2 nights at Mountview Farmstay

Mountainview farmstay was there perfect retreat for a couple of nights for us to get away from city life. Katrina’s property is beautiful and she keeps the facilities immaculate. Plenty to do while staying here too. A pool table, tv, camp kitchen plus chooks and cattle to watch. Sunsets are special. So relaxing and Katrina is a wonderful host. The eggs and honey available for purchase were delicious and firewood to purchase too for those cold winter nights or for cooking over the fire. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully

If you want tranquillity in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by wildlife, then this is the place for you. The cabin is a combination of rustic charm and modern comforts. Awesome firepit area which is great for the cooler nights. The host Cara has thought of every little thing you will need. Decor is great - full of lots of little treasures and repurposed items. Plenty of music, books, and games to keep you entertained (there's also tv, wifi, etc if that's your thing). Hubby is 6'4" and had no problem with the loft bed.

Fantastic spot, dog friendly on leashes! The guy there is super friendly. Good spots by the lake and the sunrise is gorgeous! Not to mention the stars are so bright. Really good spot.

Loved our overnight stay at Emmaton. So convenient, easy to find and also very easy to park the van (drive in drive out). Lovely clear night sky and so handy to have a toilet, shower and kitchenette for use. Close to shops and highway but minimal noise. Would recommend!

We stayed at Rodger’s place for my partner’s birthday with a group of friends, and it couldn’t have been better. The site was spacious, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend. Rodger was friendly and welcoming, making sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. Beautifully setup - so many lovely touches. Great having a shower and toilet and the camp kitchen, Bbq, barn, communal and individual fire pits 🔥 and the pool table. Quiet area but only 15 mins into Toowoomba. Pubs, supermarket and petrol on 5 - 10 mins away. Loved it 🙌

Our stay at Mount view Farmstay was very nice dispite the wet first day, however found the barn an ideal place to hangout and stay dry. The camping facilities are very good with the barn, toilets, fire places and beautiful evening views of the sunset. Our host Katrina was very welcoming on arrival and ensured we had everything we needed. Great place for a quiet weekend, and will certainly be back.

Weekend Trip to Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat

Staying in the Bunk Cabin with 3 travelling dogs was a breezy break from swag camping! With the help of a couple portable dog fences we could hang out on the balcony & have lazy days inside, which was a welcome change during wet weather. The huge outdoor space meant we could go for stress-free walks, the amenities were 20m away & the circular common space in the middle was perfect for mingling or doggy wee breaks! My staffy loved seeing campers pull up behind us over the weekend, wagged her tail at the window the whole time 🐶 I had acquired a scared Kelpie who sleeps happiest in the canopy, the staff placed me in the far/quiet bunk house because I could park my car next to it 🥰 Very grateful for our stay!!

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples and larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. Campers must arrive before 5pm to check in. Once checked in you are welcome to come and go as you please. No pets please.

Please be mindful of long showers and leaving taps on or dripping. 7) A small bin is provided in the kitchen for food scraps. 8) General waste a bin is situated outside of the mini house. 9) No pets in the house at all. This will incur a fine if found out. All pets must be pets must be on a chain at all times. 10) RESPECT OUR PROPERTY PLEASE. This campsite is raising money for a midwife clinic that we run in Vanuatu.
