Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Brazenhead is a 15 minute drive to the closest shops, 20 minutes into Bathurst, 30 minutes from Sofala and 1 hour from the historic Hill End. There is ample space for groups, with wide open spaces but also plenty of trees for shade. Fires are permitted in the spots provided and according to local fire restrictions. The creek is a good spot to try some gold panning, go exploring and also has some deep swimming holes for you to enjoy. Pitch your tent or pull up your camping vehicle next to our creek! You will have complete privacy, only the kangaroos and other wildlife to share your trip with. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around, kick a ball, play some cricket, or go exploring along the creek during the day. In the evenings everyone can sit and relax in the quiet in front of a campfire. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. The campsite is 2WD accessible with plenty of room and flat space to camp on. Not far from our property you can find the Bridle Track, which is very well known by 4WD enthusiasts. It was originally built as the first road between Bathurst and Hill End during the gold rush era, and was given its name due to horsemen having to dismount and guide their horses by the bridle through the very narrow sections. If you visit in November you may be here for the annual Marmalade Festival, with good weather, musicians, stalls and of course jams and marmalades! No pets please.

If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

Road access to site is suitable for 2WD in dry weather. It is a short, steep drop with two tight corners not suitable for large caravans and RVs. The site has a newly constructed long drop toilet, pets are allowed and bring your own firewood to ensure you have enough as it's becoming scarce around the site. Please take all rubbish with you. Please note: Kids under 12 are free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please still add them to the booking as they will not be charged. What is not allowed: shooters and trappers, illegal fishing, motor bikes, quad bikes and other noisy machines! Killongbutta Road runs off Freemantle Road and is 36 kms from Bathurst. It is 40 kilometres from Orange through Gowan Road that joins Lower Lewis Ponds Road. For your information, On the Stone is a podcast and publishing studio that produces a quarterly magazine for the Freemantle Road community. We have local history to share and can always provide information about our services. Natural bushland consisting of 80 acres with the Crudine River along the boundary. We are part of the Sofala gold rush history (from the 1850s), sit back and imagine gold miners and their families camped along the banks. There are two campsites, Camp Crudine Kitchen and Camp Crudine Riverside. When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Dogs are welcome but they must be supervised and under control at all times. The owner has livestock on the property which must be respected at all times.

Looking for some peace and tranquility? We'd love for you to enjoy a spot in front of our creek on our 53 acre property, Brazenhead, which is surrounded by 1.3kms of the Winburndale Rivulet. Brazenhead is a 15 minute drive to the closest shops, 20 minutes into Bathurst, 30 minutes from Sofala and 1 hour from the historic Hill End. There is ample space for groups, with wide open spaces but also plenty of trees for shade. Fires are permitted in the spots provided and according to local fire restrictions. The creek is a good spot to try some gold panning, go exploring and also has some deep swimming holes for you to enjoy. Pitch your tent or pull up your camping vehicle next to our creek! You will have complete privacy, only the kangaroos and other wildlife to share your trip with. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around, kick a ball, play some cricket, or go exploring along the creek during the day. In the evenings everyone can sit and relax in the quiet in front of a campfire. We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. The campsite is 2WD accessible with plenty of room and flat space to camp on. Not far from our property you can find the Bridle Track, which is very well known by 4WD enthusiasts. It was originally built as the first road between Bathurst and Hill End during the gold rush era, and was given its name due to horsemen having to dismount and guide their horses by the bridle through the very narrow sections. If you visit in November you may be here for the annual Marmalade Festival, with good weather, musicians, stalls and of course jams and marmalades! No pets please.

Artisans Park is a farm set on top of a mountain which is sometimes windy sometimes snowing and being a farm we have animals and spiders and everything that nature includes note we can not control the weather or nature, there are no local coffee shops, we are not connected to the electricity. This is a camping site and our stays are like camping all heating is wood hot water is gas and lights are solar, No TV no power points no fancy appliances. If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

Old Bara is a stunning cattle property, often described as truly magical. Camp next to the creek and dogs are welcome! Old Bara offers so much more than just a place to park. Suitable for all size vehicles/vans/tents. We have great loos, voted as "the best in Australia" however, we do not have showers or powered sites. Many sites available, avoid the crowds, we do not over crowd our campers. Only 25 mins easy drive to all the wonderful Mudgee wineries, cafes and restaurants. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries. Give the kids a screen free holiday! Dogs are welcome as long as they on leads at all times except in the off leash paddock.

It’s a place where time stands still. Enabling you to reconnect with nature as you slow down and embrace the sounds of the river, wildlife and sheoaks when they ‘whisper secrets to the wind’. Many stories and dreamings have come from this place which guarantees to inspire your imagination as an artist, writer, poet or musician. You have access to 100 acres of bushland or enjoy a walk along Killongbutta Road which winds its way through spectacular Wiradjuri country where ancient stone quarries, corroboree sites and a warrior’s grave have been found. Platypus, water dragons and river rats all live in the river. Be prepared to share the site with wombats who have burrowed their homes into the banks. Road access to site is suitable for 2WD in dry weather. It is a short, steep drop with two tight corners not suitable for large caravans and RVs. The site has a newly constructed long drop toilet, pets are allowed and bring your own firewood to ensure you have enough as it's becoming scarce around the site. Please take all rubbish with you. Please note: Kids under 12 are free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please still add them to the booking as they will not be charged. What is not allowed: shooters and trappers, illegal fishing, motor bikes, quad bikes and other noisy machines! Killongbutta Road runs off Freemantle Road and is 36 kms from Bathurst. It is 40 kilometres from Orange through Gowan Road that joins Lower Lewis Ponds Road. For your information, On the Stone is a podcast and publishing studio that produces a quarterly magazine for the Freemantle Road community. We have local history to share and can always provide information about our services. Located approximately 40 mins from Bathurst the camp is the ideal location to enjoy the tranquility of the bush. 4WD access ONLY Suitable for off-road camper trailers, tents and swags. Natural bushland consisting of 80 acres with the Crudine River along the boundary. We are part of the Sofala gold rush history (from the 1850s), sit back and imagine gold miners and their families camped along the banks. There are two campsites, Camp Crudine Kitchen and Camp Crudine Riverside. When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Dogs are welcome but they must be supervised and under control at all times. The owner has livestock on the property which must be respected at all times.

Our property is a mixture of pasture & bush, with various campsites situated either on the Fish River or secluded bush sites. There are numerous secluded sites and ample room for exploring the scrub, rocks and river. We move the campsites around depending on water levels and the size of the group booking. ******Access to all sites is 4WD only (not AWD),including your van and may require a river crossing. **** Access to the sites is at your own risk- Please assess the track prior to heading down if you are at all concerned camp up the top. Tar sealed road all the way to the front gate and then only 150metres in on farm to your campsite on a very well-maintained road suitable for ALL vehicles. We have wide gate access to suit all vehicles/trailers of any size to go in and out and all sites are grassy and level. Great spot to relax, chill and take in the amazing country air and surroundings, relax by a fire, cook marshmallows or a camp oven feast. Walk down to the edge of this campsite and listen to the creek trickle past, go bushwalking, listen to the birds and watch the Kangaroos. Damien & Tammie were very welcoming and friendly and happy to have a chat about the history of there property. We had an awesome time at Hatton Airstrip. After a down hill drive to get to the river we were so happy with the beautiful setting. Green grass, flat, right next to the beautiful river and plenty of room as the sites are spread out. Perfect for big group bookings or single/couple bookings. We had Lama's and horses roaming around us also. Peaceful and just perfect. Getting back out was a fun challenge and definately 4wd is a must. We towed our 15' off road caravan and had no problems. Will definately recommend and will be back, 2 nights was not enough👌

We had a very lovely stay at Turon Gates. The place was very clean and well taken cared off. The toilets and showers are very convenient and clean. There’s a couple of sink that can be used to clean utensils with potable water. Wildlife’s great! The horses came around to greet everyone. We spotted kangaroos, sheep, kookaburras and goats. The river’s clean and a great place to have a swim. We surely will be back

The host had impeccable communication, messaging us the day prior to our stay letting us know about the fires near buy and offered a refund. We initially chose to stay away, then changed our mind the day of our stay and we were still giving a refund. Very kind when really they didn't have too.

The deep spot is perfect for a dip or even throw in a kayak. Beautiful spot right by the river. Made friends with the horses, alpacas, spotted a deer on the other side, and two platypus in the morning. Beautiful country and a beautiful camp, plenty of fun and looking forward to another visit soon!

We booked the entire beach site for our family gathering. It was a brilliant weekend. Vanessa was very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. The campsite was beautiful and clean. The kids (big and little) had so much fun exploring the river. Loved sitting with a coffee in the morning enjoying the rich bird life. Saw a big old wombat and enjoyed watching the horses playing in the river on their daily visit. Very peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit.

4 nights at Watton Airstrip

We had such a wonderful four days at Watton Airstrip that we decided to stay another four. Tammie and Damo were the most incredible hosts—nothing was ever too much trouble. The road in is definitely 4WD territory, so make sure you air down to around 25 at the check-in point. There are plenty of sites to choose from depending on the experience you’re after. We chose Rivers Edge for the seclusion, and it delivered beautifully. In hindsight, we probably would have enjoyed The Rapids even more as it’s right at the end—but then we might have missed the platypus! Our favourite overall would have to be Hog Heaven, although the solar would have struggled there, and it’s close to Deep Spot, which seems to be popular (so a little less secluded). We were completely solo for four nights with no one around except the horses and llamas. We were lucky enough to see so many animals that others don’t always get the chance to—ducks, llamas, horses, a fox, deer, snake, platypus, emu, kangaroos, wallabies, and even cod in the river. All were a treat to see… although the fox was relentless at night trying to sniff out food! And yes, the flies were next-level—but hey, that’s camping. Phone service is not great, but we had Starlink, so no issues at all (especially handy with a uni assignment due). I was a little stressed thinking about towing the van back out, but Tammie and Damo gave such clear directions that it ended up being fine. I’m already planning the next visit!

Amazing property with room to explore and views in all directions. The host was extremely accommodating with great communication. There was plenty of open space to setup camp with immediate access to the river. The large property provides a private experience which allows you to relax in your own peace and quiet. Deep holes and rocky shallows offered a place to cool off in the heat of the day as well as great fishing for anglers. Looking forward to returning.
