Riverwood is ideally located halfway between the country charm of the town of Bellingen and the coastal beauty of Urunga — just an easy 8-minute drive in either direction. Spend the day exploring Bellingen’s cafés, markets, and culture, or head the other way to Urunga for pristine estuaries, beaches, and ocean breezes.
As night falls, drift to sleep under a canopy of stars, with the gentle sounds of the river and the peaceful company of cows nearby—a true farm-meets-nature escape.
The ACCESS road to our campsite is flat and easy to navigate, though it is unsealed. For this reason, we recommend arriving in an AWD or 4WD vehicle for a smooth and comfortable journey.
The campsite is basic, there are no facilities.
Guests will need to provide their own toilet facilities. There are free public Dump Points available in Bellingen, Urunga, Mylestom and Coffs Harbour
A mains WATER tap is available for use upon request, though it is located a short distance from the campsite.

Beautiful undulating bush block with a lovely dam for swimming. The property offers about 10 acres of cleared and reasonably flat land to choose your campsite. Dogs are welcome under supervision. All guests need to be completely self contained. You will need to have your own toilet and shower facilities.
As Caravans and RVs are unable to access the road further west, this is a great place to set up a base camp for day trips. Just 5 kms from Macleay river which is ideal for canoeing, fishing, swimming, etc. 10 kms east of the lovely area of Nulla Ck (home of Slim Dusty) and the historic village of Bellbrook that has a quaint old Pub that serves delicious food and has great views of the river. Past Bellbrook there is Blackbird Flat,(canoeing), Georges Ck Junction, and Wollomombi Falls, just to name a few.

We loved staying at Valla Beach, facilities were great and most importantly, clean! The communal BBQ was really useful. You have lots of space in your “zone” so you don’t feel like you’re cramped, would 100% recommend!

Absolutely beautiful spot with lovely hosts. Hubby fished (successfully!) off the banks right in front of camp every day and I set up my hammock under the sheoaks and enjoyed quality time with my son. The eggs were delicious! My one negative would be that the grass was a little long and we were worried about our 1 year old and our dog in it coz we wouldn’t be able to see snakes coming. Other than that it was perfect and we wished we had booked for longer!

We loved everything about this place. the level ground, the soft well maintained grass area and the easy to access river.
Our dogs enjoyed being off leash, running around and swimming.
It’s just a shame we had to leave a day early to avoid packing up our camper trailer wet.
But we will return.

Beautiful location right on the Bellinger River.
Close to Urunga and the historic Bellingen village. Quiet and tranquil. Even there were another 5 vans on the property, everyone had enough distance and privacy which is fantastic.
There are mozzies around at night so don’t forget to pack repellent.
Great and easy to launch a boat, kayak etc right by the campsite.
Norah is very helpful and prompt to reply if you text with any questions etc. Location was easy to find with clear instructions from Norah.
Highly recommend for such a convenient yet private and tranquil site. Will definitely be back again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riverwood 383 – Bonnie’s Paddock. From the moment we arrived, the setting exceeded our expectations. The paddock offers beautiful, peaceful river frontage, making it ideal for swimming, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water. We enjoyed launching our kayak straight from the bank and spent hours exploring the gentle bends of the river – it was truly a highlight of our trip.
The site itself felt wonderfully spacious and private, with plenty of room to set up camp without feeling crowded. The natural surrounds create a real sense of being off-grid, while still being close enough to town for conveniences and access to local attractions like Bellingen’s cafes, shops and beaches.
The hosts were welcoming and communicative, providing clear arrival instructions and helpful local tips. We appreciated how easy check-in was and how responsive they were to questions before arrival.
Facilities were exactly as described – simple, clean and suited to the nature-focused experience that Riverwood 383 promises. We came prepared for minimal infrastructure, and it made the stay feel more authentic and back-to-basics, which we enjoyed.
Overall, this was one of the most scenic and tranquil camping spots we’ve visited. Whether you’re into fishing, boating, or just unwinding beside the water, Bonnie’s Paddock is an excellent choice. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

There's is tap water available and possibly fire wood if you go for a hunt.
Morning was beautiful with roos next to us .
Only thing is bringing your portable toilet, there's no one tree were no-one cant see you ...

Such a beautiful place for our doggo to being in her 15th bday! She walked to the beach and had a beautiful swim! She still lives life like a puppy! - site was lush green and lovely neighbours who regularly camp there - amenities very clean. A fantastic dog- friendly stop over!
