The campsites are nestled in the groves of trees next to the creek. There's some great swimming spots, or you can go for a bushwalk and do a spot of fossicking on the water's edge.
Some parts of our property are 4WD access only, but we also have good camping spots that can accommodate 2WDs.

Loved this spot, right on the river and 3 mins drive to the beach. Grass wasn't the nicest to walk on barefoot but there were no prickles etc even our toddler was barefoot. Owner was easy going, but still ready to deal with some rowdy neighbours cranking music.

I liked the openness and big wide skies over this property. It is across the road from a large river & a short drive to a good long stretch of beach that I think is unpatrolled and doesn’t have many people there even in the summer holiday period.

We had a great time with our doggo at Swan Lake. The camp area itself is lovely and flat, and although it’s a steep walk back up the hill about 100m to use the amenities there is a lovely outdoor hot&cold shower and a flushing loo to use, both with privacy screens. We can highly recommend the baths for a cool-off on a hot day, and a trip to nearby Yates Crossing for a picnic and a quick dip. Note reception was patchy in the area for us (both Telstra carriers) but we were offered use of wifi up at the homestead if we needed it. Shanti was very friendly and helpful. Would love to go back in the colder months to get use of the fire!

The most stunning views at Romeo and Juliet, a perfect little outcropping overlooking the river.
You really feel like you have the whole place to yourself, this is not a hipcamp where you’re shoulder to shoulder with other campers - isolated bliss!

We had a great time camping in this beautiful part of northern NSW. The hosts were very helpful when we arrived and the animals on the site were very friendly. This camp-site is also very close to the local town which made things even easier. We would happily stay there again.

Great spot, quiet location, the beach is secluded and only a few minutes drive. We have a large caravan but was able to level it easy with some drive on wheel chocs. Would def stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karen’s Hipcamp. We were self contained & camped up in the top area. We had an amazing view of the farm, dams & would watch the horses grazing each afternoon. The area was lush, quiet & peaceful and was only a short drive to beaches, shops & hotels. The horses on the farm were very friendly & we loved patting them. Mooball was only a 5 min drive away & there was a family friendly pub (with pool) and the Rail trail bike track was an added bonus. We look forward to returning here with family/friends soon and highly recommend this hipcamp. Thank you Karen

Stayed here for one night, owner met us upon arrival and showed us the camping area. Camping area is a mowed cane area surrounded by sugar cane fields.
Ballina roughly 25mins away.
Dog friendly beach only minutes away.
River directly opposite the property if you wish to fish.
Good location for our one night stay.

Beautiful land with the most adorable little ponies and horses. Definitely recommend stopping by (as well as rocking up with at least a little bit of daylight left - host was very accommodating but since you can park anywhere and there are a few small water bodies, it's better to arrive before night fall).

We stayed for 2x nights in a tent. Beautiful spot, short drive to Potsville for swimming. The view over the farm is fantastic, and extra special having the horses free roaming amoung the tents, they were so friendly and easy to pat. Daughters loved it. Pretty open and grassy so bring a canape if you want some shade.

It was just what we needed. an overnight stop on a long road trip, no fuss, peaceful, flat space with views of the river over the road. Paul guided us in and left us to it. There is no shade, but it wast a problem for us. Perfect for our needs. The rooster had a bit to say in the morning, but not a big deal.

Wow, words can not do justice the amazing time we had at the Ranch! The river views, the hospitality, the tranquility & the fire baths were just magical. Shanti has truly created a slice of heaven out there.
For the icing on the cake, make sure to book the horse trek + swim.. i’ve done many treks in my life and this was the best. Plenty of trotting and cantering through stunning scenery, finished by a swim with the horses. Shanti’s way with horses is so special to witness, you can tell they love her as much as she loves them.
We will be back, with friends in tow.
