Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms. Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. ​Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

There is an abundance of native animals here including kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access.We can accommodate both small and large groups with sites just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with shallow water which is great for kids & families. We had a wonderful stay! The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. The campsite was well spaced out from our neighbors, allowing us to really enjoy private family time. We were also lucky enough to spot a wild koala right at the campground, which was such a special experience. It became a truly memorable family trip for us. We would love to come back again!

What a great location! It’s quiet and open but not far from supermarkets or great restaurants! The shed is an amazing facility which has a kitchen, fridge, and more, as well as a new bathroom. Made our camping trip a luxury, and also helped keep us dry when the torrential rains came through. Deb and Lambert were extremely welcoming hosts too!

Great spot for a night stay to break up our trip home. Would be awesome for a weekend with a group of friends. Great facilities that look brand new and very clean. Loved the use of the fire pit while watching planes fly into Sydney. Only negative is the smell if the wind is blowing the wrong way from the treatment plant next door.

We (family of 4) had a great time at Canoelands, our boys loved exploring the orchard and feeding the animals. Fantastic large, level sites. Great location being just an hour from Sydney. We stayed Easter long weekend and had no issues with traffic. Clear skies at night that are great for star Gazing. Jaime and Nathan were very friendly and helpful.. will definitely be back again for a weekend.

Mum and 2 young kids. We had such an awesome Easter weekend camping at warm corner. We were greeted at the property by Lambert who was very accommodating. We were given the option to camp up top or down at the river and we chose the river to afford more privacy. Lambert even came down to help me in the middle of the night to turn the gas on for me which was tightened too much. There was plenty of firewood for us to make a fire. The whole booking process was very smooth, prompt replies and the reviews really do speak to their fabulous service. The amenities were new and very clean, my kids loved the rec room. The air hockey and table tennis where a big hit with the kids, as was the cows, horses and kangaroos. We definitely will be coming back!

Overall, it was a great experience for us as newbies to camping. BYO toilet and shower would be ideal as it’s a bit of a walk. Our 2 year old son enjoyed the tractor ride and kept asking for more. Animal feeding was also his favourite. There’s so much to do but still quiet and peaceful at night.

We loved our Easter stay at Canoelands Orchards. The sites are large and well maintained (grass), with a firepit on each site. Firewood can be purchased and delivered to site. There’s a cafe and farm shop onsite open daily. Plus daily fruit picking and animal feeding, there was also tractor rides when we were there! Kids had a ball!! No electricity or water on site. Amenities are basic but clean. The owners are wonderful, kind and responsive. They even fixed my son’s bike when he had a fall, and bought us an ice pack to camp! The sunsets and sunrises amongst the vines were amazing, a great long weekend off grid in nature. Close to wisemans ferry for shops, pub and fishing! Highly recommend, we will be back.

We stayed at Site 6 in the Orchard Campground for 3 nights over the Easter break and had an amazing time! The campsite was spacious with very large plots, giving us plenty of room to set up our gear and still have space to relax and explore. One of the highlights was having the on-site café—perfect for that much-needed morning coffee before starting the day. Our 6-year-old absolutely loved feeding the farm animals and riding in the tractors around the property. There was always something to keep her entertained! The campground has clean toilets and showers, which made the stay really comfortable. And at night, the sky is something else—you can see a blanket of stars and even spot satellites drifting across the sky. It was a peaceful and memorable experience. Being located at Canoelands Orchard, there’s also the chance to pick fresh seasonal fruit, enjoy delicious house-made jams and relishes, and even grab a cider or fresh juice from the farm shop. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the relaxed farm atmosphere was a great escape from the city. Highly recommend this spot for families or anyone wanting to unwind in a beautiful, rural setting!

Great place to stay. Unbelievable it’s such close to city but so peaceful and natural. Owner’s three dogs are so friendly and they can even lead you to the toilet! They would even defend for you whenever there is unexpected sound (could be wild rabbit according to owner) somewhere in the dark far away from us at night. The only downside is their defending bark may wake you up at night. But I’m ok with that.

Camp grounds were really well kept and it was nice being near the farm animals. Our kids loved the dogs, and they were great with the kids but we did have to be a little careful when food was around. The facilities were good and it’s a great option to have close by. Hosts were great, and even gave us some food to feed the farm animals with.

We stayed at site 4, which was under powerlines but that didn’t bother us. It was quiet and secluded away from other sites. Amenities are an easy 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend staying at Canoelands Orchard!

Our first Hipcamp experience in our new caravan shakedown and definitely an enjoyable one that we were already on the app looking for our next adventure. Darren’s hospitality was amazing, friendly and genuine! The property features are great with fun animals which our 6 year old fell in love with. From Johnny the Donkey to a cuddle with the emu we loved it all. Decking/gazebo perched high overlooking the paddocks and to enjoy the fabulous sun sets. Fire pits for when the day cooled off with enjoyable walks around the property to collect firewood. Large chess board, trampoline and plenty of shaded grasses areas. Facilities close by with The Hub, Mangrove Mountain, about 5 minutes away, a great place to stop for a coffee, burger and stock up on essentials. We stayed 4 nights and would have stayed longer but it was already fully booked due to it being the Easter long weekend. Great for a quick stop over or a longer time away as it is peaceful yet close to venture out on day trips.

We are 1.2 km from the township along the River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. That said, due to Covid and weather, people often cancel at the last minute too, so if we are currently booked out, it's always worthile checking again closer to the date for any availability. We are on acreage (approx 7 acres) in Otford, surrounded by forest, backing onto the very southern end of the Royal National Park Sydney/Wollongong. Sleep under the stars, and to the hoot of our local owls, and yips of the gorgeous feather-tail gliders. Lovely, peaceful and private in a bushland backdrop but so close and just a hike to famous sites, beaches, cafes and bushwalking - so the perfect spot to stop, unpack and then go exploring. Hello Campers! Our beautiful property is located on 20 acres in a convenient location just 10 minutes out of Campbelltown. The property is a short drive to Dharawal National Park, and a great 'home base' while you explore everything the area has to offer. There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. If you would like to be further away you can camp near our dam which is becoming more popular as of late .If you would like to be totally tucked away in the bush we also have spots totally surrounded by bush, please let us know when booking. There is a hot outdoor shower and a toilet on site just a short walk from all the camp sites. ANZAC WEEKEND FULLY BOOKED Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. Please note: Due to our location bookings may be canceled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course, Hipcamp credits will be arranged.
