NEW LOCATION, NEW FREINDS This was our first trip to Palm Cove, and we just loved it. Between the super secluded location of our camp, right on the river. Or, the super friendly hosts and an invite to a "camp oven social". This is our new favourite Hipcamp. Nadine and Troy went out of their way to make us comfortable. Troy cut us a huge lot of firewood, so grateful. Nadine came and personally invited us to get to know everyone staying with drinks around the fire pit. Husband even caught a couple of Cod. We can't wait for our next visit

Camping at Sheryl and James's property at The lagoon is a a very special experience. Surrounded by lush land and a beautiful hill that has sacred rocks and a great walk for a stunning view and sunset photos. The camp grounds are immaculate with fire pits, right on the rivers edge. Fishing and a rope swing. It's the perfect overnight stay or a long relaxing few days in nature. You will not be disappointed in any way.

Palm Cove was absolutely wonderful, the gazebo setup next to the river was beautiful and clean the grass around was lush and green and could be mistaken for a golf course! The toilet was clean and flushable, no long drop! Nadine was very welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond what is expected. Oh and the views! They have found their piece of paradise and I'm grateful they have chosen to share it with all of us. Thanks Nadine for allowing us to have such a great time.

The property right on the edge of the river, was super peaceful. My beloved caught a couple of fish. The owner came down to check we were happy, really nice personal touch. We'll definitely be back.

Great communication from the hosts and the campsite was terrific! Right on the river and while we could see some other campers in the distance, it felt like we were. Easy access towing our caravan. Highly recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Palm Cove On The Murrumbidgee

Nadine and Troy have thought of everything. It is a beautiful spot right on the river. Fire pits, fire wood, solar lights in the trees. They have done a lot of work and the property is parklike. Not sure what number site we were on (Lucky us had a choice when we arrived) but any one of them is great! Thy made us feel welcome and we were thrilled to share their patch of paradise. Would thoroughly recommend this camp and may well visit again if down that way.

We throughly enjoyed our stay so much we added on an extra night. The camping areas are well maintained with limited places available so no overcrowding - perfect! The property is close to Gundagai, Wagga and a number of other day trip towns in the Riverina. James and Sheryl were very accommodating and we are now planning to make this an annual getaway (literally from everything 😊).

It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilets (3)otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please consult hosts regarding fires during dry summer months even when no fire ban in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet.
