Welcome to Glenmore, a family owned 3500acre property in the beautiful Inverell region. We offer 2 well maintained campsites and a newly renovated house (The Old School House) for farm stay holiday rental. The perfect location to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. All sites are easily accessible by 4WD and suitable for tents, caravans or motorhomes. Both campsites and The Old School House have fire pits with complimentary wood for the first night stay. If the weather is windy we have custom made fire pits which can be installed. Additional wood bundles available for purchase upon request. Our beautiful property offers scenic bush and open grassland walking tracks to features like our waterfall and cliff top where you can enjoy expansive views of the property. Sundowner’s Hill, easily accessed from the Saw Mill campsite, is a rocky outcrop perfect for an afternoon vino whilst enjoying a spectacular sunset. We are pet friendly however we do have livestock on the property, therefore dogs etc must be well controlled at all times. Excellent fishing opportunities for Murray Cod available on dams near campsites however please catch and release. We will let you know designated fishing areas on your arrival. Bring your own kayak or canoe (life jackets) for a paddle on the main dam. All campers need to be fully self-sufficient regarding toilet and shower and take all waste away with them on departure. We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Llandillo is a picturesque 700 acre property located 11 kms from Emmaville, and 55kms from Glen Innes in the northern New England region. It has 2kms of Severn river access along its southern boundary, which offers great fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. We run a small sheep farming enterprise on the northern more open half of the property, and the southern part running down to the river is natural bushland. Activities include fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking, fossicking, bird watching or getting to know some of our much adored farm animals. We offer accommodation in our a two-bedroom cabin. Our homely cabin offers a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the trees. Our cabin includes one double bed, two single beds and two double lounges that turn into sofa beds. We have a friendly old Wallaroo who lives around the cabin. Many other wallaby’s and kangaroos can be seen from the windows. It is a great place to relax reading a good book, catch up on well deserved rest or use as a base for outdoor activities. The cabin also has a large firepit out the back where our guests are welcome to have a campfire or cook a meal over the coals. Firewood will be supplied. There is a picnic area with a large open firepit and toilet just meters from the waters edge. Many unique animals have been seen at the river, including spotted Quolls, Platypus, fireflies, Deer, Goats, Kangaroos, wallabies and many species of birds. Guests are able to walk the entire 2km of river fishing or just enjoying the free flowing water. Nine times out of ten Murray Cod are caught along any part of the river on our fishing adventures. BYO fishing gear. Catch and release is appreciated however if guests would like to keep one to eat, they are welcome. Thankyou for reading, we would love to see you at Llandillo soon.

Kingfisher's Hut River Retreat

Kingfisher's Hut River Retreat

100%

66km from Stonewoman Aboriginal Area · 1 site
Welcome to our river retreat. Ideal for those seeking privacy, peace and solitude away from the socials and technology. Kingfisher's Hut sits on 80 acres of our 240 acre property, on a high bank overlooking the Macdonald River as it makes it way towards the confluence with the Namoi River. Ideally suited for a couple (children and fur babies also welcome) or small groups, and those who are new to a nature escape holiday. A small solar system provides lighting (but not recharging of devices). Our insulated cabin provides a comfortable double bed (bring your own linen and pillows) and pot belly stove for the colder months. Our bush kitchen provides your basic needs with a BBQ, 12 volt fridge, and fully equipped camp kitchen. Our open fire is set up for cooking or for just sitting, relaxing and staring into the flames. Our bush bathroom provides a toilet and wood fired hot shower. Or you might chose to relax in a hot bath overlooking the river. We welcome nature lovers and offer activities such as bush walking, bird watching, native wildlife, swimming, picnicking, kayaking (double kayak provided), catch and release fishing (seasonal and with current Fishing Licence), and big open night skies for astronomy enthusiasts. We are a small farming enterprise and currently establishing aquaculture (yabby) ponds and can offer an introductory tour to those who are interested. The hut sleeps two (double bed) but there is plenty of room for those who wish to bring a camper trailer or van or pitch a tent. As a working property, you may need to navigate around the odd cow pat! We have recently installed an old roof top ten on legs which can sleep two (double bed size). We do ask that you carefully read our rules (see link) to avoid any conflict with neighbouring properties or our attempts at retaining a relatively undisturbed, healthy river environment and not negatively impact our surrounding community. We will always have a meet and greet with our guests at some point during your stay, but promise we won't intrude upon your privacy.
