Closest hip camp to Dubbo township and Zoo. 5 to 7 kms to Zoo and Town centre. 5 minute drive to the Zoo. 5kms to 27 hole golf course. 3 kms to Delroy Park Shopping centre. Some days you can hear the lions and monkeys from the zoo Lots of Kangaroos on site. Lots of Birdlife ( Eastern Rosellas , Grass Parrots, Willy Wag Tails, Kestrals , Currawongs, Quail , Kookaburras, Magpies , Blue wrens etc). Land was previously a sheep station but nature is slowly reclaiming it. We have been here six years and have seen hundreds of native trees come back through not overgrazing and fencing off bushland. Dry sandy creek bed (good for kids to explore) , except during floods. Lots of shady gumtrees. 2km grassy walk around fence line for those looking to exercise during their stay.

Our dog loved this walk and it was very cool under the trees by the creek for an Arvo drink after a long travel day. Huge site with a fire pit. Easy access for caravans. Flat site. Sally and Pete have an amazing setup here, picnic table, shelter with lighting and bore water, outdoor baths, shower... and soon a toilet. Located immediately off the highway it's location is extremely convenient. Highly recommend stopping at Johnson's gourmet butcher for an amazing piece of meat and bbq in your own little piece of paradise.

Sally was very helpful and quick to respond to our last minute request, and on arrival Peter came over and went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed on a cool and rainy evening. The shelter and other facilities were very useful, with the campsite tucked away from the Newell Highway. There is a bit of road noise still, but it proved to be an excellent option for our overnight stop.

We spent 3 days here and it was lovely! The amenities including a shower were very clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water (just need to move the cute little frogs along before use). Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you ask them for a tasting at the distillery while you’re there. There’s a free camp down the road, but this farm is ideal if you want a little more privacy and security.

1 night at Cobbora Station

Sally was quick to respond to booking and was so accommodating. As we turned up to a 50km/hr wind she offered for us to tuck in behind the shearing shed. Even though we didn't get to experience the back property, we loved the birds and serenity. A little bit of highway noise early evening but ok overnight. Thank you!

1 night at YARRALLA on the Marthaguy

Beautiful location!! We came in late with kids and were graciously let in to rest. We didn’t use the super cute amenities but there is a wood fire bath duet that looked amazing…. Bring wine and cheese (you won’t regret it)
