The hosts are outstanding people. Very approachable and knowledgeable of their property. A quick drive through the property and you can see the effort put into helping everyone explore the picturesque landscape. Most tracks to explore are aimed for beginners appropriately. With gentle obstacles for the more experienced drivers. A hidden valley to find will open up to a flowing Bow River after a short walk. Not enough time, will need to return to the seclusion. Although there were other campers. We didn’t cross one in 3 days.

We had a terrific night stay at Eagles View. The campsite it self is flat, has an in ground fire pit and amazing almost 360° views. It was a clear, calm starry night we presented us with an epic night sky. We also drove the outback 4WD track which was fun. David is a personable host. He guided us to our site, gave us plenty of info on the property and checked in on us before we left. I would highly recommend this site to anyone.

We loved our stay at Hillside Camp, we stayed at both the Gully View and Kangaroo Camp sites, we really enjoyed both sites they are very well maintained and so much space. Dave was a great host, we helpful and friendly. We loved the river, bush walks and 4WD tracks, the addition of the maps was very helpful. Such a beautiful property, we will definitely be back! Absolutely fell in love with this property. Sites are huge and secluded and the property in general boasts some of the best views. We were able to explore with our 4WD some amazing tracks not to mention caves and the breath taking : Bow River which runs through the property. The signage around Dave’s 2000 acres is incredible, you couldn’t get lost if you tried. Host Dave was incredible and super helpful with suggestions, water and firewood. Thanks again mate for the stunning weeek.

We can’t recommend Gully View enough as this was the BEST Hipcamps we have stayed at. Our site was a huge clean, private area with fire pit and toilet. There was so many different camp sites for all types of campers. David was so helpful, friendly and easygoing, with great communication before our arrival and during our stay. We loved chatting about the history of his farm also. There was so much to explore, with tracks mapped out for all levels of AWD and 4WD. The walk along Bow River was so beautiful, with endless amount of caves to explore throughout the property. The view from the lookout was absolutely amazing, reached from a fun easy 4wd track. Gully View has so much to see and yet so relaxing as well. Very dog friendly. This place is worth every cent, and we can’t wait to return. Thanks David for a fantastic three night stay

David’s property was fantastic! He has well thought out, level, spaced out campsites that are to excellent and spacious. The 4wd tracks on the property are excellent as you weave through the beautiful changing land scape with some breath taking views. David was an excellent host and we will definitely be returning to his picturesque property.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Pine Ridge site at Hillside. Dave was an excellent host. The site and property were really well maintained and clean, with great signage. The river was beautiful with the kids spending hours playing and exploring the caves. The 4WD tracks were a lot of fun too! We can’t wait to come back!

There’s plenty of space for campers to spread out, so you’re never on top of anyone. The kids had a blast playing soccer and running wild without disturbing a soul. The river’s perfect for a paddle, and there’s even a bit of light 4WDing if you’re keen for some fun. Peaceful, spacious, and beautifully simple. Dave was an awesome host—friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great stay at the Eagles View site. High up on top of a hill it is a huge space with 340 degree views. A big tree for shade was great. We enjoyed exploring the property and driving all the tracks, walking the Cave Walk and down to Bow River. This is a great property to stay at if you don't want to be around others as the sites are spread out and some completely isolated. Dave is a great host and very friendly, he gave us all the info we needed.

Great property to visit out west. Lots of good quiet campsites within the serenity of nature. An abundance or wildlife such birds Eagles and kangaroos inhabit the setting with you. This was a huge property with the added bonus of lots of mapped tracks to explore if in a 4x4. Only 20mins out of the main town of Merriwa, there is some local heritage to explore also. Host David was very pleasant and easy to deal with upon arrival. Definitely recommend 👌

Such a beautiful property that David and Lisa are sharing. Each side is far away from thr others and seriously think you've got whole place to yourself. A lot of effort at each site with portloo making things easy. Stunning walks all marked out and the caves are great. I highly recommend camping here. We'll be back.like a private national park. Lots of Kangaroos and birds.

We loved camping at Eagle Ridge. The views were spectacular and the site is well looked after. David’s signs were thoughtfully placed, providing helpful directions to each site. David clearly takes great pride in maintaining the property and makes sure you settle into your camping spot. Our site was stocked with fire wood and the portaloo was clean. We couldn’t have asked for more. We briefly explored the rest of the property and look forward to returning again.

The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 17 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. There is an abundance of wildlife to see. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley, which has walking trail access to the Bow River. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Most Campsites now have toilets. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

We looked for alternative ways of living 6 years ago so we purchased 220 acres to build an off grid camping/eco resort. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system. The facilities of the camping are quite luxurious some guests labelling them "better than at home" so you can enjoy the bush experience & still have the comfort of a home. Here you can discover amazing wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, cockatoos, lyre birds and a lot of other birds (designated bird drinking stations through a WIRES program which has a lot of success.) Bring a camera and take in the incredible sights such as wildlife, cliffs, caves, and a magical view of Mount Yengo and Moruben from the top of the property. They are designated walking tracks around the property with all variable lengths & difficulties. Large roomy grassy ALL FLAT level campsites, so great to get away camping with friends or family. Beelisco Honey Hipcamp camping spot is set on 300acres located in the beautiful valley of Baerami Creek and surrounded by the amazing mountain views of Wollemi National Park. We are located just off the Bylong Valley Way, so a great spot to spend a night or two if travelling through. There are some amazing mountain views and a very tranquil peaceful camping spot. Tar sealed road all the way to the front gate and then only 150metres in on farm to your campsite on a very well-maintained road suitable for ALL vehicles. We have wide gate access to suit all vehicles/trailers of any size to go in and out and all sites are grassy and level. Great spot to relax, chill and take in the amazing country air and surroundings, relax by a fire, cook marshmallows or a camp oven feast. Walk down to the edge of this campsite and listen to the creek trickle past, go bushwalking, listen to the birds and watch the Kangaroos. Of a night you will be amazed at how many stars you can see, it is just beautiful, so don't forget to look up. Please put in ‘Beelisco Honey’ into google maps to see how far we are from you. Our farm is a family run business with Husband, wife and 2 young boys, we run horses and cattle all year round and grow Lucerne hay on a few large flats around the farm.
