Our farm is very quite with 7 locations some are very large and some are very small and 1 location has only 1 site, Hidden Valley 1. We have 5 dams and 2 that are great to swim in with kayaking in both and a large pontoon on our main dam, there are free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of birds and animal wild life to enjoy .
We have 1 powered location on Dingo Ridge hill top
We have 4 different camping locations along the creek, Platypus Bend, Possum Patch, Froggy Flat and Wallaby Way.
We have 3 toilets and a Hot shower , our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water.
Camp fires. **Weather permitting** NO BYO, But we do supply.
$25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches)

There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets, Rock pools and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a glass of wine or beer or two.

Dam Crazy is also pet friendly, dogs must be cleaned up after and may be walked off leash on the walking trails (please be mindful of other campers, farm animals and wildlife), they may also swim in the dam but must be contained or kept on leash in the campsite areas.
The dam is very deep and could have snags washed down in floods, so we suggest children wear life jackets, and MUST be supervised by adults at all times around the water.

Great place to stop, and rest before Fraser Island, we are dog friendly, but must be kept on leash at all times.

Buxton Bush Retreat is a privately owned parcel of 17 acres located 7 kilometers (6 minute drive) from the quaint seaside village of Buxton.
The front 5 acres is 'home' to Kerrie and Brian, their two puppies (Jazz and Jaxi) and two cats (Bangers and Mash).
The remainder of the property (about 12 acres) comprises of flat, well grassed areas and natural bushland.
There are eight(8) well maintained, large, flat camping areas and each has its own fire pit. An initial supply of firewood will be provided.
There is no water or power throughout these camping areas, hence they are only suitable for "fully self contained" motor homes and caravans.

The small township of Buxton is home to a mixture of permanent residents and holiday homes. There is one general store which sells most consumables, including alcohol. They also serve up meals every Wednesday. Buxton has a great little boat ramp on the Isis River which provides easy access for river fishing or to the Coral Sea for ocean fishing.

Buxton Bush Retreat is a privately owned parcel of 17 acres located 7 kilometers (6 minute drive) from the quaint seaside village of Buxton.
The front 5 acres is 'home' to Kerrie and Brian, their two puppies (Jazz and Jaxi) and two cats (Bangers and Mash).
The remainder of the property (about 12 acres) comprises of flat, well grassed areas and natural bushland.
There are eight(8) well maintained, large, flat camping areas and each has its own fire pit. An initial supply of firewood will be provided.
There is no water or power throughout these camping areas, hence they are only suitable for "fully self contained" motor homes and caravans.
Apart from humans, dogs and cats, the property is inhabited by kangaroos and a variety of birdlife.
The small township of Buxton is home to a mixture of permanent residents and holiday homes. There is one general store which sells most consumables, including alcohol. They also serve up meals every Wednesday. Buxton has a great little boat ramp on the Isis River which provides easy access for river fishing or to the Coral Sea for ocean fishing.
So, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable QUIET and relaxing campsite with not too many people around then Buxton Bush Retreat many be just the place for you. No 'midges' or sand flies or dirt/sand camping sites .... all sites are flat and fully grassed and maintained.

If you want a nice cool breeze and a magic view Dingo Ridge is it! There are other lovely camp sites along the fresh water creek and we even spied a platypus.
Warren and his father are wonderful hosts and couldn’t make us feel more welcome, we really look forward to coming back in the near future and thanks again for a great stay!

What a gorgeous place to camp! The facilities are well maintained, there’s plenty of space for the kids to run around and we loved being able to choose any spot on the property. We had such a wonderful stay at Timbermill! Such a beautiful working Timbermill but still with modern, well-kept facilities and plenty of space to relax. The grounds are spacious, peaceful, and incredibly quiet — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.
Our kids absolutely loved being able to run around freely and safely, which made the experience even more special for our whole family. Everything felt thoughtfully set up and welcoming, and we truly appreciated the calm, friendly atmosphere.
We would highly recommend Timbermill, especially for groups and events, the Shed and facilities are perfect!

We really enjoyed our get a way at Timbermill. This rural off grid property has plenty of room to find your own little space away from other campers or closer to the amazing ammenities if that's what you prefer.
There is a nice creek and small town within a short drive from the property.
If you love all the charm the Australian bush has to offer and looking for an escape from the business of more populated places I would definitely recommend this one.
Also plenty of chopped firewood is available for your convenience.
Will definitely be back.

Highly recommend staying here, is a beautiful place to stay. Loved that there's goats, cows , chickens and ducks roaming and the Fairy track and garden is an awesome idea. Was easy access just have off highway. We have a big 19mtr bus and had plenty room to park it with water access. I even got to see and catch my first ever firefly. Hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Thankyou Susan, Vincent and Eli for making our stay a wonderful one.

There are so many places to select from on the property to set up. The property was beautifully maintained. It is still a fairly new set up. I had a lovely long conversation with the owners about what’s to come and it sounds like it will have everything families will want in the near future.
The main dam was a beautiful and refreshing place to cool off and the deep bend in the river was an excellent spot near our campsite.

Beautiful camping area. Perfect for families, couples, singles, dog owners……anyone. There are plenty of places to camp. The sites are big and flat. There is good variety on places to choose from. The dam is perfect to swim and kayak in. Warren and Frank are amazing hosts. There is a shower with hot water. There are a couple of toilets. These are clean and basic portable amenities. I will definitely be back again and again. It’s a piece of paradise.

Perfect long weekend camp! Heaps of space and privacy along the creek sites. Swimming in the big dam is excellent - great temp, fresh and clean. Easy access into the dam with a boardwalk and pontoon. We had such a lovely night at Woodlands Farmstay - large bush sites with firepits, feels very peaceful and secluded despite being so easily accessible from the highway and so close to town. Beautiful view of the stars at night too!
Susan and Vinnie are fabulous hosts, really friendly and helpful, and having a chance to interact with the gorgeous farm animals was a highlight for us!
