As we are located on the North Shore of Port Macquarie, and to access the property you must cross the river using the Settlement Point Ferry
The Hibbard Ferry operates (6am - 10am / 2pm-7pm) Mon -Fri and all day on Saturdays and Sundays is only 300 m from the campsite, making it easy to pop into town, explore Port Macquarie’s attractions, or visit the region’s wineries. For longer stays, a discounted ferry pass can be purchased on your behalf.
NOTE THERE IS A COST WHEN USING THE FERRY
North Shore Beach is a 5-minute drive away, and the local gin distillery is just a 15–20 minute drive up Maria River Road.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river.
Please note that in very wet weather , being riverside camping, the sites can be unsuitable for caravans and camper vans . Please enquire by message with us to verify current conditions. We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie.
There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so you can take a picnic basket and flask, if you feeling more adventures you cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD.
There's also Ellebrough falls.

The bird life is plentiful with many rare and amazing species either visiting on their annual journeys or calling it home such as the yellow tailed black cockatoo.
Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons.
Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store.
Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times.
The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards.
We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple.
We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum)
We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet.
We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX
Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat.
We look forward to meeting you and will do our best to make your stay memorable.

A 5 acre area is set aside accommodating a maximum of 4 caravans and or motorhomes so that you are well away from other campers. As per the reviews its very peaceful and ideally located close to the town, beaches and other attractions within the general area.
As we are located on the North Shore of Port Macquarie, and to access the property you must cross the river using the Settlement Point Ferry
The Hibbard Ferry operates (6am - 10am / 2pm-7pm) Mon -Fri and all day on Saturdays and Sundays is only 300 m from the campsite, making it easy to pop into town, explore Port Macquarie’s attractions, or visit the region’s wineries. For longer stays, a discounted ferry pass can be purchased on your behalf.
NOTE THERE IS A COST WHEN USING THE FERRY
North Shore Beach is a 5-minute drive away, and the local gin distillery is just a 15–20 minute drive up Maria River Road.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river.
Please note that in very wet weather , being riverside camping, the sites can be unsuitable for caravans and camper vans . Please enquire by message with us to verify current conditions. We endeavour to accomodate you but cannot predict the weather. Tent sites usually okay at any time(remember you will need to have your own toilet facilities) .

Our main attraction is our Engkish and Irish Donkeys and our emus, but of course, there’s a lot more than these girls and guys.
We have a large paddock adjacent to Lansdowne River, where we welcome self-contained campers to set up and enjoy the peace, and easy river access.
The paddock does not have any trees or toilet amenities at this stage. So it's currently BYO toilets/showers please, and all waste it to be taken when you depart.
We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie.
There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so you can take a picnic basket and flask, if you feeling more adventures you cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD.
There's also Ellebrough falls.

The winter days on the mountain are spectacular but the nights can get cold so bring warm clothing.
The bird life is plentiful with many rare and amazing species either visiting on their annual journeys or calling it home such as the yellow tailed black cockatoo.
Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons.
Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store.
Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times.
The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards.
We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple.
We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum)
We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet.
We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX
Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat.
We look forward to meeting you and will do our best to make your stay memorable.

What a fabulous place! My husband & I camped there for 2 nights & had the best ever camping experience. Louise & Geoff were very friendly, knowledgeable & warm people & made us feel right at home. This place is one of the best riverside places we’ve ever seen. There is something for everyone plus the heart of Port Mac is a short ferry ride across. We thoroughly enjoyed the farm animals, pool & jetty. Thank you to our lovely hosts & we’re definitely booked in to come again.

I had the most amazing stay at Koppin Valley Farm.
From the moment I arrived, it felt like a proper little escape — peaceful and beautiful.
The setting is stunning, sitting by the creek with a beer in hand looking up at the surrounding escarpments each in turn being washed in gold by the setting sun.
The host, Danielle, is incredibly welcoming, and she strikes the perfect balance between being friendly and giving you space to truly relax.
The farm itself is gorgeous and looks very well cared for — a real credit to
Danielle and her family.

We originally booked 2 nights but then extended to stay for 6
Fabulous grass area very well maintained and the perfect firepit with wood supplied.
Really enjoyed this spot..short walk to the beautiful river with steep access and a great swimming spot just down the road with easy access for all.
Great property really well maintained and one of the most friendly and helpful hosts we have met.
We will be back..thankyou Tom your a legend.

We can 100% say this is a truly beautiful place to camp, waist deep water in some spots, perfect for younger children to swim in. Very peaceful, and Louise the host meet us at the entry point and took us down to camping area. We will definitely return.

Highly recommended. Beautiful spot. Loved it. The owners are very relaxed lovely people. We had a stay a couple weeks ago and decided to go back for another stay with the kids. They also enjoyed it. Plenty for them to do.

We stayed over the Aus Day long weekend with 6 adults and 7 dogs! The camping areas were immaculate and spread far from the next. The firewood and huge fire pits provided fantastic.
Tom was extremely friendly and helpful, showing us where to fish and swim.
Our favourite was spending hours swimming at the Temagog Bridge.

All our group loved the Long Flat stay. Ground prep was immaculate. Stakes of firewood supplied with the biggest firepit I've ever seen. Plenty of shady trees. Finding the site was easy enough. It was hot, we found it easier to drive to the Temagog bridge and cool off in the river there (not far).

Amazing space, catered for all vehicles/setups large and small. We pulled up with 15m setup and spread out with 2 other cars. Perfect way to spend the Australia Day Longweekend! So many amazing swimming holes and waterfalls around. Definitely will be back!

Tom’s campsite, The Bend, was an absolute delight. The directions were clear and easy to follow, which made arriving stress‑free. Once there, I was genuinely impressed by how beautifully cared for the grounds were — everything felt clean, comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. Although we didn’t get to use it, there was plenty of firewood provided for a fire at night under the stars.
Tom himself is a standout host. He has a real wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and is more than happy to show you around or share tips on what to explore on his land. His passion for the place adds so much to the experience.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, well‑kept campsite with a host who truly goes above and beyond.

What a hidden gem! Across the river from Port sits this amazing little place, beautifully set up by Louise and Geoff. There are so many farm animals, and access to the pool and games room was a real bonus — the teenagers especially loved it. Having toilets, power, and water available made it feel just like a caravan park, but with a much more relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s a great base to explore Port or simply stay local for a swim or some fishing. We enjoyed it so much we booked an extra night.

It was amazing campsite. Louise and Geoff were so welcoming. It was more than a campsite. Total relaxation and quiet. Pool to swim in. Lovely little farm animals to feed and pat, great experience for kids. Large open spaced area and shady trees to read a book under. Totally recommend.

Lovely place! Make sure to follow the directions provided by the owner and not follow your gps blindly like we did as you will do a scenic dirt road hahaha with gps not understaning the easy ferry at the river. Owners very welcoming, kids enjoyed the pool, zipline, and the pool table. Great to have a clean toilet for camp guests. Caught some big bream of the jetty. Worth more than a one night stay!

Mark's property is well kept and Mark was very welcoming and friendly providing firewood. He was very responsive with questions and accomodating. I hope this hipcamp is around to stay for a long time as the site is excellent and we would love to stay here again.
