Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore. The site is flat and mowed, with easy access from the road for caravans. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) ** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority. The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. ** Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club. Guests will be able to see them fly around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club. During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globemasters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply. A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use. Fire pit and picnic table for use. Firewood able to be purchased as an extra. Please leave no trace and take all rubbish with you. An information email will be sent a few days prior to your arrival containing all your checkin and checkout information. Perfect for a place to hideaway and relax for a staycation (40 minutes from Brisbane) or a base to explore the surroundings. Helidon Spa Eco Village is built on a beautiful natural spring, rich with wildlife and native plants. This friendly local camping and caravan park is set on a sprawling 20 acres and located on the edge of the natural spring located conveniently off the Warrego Highway. Caravans and Motorhomes can stay in one of three spots overlooking the natural spring giving the area it's name, Helidon Spa. Power is available at each of the fixed sites. Important to Note:- *There is no dump point on-site. *Pets only welcome for casual/short-term stays. The area, once a bustling tourist attraction has since been converted into a small sustainable village that several locals call home. Picnic tables and amenities are less than 200m away from all sites. All grey water is recycled and treated on site and all fresh water is drawn from the natural spring. Street lights are solar powered and as you read this the on site electricity is being converted to solar.

However access is fairly easy and this is only a recommendation. Coobindah is just under 2 hours from Brisbane and is located on the Great Dividing Range. It boasts crisp mountain air and glorious views from the hills. Nearby attractions: Lake Cooby (Cooby Dam) is just 3 mins down the road; fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bush walking, picnic area and playground. The renowned Meringandan Pub 5 mins. The site is very well maintained, very tranquil with the tree, wildlife and sound of running water through the place. Was good to do a little explore/walk of the creek and just relax under the stars. Shayne was very helpful with directions for us to get there and super accomodating. Not too long a drive out but felt like we were way out in the bush, no service and switched off for the stay. Was a lovely location with plenty of natural shade to utilise too. Will be back for sure :)

We loved the peace and tranquility as it was pretty quiet. The views were amazing. I would speak to Ben prior to booking to get the right spot if you would like a powered site due to the differences. For example we stayed on a large concrete slab due to having a 25 ft motorhome. Luckily it wasn’t windy so we didn’t have to tie down awning. If it was windy it would been hard to move it off the slab nearer grass due to electrical hook up.

Highly recommend this wonderful place to relax and unwind. Shayne was very friendly and helpful and recommended a site to set up. It was great to hear all about the farm and his friendly animals. We chose a site overlooking the creek with easy access for the dogs and ourselves to enjoy the water as the weather was very hot. Loved that the camping area is limited to 10 sites and we were lucky the be sharing with only one other couple. There was a little bit of street noise during the day but this did not distract from the sound of the running creek and abundant bird calls. Thank you for sharing Bindarah Fark with us. We will definitely be back soon.

We stayed at Lake View, nice and quiet and a lovely view. Heaps of wildlife, wallabies, goanna, King parrots, finches, tree frogs and the list goes on. The host is very nice and friendly. Amenities are clean with hot showers. The kids had a ball boating, fishing and swimming. We will be back.

Great experience at Edgewater. There's a shop that has most things you'd need and great camping spots with fire pits in each one. The damn is nice; not the best for swimming but good for above water activities.

Absolutely love this place - clean, tidy and the running water is magical. Plenty for families to explore, horses and cows always making afternoon appearances. The hosts are friendly and kind, even went to the trouble of making the access even smoother for my SUV. We love this place and will be back :) thank you for sharing such an amazing piece of paradise with us.
