Kangarutha Farm is a nature-based destination set on a stunning coastal estate, minutes from Tathra. Bordering Bournda National Park, the property features expansive tracts of pristine native forest, wide-open paddocks, and scenic dams. The farm offers a small number of secluded, tranquil campsites scattered across the property. Perfect for those seeking peace and privacy, the sites provide space to relax around a campfire and immerse yourself in the natural bush and paddock surrounds. We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower in a central location a short walk from the campsites. We have a small campers amenities room with a basic kitchen (i.e. a sink, power, kettle, small fridge, microwave) and dining table and chairs, which is a place to do your dishes or shelter in rainy weather. There are also other outdoor pavilions in the central areas on the property. Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. 376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds. The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views. in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). If you have queries regarding access check photos in gallery or please ask me. Flushing toilet on site. Dogs permitted. Good telephone and internet reception. Ideal for flying your new drone.

Space, privacy, wilderness, quiet. Stunning views across the Bega Valley, looking over the culturally significant sites of Biamanga and Guluga. A beef farm, with significant ecological diversity. You will be surrounded by wildlife - wallabies, wombats, and echidnas, with a vast array of bird life. Our cows are raised to be super friendly, perfect for children to pat and hand feed. We also have horses that will wander by hoping for an apple or carrot. Walk through native woodland forests, enjoy the views, and if you have a four wheel drive explore down to our fresh water creek deep in the valley. The most accessible camping locations are along the private bitumen road that winds across the hilltops, providing easy access. Other locations can be chosen, that are tucked away in the wilderness. The beach is half an hour away, and you can catch glimpses of the ocean (just) from various places on the farm. The night sky is breathtaking, with no light pollution, and the quiet (other than the wildlife) is serene. We love guests and look forward to hosting you and your family.

Private, spacious campsites with firepits. Central amenities (toilets and one hot shower). 5-minute drive to Tathra Beach. We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track. Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs. Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you. Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping! We also have recently launched a new venue 'The Nursery' at Kangarutha Farm, so consider holding your next event at Kangarutha! Contact us for details. We are committed to making our business more sustainable. We encourage minimum impact camping, we have rubbish and recycling collection and composting facilities.

Full privacy with only one group per secluded site. Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba (Kiah) River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions. Site #1 (near) Boatramp has NO facilities so you must be self-contained. Site #2 Main Site offers a composting toilet. Both sites have access to fresh water and are suitable for caravans as well as tents. We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share! Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river. Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily. Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water. Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network. PLEASE NOTE: the property is currently listed for sale. We are happy to take forward bookings with this understanding and will contact all booked parties well in advance if we sell. The market is very slow so we do not expect a fast sale and will ask for a long settlement so please still book :)
