The available area is mostly flat, suitable for tents, camper trailer, or vans. On the site you can have multiple tents/vans to fit your group up to 8 people.
Our property is just 30mins from Windsor, in the beautiful Hawkesbury Region. You'll arrive via 2.5km of winding dirt road, suitable for 2wd, subject to potholes after heavy rain. The road may not be suitable for larger vans due to a few tight corners.

Do not light a fire without approval from owners. Approval for a fire is dependent on weather, conditions, and restrictions. Fires must be kept small. No chainsaws or generators. No Pets. The easiest way to get to Cockatoo Island is by public ferry. The F3 and F8 services operate to Cockatoo Island daily, departing from Circular Quay and Barangaroo as well as from wharves along Parramatta River. Note: There is no vehicle access to or on the island.

The available area is mostly flat, suitable for tents, camper trailer, or vans. On the site you can have multiple tents/vans to fit your group up to 8 people.
Our property is just 30mins from Windsor, in the beautiful Hawkesbury Region. You'll arrive via 2.5km of winding dirt road, suitable for 2wd, subject to potholes after heavy rain. The road may not be suitable for larger vans due to a few tight corners.
Camping Rules:
Do not light a fire without approval from owners. Approval for a fire is dependent on weather, conditions, and restrictions. Fires must be kept small. No chainsaws or generators. No Pets. No Parties or Extra Guests without approval. Do not drive or park in sign posted areas. Reduce noise after 11pm. Leave the bathroom clean. No littering. Dispose of rubbish in the bins on WBR Road

ACCESSING THE ISLAND
The easiest way to get to Cockatoo Island is by public ferry. The F3 and F8 services operate to Cockatoo Island daily, departing from Circular Quay and Barangaroo as well as from wharves along Parramatta River. Note: There is no vehicle access to or on the island.

Camping, but with lovely comforts! Love the bathtub, the outdoor shower, the birds and the slight view of the escarpment especially during sunset. Didn’t end up going down to the swimming hole as I don’t like leeches (my partner got one), but the sound of the running creek was nice. Chad gave some good tips for other sights as well. Will definitely stay again. Thanks so much Chad.

We loved our stay at Nos Astra for 2 nights. The views are amazing, seclusion at its finest. We had fun exploring the property and the stars at night were next level. The cabin itself could benefit from a little bit of love and you are at the mercy of the previous guests regarding the cleanliness of the of the cabin. Overall we loved it.

Like comment’s already written , we loved our stay here , was so peaceful .
We suppose to stay three night but had to make our way home after two nights due to caravan issue.
The directions were simple, roads in were great.
We will be definitely return here again .

Our family had the most wonderful stay at The Rosewood. We travelled with two children aged 7 and 4, and it was absolutely perfect for a family getaway.
The bell tent was very comfortable, with a double/queen bed for us and two single mattresses on the floor for the kids. There was a dining table inside the tent and a Weber BBQ outside, which we used for both breakfast and dinner — such a great setup.
The private shower, toilet, fridge and kettle were located in the main house out the back, around a short walk from the tent (approximately 50 metres). It was private and well set up.
One of our favourite experiences was the fireplace by the river, where we enjoyed making s’mores and marshmallows with the kids (we brought our own lighters and fire starters). The campsite is right beside the creek and offered plenty of opportunities for exploring. The terrain isn’t flat, so just something to be mindful of, but we did find a lovely section with running water very close to the camp that was perfect for the kids to play in.
The absolute highlight of our stay was meeting the animals — the goats Bon Bon, Cutlet and Cookie, and the alpacas Humphrey and Marshall. We were lucky enough to help with feeding time, and the kids still talk about it as the best part of the trip.
The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to families.
