Weekend Trip to Serenity Caravan Park Hervey Bay

We had a lovely time at the Serenity Caravan Park! Late check in was easy as - a handy note left on the office door - and Rob was super friendly and there were lots of lovely little chats with him and other park visitors over the weekend. It was also only a short stroll down to Goody’s on the Beach and the Salty Squid Cafe for coffees and dinner, or to the beachfront across the road. Very well kept spot and beautiful little town 🙂

Weekend Trip to Buxton Bush Camp

Had quite afew people camped around the area but honestly it didn't feel crowded at all. Nice big area to camp at. The bar was awesome and so much better than expected. Price for a beer was cheaper than a schooner at the pub! Bushy brought the wood straight to my camp and was a awesome fella. Live music was great. Will definitely be coming back with mates to enjoy.

Lovely spot! Nice and spacious between sites for more privacy, close to the Burrum river where we fished. Grounds are well kept, nice clean facilities and lovely host! We camped with our dog and had no issues. They have fire pit provided and you can choose from many camp spots, some with large solid wood picnic tables! Will stay again for sure!

Very well maintened, heaps of flat space, and shade, and Daniel was a welcoming host with heaps of extras like ice, bait, coins etc making it easy to camp. Yeah, a few midgeys about but only a couple of hours and spray took care of it

Had a great spot to setup camp with all the amenities close by. The outdoor shower which is gas heated worked extremely well and had a great view of the garden. We spent a lot of time in the spa which worked well and was always hot and ready to go.

Danny and his crew were amazing , the live music was incredible the food was amazing toilet and showers were clean and sanitary I highly recommend Danny’s place

This is a paradise, it was the perfect place to rest up for the night. The site was large and easy to maneuver with our van, being close to the bay and river gave us plenty to explore. The facilities were prestine, excellent maintained and well equipt! Safe we're friendly, helpful and very accommodating of our needs. We would stay again in a heart beat and would recommend everyone stay here!

We loved our 4day stay at Cathedral camp site. Amenities were great and clean. Camp sites were great. We had a great time at camp site.

Location was perfect for us. A simple ride down the bike path right out the front of the property and you are in Bargara for brekky Head off the other way and you’re in Bundy. There are only 4 spots and each site is about 20 or 30 metres from the next site. So it is very quiet at night. Just the sound of the waves. Karen was lovely. Her communication was very prompt. Just an easy person to deal with.

All amenities were very clean and great lighting along walkways. Very good experience. Lots of space and good facilities too to keep kids etc. entertained.

Very much 4wd access. Great spot, all campers tended to set up around the outside which left plenty of room for the kids and big kids to play games. So quiet and the stars are amazing. Plenty of bird life and the odd wallaby. Midgies are there, but not a deal breaker for us, spray & mozzie coils did the trick, will be going back!!!!

Lovely open clean space surrounded by big gums, fire and star gazing was great, would greatly benefit taking small tinny and a couple crab pots but Burrum was close and thought Toogoom was really nice with a good resturant right on the water. Ps shower was really good.

Great communication from host, wonderful location, Karen even had a communial fire one night, i was working an couldn't attend but what a wonderful host. Thank you for a great stay we will be back for sure.

Just minutes from the tourist crowds of Fraser Island, the fishing village of Burrum Heads offers a tranquil retreat. Where to go

Bundaberg region

North of Burrum Heads, Bundaberg is best known as the home of iconic Aussie beverages—Bundaberg Rum and Bundaberg Ginger Beer. Factory and distillery tours are a must-do for visitors, after which you can head to coastal Bargara to camp by the beach, spot turtles at Mon Repos Conservation Park, or cruise out to snorkel and scuba dive along the southern Great Barrier Reef. For the ultimate adventure, how about bush camping on Lady Musgrave Island?

Fraser Coast

Burrum Heads sits on the northern edge of the Fraser Coast, where highlights include whale-watching in Hervey Bay, the heritage town of Maryborough, and the Urangan Pier near Torquay. Further south, Fraser Island is the headline act of the Great Sandy National Park, but the mainland Cooloola area has tent and caravan campsites, and is the starting point of the Great Beach Drive from Rainbow Beach to Noosa Heads.
