We provide an exclusive booking for you on absolute river frontage for tents and camper trailers.
Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up.
Please note... our campsite has been ongoing since 2017 and campers have kindly shared their many happy memories. Over the years, things change. Please take the photos lightly.
There is no vehicular boat ramp but still excellent access for other small watercraft. Due to the steep track to the camp area we insist on 4WD’s only - though you can walk down if feeling energetic!
Please bring drinking water and a desire to leave the riverside just as you found it. We have enough room for around 20 people in tents or camper trailers.
Portaloo toilet available at the campsite.
Campfires are permitted in the circle but please be mindful of any restrictions. You can purchase firewood from us if needed.
Dogs are also welcome but must stay with you at all times. Please let us know they are coming as well.

We are a working small rural property so with that comes seasonal tractor work/trucks and an element of busy, depending on what projects are on the go! Real taste of rural life while being smack bang in the privacy and serenity of our buzzing property!

The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore.
The site is flat and mowed with easy access from the road for caravans.
The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels.
Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.)
The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!)
** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority.
The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops.
We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!)
**Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. **
Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club.
Guests will be able to see and hear them buzzing around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club.
During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globe masters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply.
A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use.

Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)

Absolutely stunning. This is officially our favourite place to camp. The fishing was fantastic, the surroundings were peaceful, and the night sky was completely lit up with stars. We loved being able to let the dogs run free, and by nightfall they were completely worn out. A huge thank you to Josh and Bonnie for sharing your little slice of paradise! We will be back!!!

Top spot. Paddled flicking lures for hours, loved it. River had good flow but still easy enough to get up stream. Fantastic jetty and a loo with a view. Can't wait to get back. ( with better lures and some bait). Cheers

We had a lovely time at wee farm. Even though the weather was a little wet for us we managed to get some fishing in and caught a few catfish. The area is very secluded and private. The toilet isn’t too far from your set up, it’s definitely not the best portaloo we’ve seen but it gets the job done. Ultimately we enjoyed our time.

Back at The Swimming Hole At Ferny Glen.
There's just something about this place... peaceful, grounding and so good for the soul. Highlights include being close to Brisbane, having the site all to ourselves, dog-friendly and the creek is so special. Nothing like washing your face in the creek to start your day followed by a lunchtime swim before a lazy nap. It honestly feels like the world slows down the moment we arrive. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Gums at the Billabong site at Sandy Creek. It was stunning scenery and we got to see some beautiful bird life. The outside bath was amazing under the stars. There is ample space and this particular site is very private, which we love.
I have already recommended this site to many others.
Thanks very much to Cameron and Christina for the excellent communication and respectful approach.
We particularly enjoyed getting to see the jets flying over, doing practice formation from Amberley Base, this was an extremely exciting surprise. They definitely were not intrusive and not early in the morning so it was very exciting during the day.

A favourite hipcamp so far! Silky Oak Flat was a super private, quiet and beautiful spot nicely tucked away yet so close to Gold Coast. Our dogs loved the creek and there was lots of shaded areas for them to hang out. Highly recommend!
