There are great areas to hike, explore, and birdwatch. There is no light pollution so you see the amazing display of stars at night.

If no piggers, the whole 2500 acres is yours to explore.
If it rains, or you arrive too late to set up, we have a spare bed room with a double bunk sleeps 2 adjoining the shed near house $30.
per night to use.
You can also sleep in the shearing shed. And look at the equipent and fill a bag of manure for your garden.
We have a few freindly sheep. And you can toss your food scraps to our chooks.

We stayed at a secluded spot by the river - very peaceful and is the perfect place to relax. Lovely view with calm waters perfect for fishing and kayaking. Lionel was a very lovely host. We didn't meet him at the entrance but he made sure to check up on us on our first day after a storm. Will surely be back for a quiet getaway!

We stayed at this beautiful property for the night on our trip from QLD to NSW, the river swim was perfect for us and our dogs on the hot day we had. We watched the wild life come and drink from the river over sunset which was really lovely. Lionel is very friendly and looked after us on arrival. Would highly recommend.

What a beautiful area with stunning views. The hosts are very accommodating and keep the area really clean and tidy. Plenty of wildlife around and hills to explore. The area we camped was so nice and secluded it felt like we were on our own private property. Incredible place and experience cannot wait to get back to Valley Heights!

Loved that we were the only ones here. What a beautiful well maintained area. We enjoyed choosing one of a number of fire pits to set up our camp ovens. There was a port a loo available for use (which we did not use). We “wallowed” in the little rapids of the McIntyre Brooke to cool down and enjoyed watching the stars and satellites during the evening. What a perfect getaway. We laughed at the way the goats “frolicked “ on the rocks across the creek and enjoyed watching the Roos jumping past. Overall, wow , what a great place. ❣️

It's a magnificent location, right on the riverbank. The camping area was extremely well presented. Lionel was very easy to deal with, he met us at the gate and showed us to our camping area. Fire pits were provided. Easy access to the river with our kayaks for a relaxing paddle. During our stay we observed kangaroos and goats drinking on the other side of the river. The bird life is amazing, from sulphur crested cockatoos, kingfishers, parrots and a hawk's nest right near our site where we watched the mother feeding her babies. We had an amazing holiday, Lionel is the perfect host of his little piece of paradise.

Really enjoyed our 3 day stay. Vast space, pretty scenary and solitude. Whist being isolated, the camp sites are well maintained with lots of options. Just be aware its a 17km drive in on a dirt road which is in reasonable condition. Also zero connectivity (which was a great thing!!) if this presents an issue for others.

Beautiful place to stay, love the free roaming goats, wallabies, cows, sheep and emus.
The river is full of tabbies and little shrimp and fish and lots of safe areas to let your kids go fishing. Water is deep enough to swim in, we even managed to get our kayaks in the water tho got stuck on rock in a few places.

We absolutely loved our time at Yarran! The most beautiful countryside with the kindest host. Option for showers and loo. We had a beautiful camp fire and watched a storm roll in alongside the kangaroos, emus and sheep. It was quiet and with such a big property it was also private. We can’t wait to come back here!

Great space. Lovely views and you get mobs of roos pass by, a quick visit from the horses in the morning,and plenty of stars and wildlife in the evening/night. Our 2 dogs loved the swim in the dam. Not far from the small town with all you need. Very private. We were only campers on site for 2 nights 😁. Firepits supplied and an interesting drop toilet. Land was flat enough for our caravan. Choose carefully when you come as there a lot of bindies, unfortunate for our dogs but we know now. Definitely would book here again, loved it.

A beautiful spot with considerate and thoughtful hosts. The Vet Shed is well provisioned with lots of handy things you’d normally have at home. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Robyn was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely come back with the family and friends.

What an amazing spot to camp! We were very fortunate to be here when the creek was in good flow and it was lovely and green around. I would 100% camp here again in a heartbeat! We saw so much wildlife and logged at least 20 bird species just watching from the camp. Super easy to get in and out, lovely short walks along the creek and up the hill. Heaps of timber around that’s easy to get to for campfires. So peaceful and private and it sure helped to have the separate loo handy too.

This was our second wonderful visit to Glenelg Station. The 2 Mile camp site is very peaceful and secluded. The wel-maintained camping area is huge with several possible tent/caravan sites. Some are shady and all have great views and direct access to the brook. Amanda is a responsive, friendly host and she shares lots of interesting info about the property. So rare to find a beautiful camping area where you can feel totally alone (apart from the cows, sheep, goats, wallabies, kangaroos, birds and frogs that is). It is a great spot to de-stress sitting around a campfire, watching the sunset and listening to the sounds of the bush. We checked out the cottages as well while we were there. They are all well appointed in rustic style complete with claw-foot bath on the verandahs. All are beautifully positioned with views over the brook. Thank you so much Amanda for another relaxing short break. Our dog enjoyed the get away just as much as we did!
