Catch and release is appreciated however if guests would like to keep one to eat, they are welcome.

Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield.
Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm.
Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes.
When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay!
Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained.
When staying at “West View”, we supply Tea, Coffee, Muesli, Full Cream Milk, fresh Eggs from our Hens, Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil, Cast Iron cook ware and a portable sink for cleaning Utensils etc. Also supplied are Plates, Knives & Forks etc. Portable Gas Cooker also supplied if not using the Fire Pit.

Rocky River Play Station is a working bush property on the banks of the Timbarra River, about 20 km / 30 minutes south of Drake Village — an old gold-mining community tucked in the back of NSW Northern Rivers. This is a place for slowing down, sitting on grass, swimming in rivers, watching light change across the hills, and resting amongst the wildlife and our resident cows.
Your hosts live further back on the property. We’re close enough to help if needed, but far enough away that you’ll feel properly off-grid.
There is no mobile reception, which is part of the magic.
This is a leave-no-trace property:

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful, welcoming, and truly like a home away from home. The property itself was stunning, with the most beautiful views that made every morning and evening feel so special.
The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond with thoughtful little gestures that made our stay even more memorable and comfortable. You can genuinely feel the care and love that has gone into creating such a beautiful space.
It was exactly what my puppy and I needed relaxing, refreshing, and unforgettable. We left feeling so grateful and already cannot wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with amazing hospitality.

We had such a wonderful stay in your cottage , it was truly a special experience for our family.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with all the essentials we needed, including milk, butter, coffee, sugar and other little touches that made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.
We especially loved meeting all the friendly animals around the farm, and the farm cats were absolutely adorable. They brought so much joy to our stay.
One of our favourite memories was sitting around the campfire at night under the beautiful sky full of stars. It felt peaceful, relaxing, and like a true country escape. It was such a lovely opportunity to slow down and enjoy nature.
Thank you so much for creating such a warm and welcoming place. You can really feel the care and effort you’ve put into the property. We’re very grateful for this experience and made some beautiful family memories here. We would absolutely love to come back again in the future.

Eden Vale shearer’s shed is an amazing place.
Yes the internet is patchy and there is no tv, but they have cows! What more could you want?!
John and Victoria are very accommodating, stocking us with plenty of firewood to help cope with the morning frost.
There is so much to explore or board games to play. Or bring a book and enjoy this quirky but peaceful accomodation.
We will be back with the kids, just don’t tell them there is no wifi 🤣

My son and I spent 3 nights in the woolshed this week. Mild conditions made it very pleasant. Outside conditions were very dry so not much wildlife about but many varieties of beautiful parrots were present. Take your binoculars and bird reference books. We ate well and slept well. Thanks Victoria and John.

It’s like camping but not! Had a nice relaxing time, nice walks around the farm. Double bed was very loud and creaky every time you moved and they have tarps covering all mattresses but as I said, camping but not so we do recommend this space if you’d like the country experience but with a roof. What a magical place to visit. We feel so honoured that we could stay at this beautiful property and the shearing shed. The shearing shed has everything you need - hot shower, toilet and the views are spectacular!! We brought our Kelpie who loved going on long walks with me. Vicky and John were very helpful and kind as well. I felt so relaxed sitting by the outdoor fire at night.

Fabulous time! Camping on an olive grove is something else! It was very hot in the arvo but cooled down when the sun went down and overnight! The glamping set up was perfect and the electric fridge was a perfect touch! Highly recommend getting the olive platter! We stayed in the Grove and it was more of a bush camp! Woke up in the morning to all the wildlife 😍

Absolutely loved our brief stay at Vicky and John’s farm. The shed is perfect for families with plenty of space, equipment and outdoor ambience. Clever design and simple furniture makes this converted shearing shed a 10/10 stay for us. Thank you for having us xx

This place is definitely worth a visit, if you enjoy a rural escape including the camping experience without having to be in a tent, camper or caravan.
If you enjoy nature and the beauty of nature.
You get everything with the comforts of home living. It is quite and peaceful, the hosts are very helpful and accommodating.

Weekend Trip to BAJIMBA Eco Camping and Farm Stay
We had such a wonderful stay at Bajimba Eco Farm. From the moment we arrived, the location and views were absolutely beautiful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind and switch off from everything. Waking up to the surroundings each morning was a highlight of the trip. 🌿🌄
The glamping tent itself was incredibly well prepared and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt cozy but still connected to nature, which made the whole experience really special.
A big thank you to the host, Merv, who was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and shared helpful information about the property and the area. It really made the experience even better.
We’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. We’re already hoping to come back! ✨🏕️
