Enjoy a convenient and relaxing base to discover the best of Hervey Bay at our 150-acre cattle grazing farm located just 3km outside of town, with plenty of space for campers. To access the farm, turn right off the Maryborough Highway into Chapel Rd, then turn right at the picnic table beside the bikeway, and do not drive over the cattle grid. We offer numerous camping sites on cleared land lined by trees, near to our gully and seasonal creek. Each site is private and offers plenty of space. Campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, but there is a 24/7 dump station just 2km away. A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore. Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too! Virtue Farm is a 33 acre property overlooking K'Gari (Fraser Island). It includes 27 acres of remnant forest which will never be developed. Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

Buxton Bush Retreat is a privately owned parcel of 17 acres located 7 kilometers (6 minute drive) from the quaint seaside village of Buxton. The front 5 acres is 'home' to Kerrie and Brian, their two puppies (Jazz and Jaxi) and two cats (Bangers and Mash). The remainder of the property (about 12 acres) comprises of flat, well grassed areas and natural bushland. There are eight(8) well maintained, large, flat camping areas and each has its own fire pit. An initial supply of firewood will be provided. There is no water or power throughout these camping areas, hence they are only suitable for "fully self contained" motor homes and caravans. Apart from humans, dogs and cats, the property is inhabited by kangaroos and a variety of birdlife. The small township of Buxton is home to a mixture of permanent residents and holiday homes. There is one general store which sells most consumables, including alcohol. They also serve up meals every Wednesday. Buxton has a great little boat ramp on the Isis River which provides easy access for river fishing or to the Coral Sea for ocean fishing. So, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable QUIET and relaxing campsite with not too many people around then Buxton Bush Retreat many be just the place for you. No 'midges' or sand flies or dirt/sand camping sites .... all sites are flat and fully grassed and maintained.

We adjoin the Mary2Bay Rail Trail We offer Toilets and hot Showers, RV Dump Point, Lagoon, Playground, Camp Kitchen. Campfires, Pets and BIG Rigs welcome. Located at 159 Old Walligan Rd, Walligan Qld 4655. Camp kitchen has a fridge, microwave and gas BBQ and 240v available to charge devices. Drinking water available from water tanks. The campground is suitable for big rigs, caravans, motorhomes, tents and swags. We neighbor the Mary2 Bay Rail Trail, which starts at the Urangan Pier and goes to Maryborough. Next door to us is the Vernon Conservation Park with 1,600 acres to explore by walking, cycling or horse riding, so bring your ebikes and ride all the way into town if you are keen. Dogs allowed but must remain on a leash. Campfires allowed, except during total fire bans. (Please note campground is only open from 1 April to 31 August each year).

The whale watching season in Hervey Bay runs from July - November. Hervey Bay is a short 8 minute drive to some of the most beautiful and safe swimming beaches in Australia. There is several shopping areas including large shopping centres where you can pick up supplies etc. Wander around the weekly markets and enjoy the holiday vibe Hervey Bay brings you. Not forgetting our beautiful K'Gari/Fraser Island. When exploring the area it is a must see and do. There are daily tours to K'gari that leave from River Heads which is less than a 20 minute drive from here. Maryborough is only a 25 minute drive from here and boasts some of the most beautiful heritage buildings and museums. They hold their street markets every Thursday. After all that exploring you can then come back and enjoy the serenity and reflect on the wonderful day you have had. Enjoy the adventure.

The Paddock Stay is the perfect spot to pull over for the evening or spend a few days, while heading north or south along the Bruce Highway. Conveniently located next to the Highway, with easy access for campers. The quick and easy access to a major highway comes with a little downside, the potential of noise. Your friendly host, Lawrie will meet you on arrival and direct you to the open grass area that is ready for campers. Guests will have access to clean bathroom facilities with toilet and shower access. We also have fire pits available for all of our guests to ensure a comfortable and cosy stay. Please take all rubbish with you on departure. We are located just 5 minutes out of Maryborough and 30 minutes from Hervey Bay. Pets are welcome!

Me and my mate loved staying over at the campsite even though if was only a long weekend. Too short in my opinion hahah. The campsite is well-kept and cleaned, no issues with rocks or twigs getting in the way at the main site. Came with a nice barrel campfire with heaps of fire-wood stashed near the tree. We never used it but aside they have a great little under-cover set-up with a barbecue, working fridge, a couple power-ports for anything you may need, and the amenities block is great. This campsite is great for couple day trips, to even longer stays with having the essentials you'll need. Small families and groups would go perfectly here. Love the star guest that peeps around every so often looking for some attention, Mouse is such a beautiful dog, and very soft/friendly when she pops around. The couple living at the farm are great to talk with, we enjoyed our stay a lot and do plan on making another in the future.

We had a lovely stop over at the Hidden Creek Camping ground. Had the place to ourselves. Our site was nice and flat situated under the gum trees. They are in the process of making a lagoon, which will make it even better to be able to cool off in the summer.

Great location and only a short drive to the beach. The camp itself is pretty simple but it’s what we expected when we booked. I would say to avoid this site if you have a low clearance 2WD as we struggled a little bit to get out with our campervan. Overall we would stay again purely for the location 😊
