Weekend Trip to Bundilla River Camp

We loved this farm stay. We booked site 1 which had power and it's a great spot right near where you walk down to the river. It was so tranquil. Well manicured. Cute swing set and had fun using the communal bikes. The pit toilets are very clean. We utilised the wood fire pizza oven the first night which was such a hit! The kids loved the farm tour, we got to see bunnies, goats, chickens and cows. Would definitely come back again in the warmer months the river would be awesome to swim in. You feel like you're in the middle of no-where (which you kinda are) but we went into port for the day and it's only half an hour drive. Highly recommend. Thanks so much guys!

We camped at the first bush site as it was more private. Well maintained property with plenty of firewood which was great. Some road noise if you’re picky but that’s expected with such a convenient location. Would come here again.

Weekend Trip to Bundilla River Camp

What an incredible place to bring the family! We stayed for three nights and were so glad we did. The kids loved visiting the animals and riding their bikes. The swings were also a big hit. The pit toilets were perfect for us since we don't have amenities in our van. It was easy to tow our van to the campsite. Thank you, Rick and Cheryl!

Weekend Trip to Bundilla River Camp

This is our second visit to Bundilla River camp and once again it did not disappoint. This time we visited with friends and enjoyed our time swimming in the river, walking the short trail and saying hello to the cows as they passed our camp each morning. Kids loved the swing and visit to feed the animals. The addition of the pit toilets was a welcome surprise that added to our comfort. We enjoyed our time here so much we have all decided to make it at least an annual event.

I camped at Scott’s property on the Bril Bril Creek Campsite over the weekend, and it was absolutely beautiful. The location is peaceful, scenic, and incredibly relaxing—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. Scott’s property is truly a lovely spot, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet weekend escape.

Weekend Trip to Bundilla River Camp

Bundilla River Camp was the best!! Highly recommend to anyone. We loved it and were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves as we went just after the floods. It was a little wet and muddy but that was perfect for our kids. We had fires each night, watched the stars, woke up to the beautiful cows in the morning, river swims, swings, bike ride's and gorgeous walks. It was so quiet and peaceful. Toilets were clean and it was so handy having a river water tap to use. Rick and Cheryl were great to talk too. We only booked an hour or so before we arrived and it all went smoothly and was easy. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful drive in to property and lovely location with good amenities. Creek was easy to access and great to swim in. Close proximity to Port Macquarie. We had a lot of rain and were flooded in for half a day, which made the site a little slippery to get out of. Rick and Cheryl were extremely helpful and accomodating though!

Absolutely beautiful place, the kids had an absolute ball on the canoes and with all the animals. Will definitely be back again we camp a lot and this is our family’s favourite place so far. Susan and Bernard are such lovely hosts. I felt so safe with our young kids here. Usually I worry about them on campsites but it was so nice to relax and have them just enjoy this special place.

Excellent campsite right on the river, and great amenities (hot showers and clean toilets, kayaks, petting/baby animal farm + larger farm animals), very helpful and friendly hosts. Massive campsites suitable for 2-3 groups. Two gorgeous and very friendly farm border collies. Great fishing from the riverbank or in the kayaks. Short drive into Port Macquarie if needed. We'll definitely be back.

8 nights at Windermere Farm

This is a stunning area. The camping spots were beautiful and easy to get to. You don't have to drive very far in from the road, yet they are peaceful and quiet. Being able to launch the canoe straight into the river was great and Annie and Peter were warm and welcoming and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The campfire and wood were appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

A 150-acre working farm with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River (with a rustic boat ramp and waterway running into the Hastings River). Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, and local strawberry and tomato picking. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Pipe Dream Bush Camp - Dog Friendly

If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). Happy camping!

It is a place you can truly feel Mother Nature’s quirks and get away from the stress of the world. From rolling hills, to mountainous ocean views, to steep tree lined gullies & clear river swims in the Taylor’s Arm River; Whip Mountain Farm is a place to slow down & disconnect to re-connect with what’s important. Speaking of connection you won’t find phone service unless you trek to the top of the mountain, so rest assured you can completely switch off if you choose to. You are free to wander the property as you wish. There are plenty of walking trails throughout and many spots to set up camp for beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. As we are up high, noise carries through the valley, so we ask no parties or doofs are to be held here. We live for music but please respect the valley and the fauna that also calls this place home - so keep it low after 10pm. We love and respect our land & if you are to stay here, we ask that you will to. Treat it like your own piece of paradise, so that we can continue to offer this beautiful experience to others for years to come. There is a large freshwater lake to swim in and laze the sunny days away & the stars are so bright at night. There is also a river just down the road at the bottom of the property you can swim, kayak or fish. We get bass in the river, so if fresh fish for dinner is your kind of thing you will love it. The place is a little wild, and we like it like that. That being said you may be sharing with snakes and spiders occasionally, so keep an eye out and zip up your tents and close doors. Keep aware in the warmer summer months and make noise when you are bushwalking. We also have some neighbour cows that like to come and hang out on the land. They are friendly, so if you see them moving about, feel free to say hi. Here you feel like you are a million miles away from the world when in reality you are just a short 15 minutes from the cute country town of Macksville with an epic pub meal and essential items you need to stock up for a few days. It’s 5 minutes to the Taylors Arm River where you can swim and kayak and a 15 minute drive from Taylors Arm and the iconic ‘Pub With No Beer’ (they have plenty of beer). A little further east, a short 30 minute scenic country drive will end you up on some of the mid-north coasts most stunning coastlines and beaches including Scott’s Head, Grassy Head, Nambucca Beach, and Valla Beach all renowned for epic surfing spots and cute cafes. A longer drive of 50 minutes north, straight up the highway will get you to Coffs Harbour and 60 minutes south to Port Macquarie. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and we can’t wait for you to fall in love like we have.
