The on-site bathrooms and washing facilities are clean and well-maintained, making it a great choice for families, solo campers, and first-timers. Plus, it’s pet-friendly — a big bonus if you’re bringing furry friends along! Yara is a wonderful host and she provided up to date information. Made everything easy!

We were the only ones camping on the night we were at Banjo’s Retreat. Torrential rain made towing a caravan with a regular SUV a little tricky but Barry was super helpful to take the stress out of a day when Mother Nature wasn’t so happy! Recommend the first area, Wedding paddock in really bad weather, otherwise Sunset Paddock out the back is a beautiful spot. Barry will guide you accordingly!

Private, peaceful campsite with a friendly host (Adam) who greeted us on arrival. Eco-friendly toilet was appreciated and cute ducks in the pond. Would recommend for small or large groups keen to have a quiet getaway (no loud parties).

3 nights at "DeView" Colo River Valley Camping

Just returned from a wonderful experience at De View! Even though the weather was far from kind on our day of departure, or family had a memorable time. The place was beautiful. Morning mist made the valley take on a mysterious property. The shallow Colo River was fantastic for kids and overgrown kids. Floating down the river on a float was my wife's favorite part of the trip. The small things were where you could see that the host has poured heart into creating a welcoming experience. The whole area was covered in clean grass, no rocks nor stones to poke at your feet as you walk along barefooted. Laminated maps and signs help you find where you are supposed to be. And slow closing doors on all toilets and showers made sure you are not shocked at night by someone else's urgent business. 😝 The location was easy to find and took us just 1.5 hours to get home to Sydney after breaking camp which was great. Might even consider for shorter getaways next time. 👍🏽

Great little spot! It rained while we were there but would have loved to see the place dry to really make the most of it. We had Arena area to ourselves and our young children were safe running around. Access is a little tight in places and if towing definitely 4WD needed. We stayed with Jayco Swift but didn’t have any problems. Amenities were fabulous! Would come again. Thank you for having us Natasha

What a place. It was so peaceful and lovely. I didn’t mind it raining as the atmosphere was awesome.

Stayed for 1 night on our way up the coast. Stayed on site 4 with our off-road 21.6ft van. Debbie was very accomodating. Beautiful well maintained property and sites. We were able to level van up easily, grassy site and very quiet. Would recommend!

2 nights at "DeView" Colo River Valley Camping

Great spot by the river for me to introduce my 3 kids to camping. They had a great time kayaking and swimming in the river and they really loved having a camp fire. At other times, they played on the rope swing, threw a frisby and kicked a soccer ball in the wide open space. Not once did they ask for their devices! The misty mornings were a beautiful start to the day. I can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our time camping on Yara's land. It's got great camping spots that are spacious, flat and well maintained. Lovely surroundings with the river just a short walk away. The amenities block has flushable toilets, showers and a sink for washing, which was super helpful and they were pretty clean. Yara is also very friendly and we really appreciated the helpful information and communication so we were well prepared. She would come by the site every day to check in on the campers and the facilities, so it was easy to ask questions if we needed to. We loved staying here and we would definitely do it again!

2 nights at Central Coast Valley Farm

Beautiful place for camping. We went here with 2 kids for 2 nights and it was wonderful. Andy is a fantastic host and even set up a work tent to provide some extra shelter from the rain and provided extra kindling for us. Definitely a special place and we will be back! We enjoyed the local wild life and watching the mist roll in and out of the valley in the mornings.

Canoelands Valley Camping is an easy-to-access camping area with magnificent views through the National Park Valley. With only two allocated camping/van zones enjoy the privacy and access to walk around the 40 acres. Located 1.15 hrs from Sydney CBD this is an ideal place for a quick weekend getaway for keen hikers, mountain bikers and nature enthusiasts. Surrounded by the Marramarra National Park you have a short drive to access the Canoelands Ridge Trail (17kms), Duckponds Ridge Trail, Marrarra Ridge to Smugglers Point Ridge Trail. We are a short drive to dine at Wiseman Ferry, and only 11 minutes from the local Woolworths. Or enjoy a beautiful walk at Fagan Park in Galston. Your camping/van area is supplied with red/bins. 2 Portaloos available or camping toilets. Dogs allowed but please let me know first. They will need to be on leash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them ANYWHERE they go toilet and also they must be vaccinated. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise please bring your own. All Sites have fire pits. CHILDREN are to be accompanied by an adult at all times if walking around the property. Beautiful spot to relax, with loads of wildlife and bird watching. Please use bins supplied and leave no trace. * There are 4 allocated camp sites. Two are easy(2WD & Vans/trailers) access and have the direct view through the valley. Two require high wheel clearance vehicles (just small hill to drive up with some rocks), these are more private sites(cannot see the other campers) still with lovely views. Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. "DeView" Colo River Valley Camping

Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. Mountain Lagoon Camping & Glamping

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. "Erinvale" Camping by a Billabong

**Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure.** Level paddock with view of wetland water lily filled billabong.
