If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler. Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road. You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.

Weekend Trip to Barachi by the Creek

Barachi by the creek is an absolutely magical place. Peaceful, secluded and surrounded by natural beauty while giving you everything you need for a trip away without all the mod cons. Pete and Tania are speedy and effective in communication and are awesome hosts. Cannot recommend this enough. You will not regret your decision to book. Bit of a walk down and back up but that was part of the charm. Earn your holiday!

Weekend Trip to Barachi by the Creek

We had the most incredible night at Peter and Tania's cabin! The cabin was so decked out with everything we needed and the beds were comfier than the ones at home! The dog and the kids loved the creek, we hiked and explored the paddocks :) A big storm rolled in and we all watched the lighting from the porch and all slept so cozy with rain on the tin roof! Solar shower was perfect to give everyone a wash! Beautiful property and very private, we will most certainly come back again! Peter was so easy to communicate with and made sure we were all set. Great experience thanks so much 🙏🏼

2 nights at Barachi by the Creek

This was a great place to stay for our family, which included our dog who could roam around and was really happy. We loved the serenity, exploring the creek/surrounds and unplugging from technology - cards and Yahtzee are a must! The barbecue was great for cooking and I recommend doing a fire at night. The accommodation is as described and I would definitely recommend the buggy ride down/back for luggage. If you do want to go back to your car and do some exploring around Modenville, it is a fair walk (30-35 mins) from the shack so be aware of that if you have younger kids or are not that mobile you probably just want to hang out down at the shack. Only small negative was the shower was pretty basic. Peter and Tania were great as well, make sure you have a chat and ask any questions. Overall - highly recommended.

My wife’s sister came to visit from Canada, and this place was perfect for our whole family to travel together. There were no disturbances at all, and it was a private space just for our family to relax and enjoy, which we really loved. There are many nice areas nearby, making it a great location for light sightseeing and enjoying delicious food. Also, the amazing sunsets and stars visible from the dome tent gave us a perfect escape from the tiring city life. If we get the chance again, we would definitely love to visit again.

Jane has created a truly unique property with her two dome tents in Dunoon. It was so much fun just being there and seeing the incredible views from the dome and the central covered kitchen / lounge area. The sunsets are amazing! After camping for over a week prior to getting to the domes, it was so luxurious being able to have a proper shower, flushing toilet and comfy bed and huge couch to savour the evening skies. Really interesting and unique place. ❤️

We were upgraded from a cabin to a glamping tent and had such a wonderful time with the family. The pool and little water park is perfect for kids and everything was lovely and clean and well looked after. Amazing friendly staff and everything you needed. Will definitely be going back.

Absolutely loved our stay! The domes were stunning – super spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly well equipped - as was the amazing kitchen outdoor kitchen. Private and peaceful with gorgeous views, yet still in a perfect location. Couldn’t ask for more!

This is the sweetest spot! Tucked in amongst hills and paddocks, private and peaceful. The dog had the best time too. Creek, cows, birds, and quiet. Only regret is not staying longer. Would love to go back.

Absolute perfection. Peaceful, abundance of wildlife, beautiful creek and the shack is the ultimate rustic cabin experience. I couldn't stop smiling. It felt like we were in a scene from Man from Snowy River. Absolutely beautiful! Tania and Peter are such a lovely couple who have thought about everything you may need. They know the terraine better then anyone and ensured we got to the cabin and home from the cabin safely. This is definitely a place that we will be coming back to again and again and would recommend this to anyone who wants to step away from everything and do nothing but relax. Our 10 & 12 yo kids can not wait to come back and neither can we. Thanks again Peter and Tania. Was so perfect!
