Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people.

An easy 20 minute drive from the M1 (Pacific Motorway) Morisset exit, Wombat Flats Campsite is an exclusive, quiet and private camping area at the back of our 100 acres. The campsite borders Watagan National Park and guests can access the park directly through our back gate for bushwalking activities. Staying here, you are completely hidden from any other man made structure, immersed in nature. The property is located less than 2 hours from Sydney, 20 mins from Cessnock and the Hunter wineries, adjacent to Sugarloaf Conservation area.
You'll love the morning and evening birdsong and be surrounded by the colour green by day. At night, be lulled by the music of the froggy symphonies, watch the moon rise over the forrest, and being mesmerised by the warmth and dancing light of a fire. Wallabies visit at dusk and dawn and a Koala has been heard calling at night.
A 1km drive from the main road leads to the open living space. There are two cabins, just within sight of each other, a campsite with an outdoor kitchen shed and a large oval lawn.
The Sky Cabin (blue) has a very comfortable queen size bed, a large deck, bbq, composting toilet, small equipped kitchen, solar lighting, hot and cold running water, an outdoor hot shower, and slow combustion fireplace inside.
The Earth Cabin has an exceptionally comfortable queen size bed, deck, composting toilet, solar lighting, a slow combustion fireplace inside and running water outside a short distance away.
If you want to include Belle tents in your booking rather than bring your own you have the option to add those to your booking and we will set them up for you with lighting included, though you will need to BYO beds and bedding.
The campsite adjacent to the shed has running water, an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.
The property has short (circular) walks through the bush, and access to Sugarloaf Conservation area (with further walks and access to the Great North Walk). But its the ideal place to just chill.
Access from Brunkerville, keys can be picked up from a lockbox at the property gate.

We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Staying here, you are completely hidden from any other man made structure, immersed in nature. The property is located less than 2 hours from Sydney, 20 mins from Cessnock and the Hunter wineries, adjacent to Sugarloaf Conservation area.
You'll love the morning and evening birdsong and be surrounded by the colour green by day. At night, be lulled by the music of the froggy symphonies, watch the moon rise over the forrest, and being mesmerised by the warmth and dancing light of a fire. Wallabies visit at dusk and dawn and a Koala has been heard calling at night.
A 1km drive from the main road leads to the open living space. There are two cabins, just within sight of each other, a campsite with an outdoor kitchen shed and a large oval lawn.
The Sky Cabin (blue) has a very comfortable queen size bed, a large deck, bbq, composting toilet, small equipped kitchen, solar lighting, hot and cold running water, an outdoor hot shower, and slow combustion fireplace inside.
The Earth Cabin has an exceptionally comfortable queen size bed, deck, composting toilet, solar lighting, a slow combustion fireplace inside and running water outside a short distance away.
If you want to include Belle tents in your booking rather than bring your own you have the option to add those to your booking and we will set them up for you with lighting included, though you will need to BYO beds and bedding.
The campsite adjacent to the shed has running water, an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.
The property has short (circular) walks through the bush, and access to Sugarloaf Conservation area (with further walks and access to the Great North Walk). But its the ideal place to just chill.
Access from Brunkerville, keys can be picked up from a lockbox at the property gate.

Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

It’s was a bit of a surprise finding the little hidden gem not far from home, but far enough to enjoy each other’s company a not be on our phones.. Friendly, happy host Alana. Quiet spot with plenty of room. Clean bathrooms, able to play footy, and use the new rc car toy, while running around with the puppy. Close to shops when we needed them, went to wollombi for a nice easy drive. Loved it.

This is such a beautiful and precious hip camp. The people that run the farm are so lovely and very accomodating. They do tours on weekends and take you to their animals. /teach you about the farm and its history.
There is a really lovely waterfall and walk and the orchards are beautiful to walk around with tasteful oranges!
The funds raised from the hip camp goes to the Rotary charity in many countries it is a very cool concept.
We would highly recommend checking this out!

We stayed one night at Canoelands Orchard Campground (Site 1) and had a wonderful family experience. The campground is very clean, safe, and peaceful.
Sites 1 and 2 are located separately from the other sites, which gave us great privacy—perfect for families with young children. Our child was able to play safely, explore nature, and really enjoy the outdoor space.
This was our second visit. We first came in December for fruit picking, and that lovely experience encouraged us to return and stay overnight. We truly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this campground to families.

The walk to the bottom dam was definitely steeper than we thought it would be, but the swim was great on a 35⁰C day.

Bev and her husband were so welcoming and lovely and the sites were well kept, beautiful and with excellent facilities like a shower, super clean toilet and a sink to do your washing up. We were super thrilled with being able to bring our dog with us,, who was also made to feel really welcome! The place is really well situated also with loads of beaches, cafes, and other activities all with in a 10-30 minute drive. We will absolutely be back again!

A lovely stay for a night away from Sydney! We thoroughly enjoyed fruit picking and walking around the orchard. The camp spot was well kept and had a gorgeous view of the valley. It was a bit noisy from the buildings nearby in the later evening but other than that it was a wonderful time! Would certainly recommend!!

Fantastic spot. I have been four times with my sons and will continue to go. Jim is a great host and provides a perfect combination of bush outlook, privacy and spaced out camping spots with the comfort of your own toilet and drinking water. Also have easy access to Morisset for supplies if needed. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Site number 3 and it was fantastic! A spacious shady area which was private and peaceful.
Was lovely to be visited daily by 2 beautiful dogs, who were super friendly.
Nice to be able to grab coffee & a bacon and egg roll for breakfast at the on Site coffee shop.
Also flush toilet and shower available.
