The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes.
Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums.
The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience.
A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals.
Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area.
Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside.
The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits.
There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.
Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request.
1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request.
Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full.

Beautiful green open space, allowing dogs and children plenty of space to explore. If the creek was flowing, it would be a perfect spot for a dip. You can hear the highway noise but not obtrusive. Highly recommended.

We had an absolute lovely stay. Paul is very welcoming and friendly. And Molly, his pet goat is just gorgeous!!! We purchased a few homegrown pumpkins that are growing on the property.
The property is beautifully maintained and extremely peaceful and relaxing. The creek is lovely to sit alongside and also the perfect spot to cool off. Our teenaged nephew kept busy all day exploring both on foot and on the standup paddle board. We enjoyed just relaxing and soaking up the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect little getaway location, we will definitely be returning. It’s also super affordable offering more than other locations we’ve visited in the area, at a much higher price.

Excellent location! We originally booked one night as a late arrival stopover but decided to extend and use as a base to explore the Tweed and Byron areas. The ideal spot for a base or a one night pull in, very close to beaches without squeezing in to a van park. Was suitable for our large set up too! Hosts are friendly and communication excellent.

My Wife and I, as well as our little Jack Russell had an absolute wonderful time at Paul’s Hipcamp site. Paul is a terrific guy and wonderful host. Very accommodating, helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed meeting Molly who is also a very friendly and cute goat. The site is well maintained with really nice mowed grass and pretty much level sites. The stream/river flowing down the back is nice to sit beside or paddle/swim. This was particularly good for our dog on a hot day as he was able to cool with a swim. We have added this as definite site to return to. All in all we had a wonderful time. Thank you so much Paul for allowing us to share and enjoy your beautiful property.

Weekend Trip to Nobby Beach Holiday Village
Check in was nice and easy check out just as easy. Rooms were nice and clean. Need a little maintenance, we had to keep turning the tap real tight to keep it from dripping. Other than that the cabin Had everything we needed for our two nights away. Thanku so much look forward to returning again soon.
