And others just simply LOVE this area and come back each year, and bring their dog! Guudji Yiigu Nyiirunang - Birpi for Welcome Everyone! while ... Teretulemast is an Estonian name, it means WELCOME. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! We hire it already setup, so all you have to do is turn up and move in! Ask us for more information if this interests you. We are off grid and live close to nature and enjoy the abundance that provides. We have been building and developing for the last few years. We are still a work in progress. There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! Heartwood Farm is a centrally located 120 acres on the Mid-North Coast - about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, only 1.5 kms off Pacific Highway, 25 mins to Port Macquarie, 15 Mins to Kempsey, 30 minutes to Crescent Head and 45 mins to South West Rocks. We are off grid and live close to nature and enjoy the abundance that provides. We have been building and developing for the last few years. We are still a work in progress. There are three Brumbies that live over the fence and 5 other horses that will no doubt come and say hello. They are all friendly, especially if you have a carrot. There are also a lot of kangaroos and wallabies, some quite friendly as they have been raised by our neighbour who does animal rescue. There are also a lot of different species of birds, including the much-loved Black Cockatoos which are in abundance here. We have also seen turtles, frilled neck lizards, diamond pythons, red belly black snakes (rarely) and goannas.

Great campsite by the river, the site was super well kept with clean toilets and enough activities for families to come along with kids and keep them entertained. The generosity of Rick and Cheryl was outstanding. My partner and I felt safe and was greatly appreciated of the hospitality. Firewood was offered once arrived and sites were clearly marked, with supplied fire pits. We had such a nice stay! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The site was amazing and we felt secluded yet secure. Our dog had the best time out of all of us. Very dog and kid friendly. Easy drive to the beach, and great spots to eat and have a coffee. The shower and toilet block made it feel like a glamping experience and we will definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Bundilla site 2 with power, it was a spacious grassy site close to toilets and river access. The river is amazing to swim and kayak in and was very refreshing and a great temperature! Kayaks are provided free of charge which is fantastic. The toilets are spotless and clean and we appreciated the herb garden which you are welcome to pick from. There are small fire pits for use at the camp site. Rick and Cheryl were both friendly and helpful and we'd love to visit again one day.

Enjoyed our stay at Bundilla, good size grassy spaces. Rick and Cheryl have done everything to make a camp here enjoyable including the cleanest long drop I have ever sat on with some quirky touches. A nice big grassy area for the kids with swings, boogie boards for the river rapids. Even picked a bit of lemongrass from the herb patch for a cuppa. I would say best suits a family get together with kids.

Camping by the river was wonderful and being able to launch our kayaks from beside our van made things very easy. Nice place to swim when it gets hot also helped although access a bit of a challenge. What a beautiful property, beautifully maintained, clean, tidy, very friendly hosts, the donga was very nice and the big verandah was very handy as we had other family members with small children camping with us, this made meal time outside very nice. Forested and beautiful, our 350 acre property inside Mount Boss State Forest is on forestry roads. We are a remote bush block 40 mins from Wauchope. Access is by competent 4 wheel drive, foot or horseback. We can cater to off road caravans and trailers and are a good option for pre journey gear shake downs, digital detox, nature embracing or practising for an appearance on Alone. This an experience for self sufficient campers seeking a complete detachment from the outside world and while we are always here to help, we would prefer you turn up able to cope with the conditions. The property is between two spurs in the Mt Banda Banda ridgeline -its a bowl. The northern section is temperate rainforest, the southern section is cleared with stands of regen and mature trees. Numerous springs, dams and creeks, plenty of pristine water. Wildlife is everywhere, yabbies, eels, frogs, birds, reptiles and marsupials including koalas. There are also horses, poultry and dogs, therefore, no pets permitted. Campsites are varied, depending on your set up and location preferences there, rain forest creek to high peak lookouts. Fire wood is freely available, we are happy to advise our requirements around any fires to be lit on the property. Weather changes considerably across the year. The current winter so far has been damp and cold, its the mountains, we get frosts. I think this is glorious and if you enjoy temperatures below 4 degrees, frosty mornings at the fire, giant sapphire skies, and crystal sunny days, then its prefect.... Possibly spring would be the thing? There are blossoms and blue sky, and the bees start moving. Or summer, forest swimming pools...... There are always dams, creeks, hills, forests, to explore, and also the rare option of doing absolutely nothing on a sunny afternoon when all that happens is one plane flies over, a far away silver streak..... The property has no functional mobile reception. High speed Wi-Fi is available free of charge, along with standard bush internet cafe facilities, (run down caravan, squawking geese, very strong coffee). Please be aware when booking that this is a bush block, it is wild. If you come out and ask for a refund because the grass is long I will laugh at you. Self sufficent wild folk only.

Here you can set up your base camp to safely leave and do day trips to get out and explore the beautiful surrounding area. Only 45 min from Port Macquarie, 30 min to Wauchope and just 10 min to Long Flat where there's a Pub for takeaway, a social drink as well as food and sometimes live music on weekends. The General Store has general supplies, takeaway, PO and fuel. Retaining the peace and tranquillity of our property is important to us and why the number of sites and campers is limited. Although there are designated camping spots we're happy to be flexible if you arrive and would like to relocate within our extensive 'camping area' ...depending on weather conditions and respecting the personal space of other campers. We have livestock (currently horses) running throughout the property - some can be very friendly but please don't approach or feed them. We prefer no dogs but will allow if dogs remain well controlled, tethered or on a leash - this is for the safety of your pet as well as the livestock and wildlife. You will see and hear all kinds of wildlife, particularly morning and evening when they are most active. There are no amenities, rubbish or water facilities so come prepared, take what you brought and leave it as you found it. There is one only port-a-loo with pop-up-tent available for hire if required. You are welcome to take a walk or pushbike and enjoy the peace and nature but please no driving of vehicles or use of motorcycles or quads. PLEASE NOTE: Fire restrictions from September 1st and usually continue during Summer. Fire Permits are not required for fires for the purpose of cooking food, provided that: 1. the fire is in a permanently constructed fireplace. Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry. In the hinterland of the Mid North Coast NSW on Biripi Country. The Bulga Plateau is the place to unwind, swim in mountain rivers and enjoy the Old Growth forests (yes we still have a few left Balgarr means mountain in local Gattang language. 600 metres above sea level on clear nights it feels like you are close enough to touch the Milky Way! The cabin is off grid, includes a small kitchenette with 2 burner gas stove, fridge, has double bed and 2 single beds. We have a BBQ and fire pit. This is rustic living, no flash flush here but a practical long drop eco-friendly compost toilet and a fantastic gas hot water shower out in the elements! You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows sheets etc. we are on tank water and at times it is low! Dogs are welcome but please bring their own bedding. The property is also home to local wildlife and filled with lots of old trees, plants and flowers whilst enjoy your morning cuppa on the balcony As we are 45 minutes from the closest town, you will need to fuel up before you head up the mountain. Also bring drinking water and all the food you will require for your stay. The Elands general store carries basic groceries, beer wine and spirits. Loads of walking tracks nearby; the Legendary Ellenborough Falls is 5 mins by car or half hour walk through the Elands Village Hour and half from Port Macquarie and Forster and one hour from Taree in the hinterland from Wingham or Comboyne (coming from Port Macquarie). There is an endless network of gravel roads and fire trails waiting to be explored, taking you through the national parks, state forests and undulating farmlands of the Bulga Plateau. This delightful self contained cabin is a perfect getaway for you to work on your project, (longer stays can be negotiated) be it visual art; a book; a film script; photography or simply forest breathing to clear the mind. Blue Knob (Kaoraoa) at 1014 metres, is one of the highest peaks in the forest with Panoramic Plateau Views of the surrounding country. 40 mins by car. I'm retired now and appreciate even more, living in paradise. The usually good amount of rain, the ever warmer summers when we can swim in the Ellenborough River. Yes after 40 years on the Bulga I can feel the changes in the environment, Come and enjoy!

Lavender Hill is a 34 acre property on the outskirts of the historic town of Wingham. Since purchasing the property in 2021, we are developing permaculture gardens, a fruit orchard and a camping area with a small herb garden, where we lived in a caravan for 9 months. Lavender Hill is our home and we ask campers to respect our property and our neighbours. The converted hay shed provides an undercover area with a table and chairs. It is wheelchair accessible. A gas BBQ is available for an extra cost per night. Firewood is supplied at arrival and more can be purchased. Nearby, there is a composting toilet and hot shower, with a stunning view! (not wheelchair accessible, sorry). Water is available for washing up, but not suitable for drinking or cooking. The price listed is for 2 adults. Please talk with us about family rates. We have a small herd of cows, chickens, 1 rooster and a farm cat called Pippa. Eastern grey kangaroos graze in nearby paddocks in the early morning. Birdsong fills the morning air. From the camping area, and many areas on the property, you can see the Comboyne mountain range changing colour throughout the day. Everywhere you look, you can enjoy beautiful views. See 360 degree sunrises, misty mornings, stunning sunsets and the magnificent night sky. Evenings, mornings and nights are peaceful and quiet, although you might hear the lowing of the cows or the rooster staking his territory if you wake at night. Paths are slashed through the paddocks if you want to enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride around the property. Enjoy a range of fresh produce including an organic range from local shops in Wingham, delicious meat from local butchers, sourdough bread, health foods and great coffee, meals and gifts from popular local cafes and shops, and if our chickens are laying, some fresh eggs. Launch your boat onto the Manning River in Wingham, and explore the National Parks that are within an hours drive, including Ellenborough Falls and cafe. Fall in love with Wingham and the Manning Valley as you explore on day trips to Gloucester, Wauchope, Old Bar, Blackhead and Forster. Please note: We are near the sporting complex, where they race go carts, and near the rifle range, which can generate some noise some days between 9am and 4.30pm.
