Here you will find great fishing, surfing and access to all watersport activities at Swan Haven. There is fantastic mountain biking through the Jerrawangala National Park. Sit around the campfire and relax (firewood provided). This campsite suits self contained campers with own toilet/shower and water supply. You can use our BBQ and rubbish facilities. Well behaved pets on leashes welcome. Horses can be accommodated. Do not enter the paddocks with our horses but if you would like to meet the horses please ask. Best shade is in the morning when you want to sleep in. There is a tranquil creek on the eastern side of the camp and horses and hand reared cattle graze on the western paddock. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Bring some books, set up a hammock and laze the days away. Beaches on the coast and beautiful Jervis Bay are 20 Minutes away. The Jervis Bay region has much to offer so if you're up for adventure, bring your kayaks and snorkelling gear. Our primary purpose here is horse agistment, with four horses currently on the farm, along with 12 lovely chickens that free range during the day. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property. 2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. Firewood is available at additional cost. 3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. We always have a presence on the property and have good Telstra coverage, so although you feel a million miles from nowhere you also feel secure.

A very pretty spot between cows and a forest on the other side, which actually creates shade in the morning for those who want to sleep longer. The host is very kind and came to say hello and give some tips about the area. There are no toilets or running water, so be prepared.

Ian met us at the camp as we arrived, showed us around, had a chat and a laugh. We met Nigel and Mavis, Ian’s two little dogs, that also came down to make sure we were alright! The camping space was lovely, well maintained, freshly mowed grass, fire pits and the two spots had access to a few stacks of firewood around the camp. The spot we chose was the first as you drive in, overlooking the creek. Quite a large space, which fit our 17’ caravan no problems at all. We had a few cows and sheep nearby to give us a nice country feel, kookaburras laughing, an occasional Rooster crow and Nigel and Mavis showing up periodically to check on us and let us know the perimeter was secure. One tip; don’t go down Wandian road, the dirt road turnoff from the Princes Hwy, take the sealed road turnoff close to the Servos! The dirt road is wild, especially pulling a 17’ caravan!! Well done Ian, you a great host and a legend. Would recommend the camp A+ 9/10

Camping at Shady Trees was lovely and quiet. Kirsty was welcoming, and showed us to our site and just left us to our holiday, giving us a polite wave if she drove past, but otherwise not overbearing. One thing I would like to note is that this site is in between 2 paddocks, and approx 100m from the next campsite and 50m from a horses training yard, it is not as secluded as it appears in the photos, I think the secluded site is down by the creek. All in all, loved my stay, so close to Jervis Bay

It was peaceful! The campers were all spaced out well! Scott and his wife, great hosts. We could make a fire which was a big bonus for this time of year for us! Grounds can be uneven, but there are even areas. There is grassed areas as well.

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to Ian for putting this land up for camping! It's so considerate and kind. Secondly, we were running way behind on our schedule and didn't get there until almost 8pm and Ian was kind enough to still welcome us and show us around. And third and most important, the cows 🤣 my partner is a huge animal friend and some sort of "Disney princess" that animals just come to him. He spent a lots of his time with petting the cows and having fun. It's a wonderful place, stargazing is spectacular.
