There is plenty of space in the surrounding forests for mountain biking, motor-biking and walking. 3km down the road in Boonooroo you will find a large park with tennis court and public BBQ's. The bowls club and Golf Club just 3km away and serve meals on weekends. This site is suitable for caravans, RV's, camper trailers. There is NO toilet facility on the property. We are VERY dog friendly and can be off lead as long as the dogs are friendly towards people and other dogs and don't bite our horses. We also have other peoples horses agisting in paddocks. Activities you can do include boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking, stand up paddle boarding, bird watching, kangaroo spotting, playing in the parks, beach tennis, mountain biking, hiking etc. Camp sites are far from the main house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play music, use generators without worry. It was a beautiful and peaceful spot for a calming rest. Definitely would recommend. But also strongly suggest you take lots of repellent!! The midgies were pretty full on in the evenings and early morning until the breeze blew them all away!

1 night at NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park

There are basically no reviews for the motorhome sites that I could see on here so I was skeptical, but this was the best motorhome site we have been to so far on the east coast. Really friendly people, REALLY clean amenities and way less bugs than everywhere else we’ve been. It’s about 5 steps out of the campsite to the beach which is really quiet and beautiful. They have wifi too which works pretty well. Would reccomend!

Music was great and host is friendly and helpful. Booking an exact campsite would have been more ideal - as we were the last of our group to arrive and there was no clear area left for caravan. Ended parking along roadway in front of other two vans- worked well but not ideal. Thank you for a good weekend.

Fantastic camp. Showers and toilets were nice and clean. Nice big open grassy area, even with quote a few other campers, we weren't on top of each other. Awesome hosts. No fish but got a few muddies. Will definitely be back here again.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Burrum Heads

We loved our kid free weekend at riverside! The drive in was a bit of fun, grounds were very well maintained and the river was fantastic. Toilets always clean and the showers were great temp. Dog also had a blast. All campers were considerate of others. We did get stuck on the way out and Dan was more than happy to help however we managed to dig ourselves out eventually and didn’t need the tractor. Will definitely be back for a weekend of fishing with the kids.

Weekend Trip to Buxton Bush Camp

Great space for camping. Lotsof good flat grassed for our setup. Even though there were lots of people we didn't feel on top of each other or other campers. Facilities are great. Nice hot showers and camp kitchen. The band were fabulous on the Saturday night. Bushie was available for any questions. Great place to stay for the long weekend.

Lovely campground next to the beach! Toilets and showers were clean and kept well. Loved the dish rack and ammenities! A little crowded but it was school holidays so that’s to be expected. Would recommend.
