Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Calen is a small cane growing and cattle town with a general store, pharmacy, service station, butcher and the local pub. Zarby's cafe is a short drive away if you would like to dine in for breakfast or lunch in a retro style setting. Each site fee is for 2 adults and kids stay at no cost. Pets are welcome.

Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available. We are a nature based camping area. Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace. Access to the camping area is for 4WD only with caravans off road and high clearance. Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect any fallen timber yourself. There is a ban on cutting down any standing timber even it is dead. There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers. Ben Lomond station has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.

After 6 months touring Queensland in 2021 with our own caravan, we decided to develop a picturesque area at the back of our land for mature travellers to enjoy. 20 Years ago the land was virgin scrub, now there are over 300 established different exotic fruit, nut, spice and bush tucker trees and plants. We use a number of different farming techniques. Our own beehives provide pollination and honey. A small farm produce shop is available. Guests have access to a toilet, solar powered showers and the camp kitchen throughout their stay. Campfires are permitted outside of restrictions and we have firewood available for guests to use on site. There is a 1.5 km undulating bush walk on the property requiring average fitness. We are located four kilometres from the Bruce Highway at Bloomsbury, access is via sealed road then 300m of gravel road through the farm. We are just 10 mins from the beach or O'Connell river fishing, 1 hour to Mackay or Airlie Beach, 3 kms to the Dittman Bullarama site and 15 minutes to Bredls Wild Farm. Well behaved pets are welcome. Access to camping area is via a creek crossing then through the pines. A 4WD vehicle is required to cross the creek. Creek Hoppers Nook 4WD Private campsite tucked in at the end of the line where two gorgeous creeks meet. Shallow rock pools perfect for a creek hop and cooling off. Perfect spot for a quiet private camp stay. Amongst the pines 4WD A large grassy stretch of creek amongst the pine trees. If the time is right, you may be lucky enough to be amongst a flurry of fire-flies. There is access to the creek and plenty of shade amongst the pines. This is a large site and is suitable for larger groups. Fires are permitted in the open but not under the pine tree canopy. Rock Pool Bends Choose a spot to setup along the large creek frontage with multiple wading rock pools. This site has a fire-pit and creek water tap for ease of washing. A drop toilet is shared with the hosts. There are other 2WD spots available **We also will have available frozen organic woodfired sourdough that we bake in Eton, bags of fire wood and seasonal fruit and vegetables. If interested in any of these let us know when you check in. PETS: We are pet lovers and know a family getaway is not the same without the fur babies. This location is not only our home, it’s also the home of our dogs, chickens and countless native animals. If your dog likes to injure or kill any animals, then DO NOT bring them. Leave any 'intact' male dogs at home as we have one and we also have an 'intact' female dog. ONLY BRING SOCIAL AND FRIENDLY DOGS. Ben Lomond Station is an 1800 acre working cattle station 25 minutes south of Bowen and 35 minutes north of Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays. We border onto Eden Lassie Creek which has tidal ocean access for saltwater fishing and there is an abundance of estuary fishing and crab spots available. We are a nature based camping area. Cleared shady camping spots are available for fully self contained campers as there are currently no facilities available so you must have own camping toilet and leave no trace. Access to the camping area is for 4WD only with caravans off road and high clearance. Firewood is available for a small fee or you can collect any fallen timber yourself. There is a ban on cutting down any standing timber even it is dead. There is plenty of room to run for the kids and dogs though we do ask that your pet not annoy our cattle or other campers. Ben Lomond station has an abundance of flora and fauna such as burdekin plum trees, mango trees, wallabies, kangaroos and bird and fish species.

Nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park, in behind Calen (Camerons Pocket), this great campsite offers you the opportunity to go swimming, fishing in the fresh water, put a tube in the creek and relax by a campfire. Oh, and there's berries!​ You will be camping right beside St Helen Creek, just a throwing distance from the Strawberry Farm which is open during the winter months (July- September). There is access to toilets and showers, but you will need to bring your own drinking water. You are welcome to have a small campfire in one of our dedicated firepits, and enjoy the starry skies at night. This campsite offers the perfect experience for the whole family. For an additional fee, you can pick strawberries from July- September. Blueberry picking is from October to January. There is lots of wildlife around from kookaburras to kangaroos. Plenty of places to swim if you wanted it to be more private. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate tents through to caravans, campervans and larger camping vehicles. No pets please.

We are a working farm located in Habana. 110 acres of farm land beside the beautiful Leila Creek Habana. We have a range of farm animals here on the property. We’re a small acreage property with a lovely grassed area surrounded by big shady trees 🌳. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet facilities. The campsite sits on a gentle slope, so a little leveling may be required. The house is within view, but you won’t have to camp facing us. We’re just 15 minutes from Airlie Beach, 10 minutes from Proserpine, 10 minutes from beautiful Conway Beach, and 5 minutes from Cedar Creek Falls. At the moment, we’re upgrading the driveway entry, so please be aware. We’re super pet-friendly and have two of our own friendly pets who love meeting new visitors!

A great place to rest overnight or a type of base camp for those wanting to explore the Mackay and Whitsundays. Several areas available for travellers to park, which are quite secluded from one another. This 160 acre former sugarcane farm is undergoing land regeneration and repairs of the creek edges. Encouraging areas that lend themselves to water soaks. Guests are welcome to leave your camper/caravan/tent here while you explore the region, and it will be quite safe. You cannot explore or adventure on my property. People travelling with horses are welcome, the host runs a small agistment business and has some holding paddocks and watering facilities. The entry has some restrictions for longer vehicles, so please discuss this the host before booking. No toilets available, travellers must be fully self-contained and take all waste with them. Most pets are welcomed after discussions. Price is for up to 4 guests! Only 1 vehicle permitted per site, however open to discussion.

Good spot to camp. Nice and quiet. Area nicely grassed and mowed,fairly level . Unfortunately no campfire. Total fire ban. Didn't miss it. Creek was running enough to go sit in. Had rain second night. Definately will be going into our favourite's list to return. Saw an echidna, wallabies, galahs, kookaburras. Plenty of area for kids to run around in. Just a word advice though: if you don't know how to drive on soft river sand, don't venture there.

Well set up, friendly and responsive hosts. We loved that you could choose your own spot and there weren't designated spots which can get cramped when busy. Some permanents living there but away from the camping area. We were lucky to be the only ones there. Small creek to cross on entrance so be mindful before booking if theres been heavy rain. Definitely recommend, thanks for having us!

We loved the whole set out very spacious and the creek was refreshing. It was great they provided kayaks and bikes. Nice and peaceful and close to the town if you wanted to duck in for a pub meal. Hosts also checked to make sure we were happy while there.
