Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. Check in time is strictly prior to 7pm. Pets allowed but you must have on lead when walking around the property near cattle. Note a maximum of 2 dogs per camp site. Rules: 1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 4.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 7pm may be turned away in busy times. 2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock 3. 9pm quiet time. 4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers 5. If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). Happy camping!

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

NOTE This is not available for vehicle washing, cleaning fish or filling large tanks. No emptying /cleaning of portable toilets please. If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). Happy camping!

The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. We are a 4 minute drive from the historical town of Gladstone, which has a bakery, butcher, general store, retail shops, fruit and veg shop, nursery, cafes, restaurants, an op-shop, second hand wares shop, galleries, outdoor swim centre and of course the local pub. Gladstone Markets are on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It's a 20 minute drive to South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head. Just 45 minutes north of Port Macquarie and 1 hour south of Coffs Harbour. Please arrive before dark, or advise arrival time if not possible . You must be fully self contained, there are no facilities. Please no tents or swags. Enjoy a beautiful campsite near a large dam, watch the ducks, rosellas, cranes, herons and the occasional Jabiru, feed and nest in the trees. A great spot for bird watching. Pick your own spot, maybe near one of the fire braziers, but not directly under the trees if windy. No livestock on property but we have visiting kangaroos, tortoises, green frogs, and eels in the dam if you want to fish for them. Mid Coast Flying operate a private 800 metre airstrip on the property, and Trial Instructional Flights (TIFS) are available, for $150 for 45 minutes. Please speak to Ross when you arrive. You can pick your own site. Unfortunately we may have to close after torrential rain events. We are also pet friendly, however there are no bins, so please pick up after your pets in the camping area. Water is available near the hangar as you drive in.

Not far to the surfing Mecca of Crescent Head and beaches at Hat Head. Only 6 minutes drive to the villages of Smithtown and Gladstone, renowned for their cafes, galleries and friendly pubs. Activities include, fishing on your doorstep. Up close experiences with farm animals including cattle and chickens. The property has 3 of the oldest and largest Morton Bay Fig trees in this area.

What a beautiful place!!! We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! Rick and Cheryl’s place is so warm and welcoming, nothing is a bother! The river is clear and beautiful, the hospitality is amazing, feeding the animals was an absolute highlight for our little city kids! It was a struggle to get the kids out of the place! The sites are so big and the is plenty of shade along the river. Toilets were super clean and well Maintained. I honestly could rave about the place for days. Book a stay is my advice!

We absolutely loved camping at Bundilla River Camp. Large grassy sites, the river was the perfect cooling down spot with boogie boards and kayaks available. The kids swings and bikes were an added bonus and we really enjoyed the farm tour. We loved that we could order wood which was delivered straight to the site and the baked goods by Nicole were so delicious!

Me and my partner had a great time camping here. Didn’t have time to do the farm tour, but just setting up metres away from the river was enough. short walk or drive to the river access point, communal kayaks and boogie boards were an amazing touch. River water was a good temperature, a very picturesque creek and some incredible birdlife. Rick and Cheryl were both very friendly and reachable but not overbearing. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic hipcamp. Sites was large and green. Best drop toilets i have ever seen. River access was super easy. Loved the animal feeding experience. The fresh backed cakes were delicious. Could not recommend this more highly. Would definitely be back if we are up this way again. Thank you

Would definitely recommend to anyone it’s a beautiful spot the hosts Rick and Cheryl are soo lovely and friendly and welcoming they take very good care of the area their daughter comes down every arvo with fresh baked cakes and cookies to buy which are very yummy the kids loved going up to their place to feed the animals and and we had soo much fun swimming there the water is soo nice we spent a lot of time just floating around on our floaties can’t wait to go back there dog friendly very relaxed and only about a 20 min drive into Port Macquarie If you need to get anything

What an amazing camp site. The sites are large, there are a few powered sites but mostly unpowered. Cheryl and Rick were fantastic hosts. The river is stunning and they provide plenty of kayaks free of charge for you to use. The drop toilets are in impeccable condition. They provide farm tours for the kids to pat and feed animals, and their daughter sells fresh baked treats every afternoon to curb the sweet cravings. The camp site is only 30 minutes from Port Macquarie so very accessible. We will definately be back.

1 night at Eden Brae Farm
We had the most amazing stay at Scott’s property. He was so welcoming and generous, letting us interact with all his animals the horses, goats, cows and pigs were such a highlight. The creek was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Scott’s son was lovely and took the time to show us around, which made the experience even more special. Such a wholesome, relaxing place we’d definitely love to come back!

This farm was just beautiful! Cheryl and Rick were so friendly, and were happy to just chat 😊 The kids got to feed the farm animals, which they loved. Drop toilets were clean and there was filtered water straight from the river. The campsites were maintained and site numbers easily visible. There are kayaks and body boards avaliable for use on the river. We cant wait to return 😊😊
