We had a fantastic stay at Elouera Vale Farm – it’s a brilliant escape whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or with the whole family. With 30 acres of the 140-acre property set aside just for campers, there’s an abundance of space to find your own quiet corner to unwind or let the kids roam free, whether on foot or by bike. The clean and well-maintained premium porta loos were a pleasant surprise and make this spot ideal for all types of campers – from the bare essentials through to fully equipped caravans. Don’t be put off by the listing on Hipcamp – access for larger vans and big rigs is no issue at all. One of the highlights for us was the animal feeding tour. Our daughter absolutely loved it and Wayne was fantastic. She’s now dreaming of becoming a camel and donkey farmer! We highly recommend Elouera Vale Farm and can’t wait to return – next time, we’ll be bringing friends along to share the experience.

Weekend Trip to Stary Ponds

We had a lovely stay – such a peaceful and beautiful location! The tent was cosy and very comfortable for two adults. It was a bit of a squeeze with kids, but we made it work and they absolutely loved collecting wood and exploring the area. The space was clean, and the beds were great – warm and inviting after a day outside. There’s a grill over the firepit and plenty of wood around to collect, which made for great family fun. Do note that there’s no cooking equipment or seating, so we recommend bringing your own table, chairs, and kitchen/eating gear. Also, if you’re staying in cooler weather, bring a few extra blankets. A lovely glamping experience overall. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic camp grounds and awesome host. The farm tour was great with my 5yo. Beautiful surroundings and lots of native wildlife, saw a wombat! Some natural firewood around, plenty of kindling. Went in May and creek had water in it.

Close to town, only a 3k walk on a trail next to the road. Erin was very good on communication ahead of the trip and accommodating as I was there after all the massive rains so was worried about bogging.

4 nights at 'Elouera Vale' Farm

The White Gums camping area was a perfect piece of rural camping, right in a nicely kept bush setting, but minutes from Cafe’s, shops and other sightseeing must do’s. This was our 1st try at Hipcamping, and I have to say, if we do any more, the next hosts have their work cut out for them to better the reception and the service provided by Wayne. Meeting the camels and touring the family property was a highlight and the memories of this place will be something we will look back on fondly. Thank you Wayne

Garden Space - Bundanoon

We are a family of 4 with 2 school aged boys. We have travelled extensively around Australia and are familiar with the caravanning lifestyle. Pitch your self contained camper or caravan in our secluded garden in Bundanoon. We are only 0.5 acre but there is plenty of space for kids and well behaved dogs. Depending on the size of your set up and rainfall you will either be on grass at the back of our garden with moderate privacy or at the front of the house on gravel - not as much privacy. We have a fire pit, (fire wood available) and chooks and a thriving veggie garden. There is a zip line, cubby house, swings, sand pit, paddling pool and toys for younger children. We hand feed the wild king parrots who come frequently. Hook up to water and power and you can manually empty cassettes. Wifi is available but can be unreliable. Bundanoon village is only 1.4kms away. The pub is even closer! Moreton National park is only 2.5kms away and we are familiar with the walks there. We will mostly be around if you need us and are more than happy to recommend places to visit and eat. I can also offer wholesome home cooked meals or meal hampers - please message me ahead of time to enquire / arrange. Bundanoon has a small IGA, several restaurants (including a decent thai and Italian), pharmacy, post office, newsagent, multiple cafes and various shops.

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. 40 acres of lush farmland 4 mins from bawley point beaches. Keep driving up the old highway to access Shallow Crossing and Pigeon House Mountain. Bring your horse if you’d like to explore the state forests on horseback. Miniature cows, horses, peacocks and Guinea fowl will visit you. You need to be self contained, with your own toilet/shower facilities but there is access to water (for dishes etc) Toilets are in the works but not yet available. Will update upon completion. PLEASE RESPECT THE TWO CARS PER SITE RULE. FIXING WEAR AND TEAR ON THE ROAD IS COSTLY.
