Weekend Trip to Colo Mudbrick Camping

Great location, very welcoming host but cost over $700 for two nights for one booking with five adults and 4 kids in 2 tents.

Weekend Trip to NSW Ski Gardens

Well maintained site. Good hot showers and water pressure. Our powered site was big. It had a concreted sheltered area with a sturdy picnic table, prep table and benches and chairs which really good and useful when it rained. We also got to see 2 bandicoots by the river at night which was special. Great spots to launch boats and kayaks ( I'll have to bring mine next time!) It would be great if management could put up signs around the site to let people know about noise curfews +/-general camp site etiquette. We had a noisy group next to us playing loud music late at night that got told off.

Weekend Trip to NSW Ski Gardens

The campground is beautifully maintained and with good facilities. We camped at the powered site and the shed in picnic table area definitely made a difference in wet weather. The toilets and showers are clean and the hot water is sufficiently supplied. Christine is friendly and helpful and we really appreciate her accommodating us and let us (2 groups) stay in the same area even when it’s not our original booking. Overall a perfect campground and I will highly recommend it.

Great place, 2nd time here and loved every moment!

We enjoyed our stay here at Valhalla! We wished we stayed for another night on Kim’s place. Valhalla was clean and the drop toilet was well kept and tidy when we arrived. Set a high standard to our [first time camper] friends. Host was nice and friendly.

Amazing campsite and excellent hosts! Was a pleasure to spend another long weekend at Tejn loft and a great introduction to camping for some of our party. Will definitely be back soon!

It was a great joy-full experience. The showers and toilets were very clean and the staff are very nice and supportive.

Fantastic views! The campsite was just as described. Toilet was so good for a drop toilet. Kept very clean and didnt smell at all. It was also an easy spot to take our 7month old puppy. Communication with the host was very easy. The only downside was that the site is pretty close to a road where cars pass by at about 100km/hr, so the serene silence of the valley was unfortunately disturbed intermittently by car noise. We were there Easter long weekend so the road might not be so busy at other times. Overall a great stay for us and our pup!

Wanted somewhere pet friendly near Sydney Show Ground, excellent choice and good Indian restaurant nearby.

3 nights at Valhalla.

A beautiful spot, such a relaxing getaway for myself, my two boys and our kelpie. Super convenient toilet facilities and loved the extra touch to be able to purchase basic items that you may forget! Being able to purchase firewood which was delivered to the site was handy too. Thanks for a great stay!

4 nights at NSW Ski Gardens

The staff at the NSW Ski Gardens were so welcoming and accommodating. We had a powered site right on the water. The hot food was also really good and reasonably priced. The toilets and showers are some of the cleanest we have used when camping. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a welcoming, peaceful and relaxing stay. We will definitely be going back.

1 night at Glenworth Valley Camping Ground

Such a gem! Had no idea it was going to be this great. A fair few people camping but everyone was respectful and I had such a good sleep here too - completly quiet except the birds, trees etc everything you’d want at a campsite) Fun activities to participate in as well such as the horse riding which was amazing, everyone was so easy to follow and the instructors were so friendly and helpful. The shop was useful to have to, just incase if you run out of supplies, same with the bathrooms, they were relatively clean (it was rainy and quite muddy tbf) so meant the floors were a bit muddy but if you’re wearing things then no problem whatsoever. Thanks for making my stay feel safe and secure❤️

NSW Ski Gardens is situated on the banks of the Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry. Every October - April is our peak time and its busy! Please be aware there is river noise during our busy times on weekends so may not suit those looking for tranquillity on weekends. During the week it's fine but weekends are busy and a bit noisy. We are 1.2 km from the township along the River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Amenities include hot showers, laundry, on-site kiosk and boat ramp (fee applicable). BBQ and covered picnic area. Dogs are welcome on leash. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.

You will have exclusive use of the outdoor bathroom, including an amazing outdoor bath overlooking the river. The camping spot and outdoor bathroom are a good distance from the cabin, separated by bush and gardens. The available area is mostly flat, suitable for tents, camper trailer, or vans. On the site you can have multiple tents/vans to fit your group up to 8 people. Our property is just 30mins from Windsor, in the beautiful Hawkesbury Region. You'll arrive via 2.5km of winding dirt road, suitable for 2wd, subject to potholes after heavy rain. The road may not be suitable for larger vans due to a few tight corners. Camping Rules: Do not light a fire without approval from owners. Approval for a fire is dependent on weather, conditions, and restrictions. Fires must be kept small. No chainsaws or generators. No Pets. No Parties or Extra Guests without approval. Do not drive or park in sign posted areas. Reduce noise after 11pm. Leave the bathroom clean. No littering. Dispose of rubbish in the bins on WBR Road Provided: WIFI, power for small devices, complimentary shampoo/conditioner/soap, tank water (suitable for bathing, not drinking). 1 barrel of wood (small fire for 1 night) Available: Refill of wood for $30 Activities: If conditions are right you can light a campfire and enjoy the night sky. Bush walk along the cliff top and down to Colo River. Access the river from a small jetty, swim across to the beach. Note the river is tidal and the currents can be strong. Bike ride or walk along the local roads surrounded by bush, spot the koalas, wombats, wallabies and bandicoots. Bird watching including finches, honey eaters, wrens, lyrebirds, black cockatoos, eagles, etc. Walk through the veggie garden and help yourself to some herbs. Take a drive into Windsor or explore the surrounding area. Some local roads will suit 4wd.

Sitting on 25 acres this spot is great to just unwind and relax, looking out over the trees down the valley is as beautiful as it gets. A lot of bird activity will accompany your mornings and afternoons. Enjoy sitting around the fire pit at nighttime roasting marshmallows. Come nighttime during September - February it is the mating season for koalas, the valley being a known corridor for koloas you quite often hear them searching for their partner. being such an accessible site and not off the beaten track, some days you may notice more vehicles driving past. Just a short drive to the local country pub, even a few local wineries. Take the old convict road all the way down to the country pub at st Albans, which is very peaceful for adults but theres also a creek for the kids to play in and newly upgraded playground. Off the convict road there are a few 4wd tracks. Just back from the property you have direct access into the Watagan Mountains, which offers great 4wd tracks, lots of hiking trails, motorbike tracks and even a few waterfalls.
